‘The End of the World is a Cul-De-Sac’ is such a cool title. So is ‘My Pen Is The Wing Of A Bird’. I think Jack’s type is unusually long titles, good covers and excellent blurbs which could literally be any one of us.

Jack may be one of the only booktubers who NEVER disappoints. He always has new and diverse content, diversifies his videos, does real research on what he reads and comes up with new ideas for videos super frequently. I sometimes find myself a bit annoyed at other booktubers for repeating stuff about the same popular books over and over again, but with Jack you can feel how really and genuinely passionate he is about reading and finding new ways to communicate his passions to us. Great job, Jack!

It would be so amazing, Jack, if you were to create a public catalogue of all the books you’ve spoken about and identify the video(s) they’re mentioned and/or reviewed in! I have never thought about putting the translator's name on the cover, but now that i think about it it's so important!! In Spain a lot of the books we read are translated from english and the translator's name is always inside the book with all the copyright section, which now seems really unfair to me. It's just so common to read translated books here that we don't aknowledge the work of the people who made possible for us to read it. I hope they start changing that but so far i've never seen the translator's name on the cover :(

Historical fiction just to be clear!! I just thought you might want to know that that was the first time I ever heard or read about Hay on Wye and the book town it became. Lady of Hay was first published back in 1986. I absolutely adored the original cover. The E-book cover it has now is rather blah and meh. Happy Pride Month! It was my birthday yesterday so I consider this as a birthday gift I haven’t opened till now. Also, I was gifted ‘The Greatest Assamese Stories Ever Told’ which is a Short Story Collection selected and edited by Mitra Phukan so yes, we need a video on Short Stories.

As a non native speaker; trying to say all he Norse names of gods, folklore, even language in general... is pretty difficult for me lol my first language is english, and I can speak different levels of formal and informal speech for various ones too, but Scandinavian is so hard to get the precise accents when speaking 🤷‍♂️😶 I've hear it so many times and the actual way to say the gods' names. So different from the Americanized movie names lol

I was just thinking of you as I read All That’s Left In The World by Erik J. Brown, a really touchingly sweet and sometimes anxiety ridden page turner that is like a post apocalyptic Heartstopper meets Cormac McCarthy’s The Road.
If you have not come across or read this I can heartily recommend it and think it would be just up your street based on other reads you have recommended recently 👍
