Kindle does have an assistive reader that sounds great and follows along. You have to click the letter at the right corner of the screen that would change font and then hit more and at the bottom is assistive reader. It is not robotic. I doesn't do all books. It doesn't do pdf's, but if you convert pdf to word and send it to kindle as a word document then it reads it to you. I think most all books you buy from kindle lets you use the assistive reader.
I also like BOOX products, it's comfortable and good for my eyes. I have an e-book with a large screen, but it's not always convenient on the go, so after your video, I wanted to have this great little thing even more.
I'm thinking you may enjoy the Boox Go 10.3 and Boox Go Color 7. I really love these Android e-ink devices since they're the closest thing to a platform agnostic e-reader device we have.
OK, one more thing and I"ll stop, I promise - This is a great device for the Libby app. No need to transfer your library e-books to a Kindle or buy a Kobo e-reader.
If you order from the box site you can buy it in a bundle with a case. A lot of people in a boox fb group have suggested screen protectors because they’re sensitive and others have noted although it has a textured surface is still slippery. People have dropped them and gotten chinks in the device so take that all into account I’d say it is wise to invest in protective cases for longevity.

That's amazing, I didn't know that!

Yes it’s such a nice accessory to my full size e-ink tablet!

And the Boox Palma is the perfect one handed e-reader when you have a cat on your lap or on your arm wanting pets.

Do you have a video on how to use speechify with the app on the boox Palma?
Great video. I have been on the fence about buying this... Do you need a case with this device?

You don't need it, though, if you buy from Boox, they'll include a case for free, so you can try it and see if you like it.
