After they move in, the ghost of a sea captain's wife who lived there two centuries earlier warns Marjorie they'd better leave, lest Bert and Robbie become lost at sea... the same fate as the ghost's own husband and son.

In this episode, a lawyer tries to prove to a jury…and to himself…that his mugger client is innocent of murder by asking to perform a chemical test on the knife allegedly used in the killing.

In this episode, a man and woman find themselves imprisoned in a peculiar forest that has two sides: one is as deathly frightening as the giant presiding over it; the other as gentle and enticing as the woman who resides there.

CBS Radio MYSTERY THEATRE is a radio drama series created and directed by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982. Later in the early 2000s the show was repeated by the NPR satellite feed.
The format was similar to that of classic old time radio shows like The Mysterious Traveler and The Whistler, in that the episodes were introduced by host E. G. Marshall who provided pithy wisdom and commentary throughout. Unlike the hosts of those earlier programs, Marshall is fully mortal, merely someone whose heightened insight and erudition plunge the listener into the world of the macabre.
CBS Radio MYSTERY THEATRE was broadcast each weeknight, at first with a new program each night. Later in the run, three or four episodes were new originals each week, and the remainder repeats. There were 1,399 original episodes.

I listened to these in the 70s, back when all we had was an AM transistor radio that took a 9 volt battery, and had an earpiece to listen through, not at all like the earbuds today. (Anyone touch the battery to your tongue to see if it was dead?..😫 zingers!)
