I Sanded Down The Part For The Glove Box To The Default Colour Back To Black By Using Very Fine Sand Paper And Then I Touched It Up A Bit With Cheap Paint And I Used A Very small Paint Brush. 😃👍.
More great detail for the interior of this goth car. Did you know there was an episode where KITT was painted white? He'd been destroyed and rebuilt and was suffering from PTSD and couldn't drive himself very well.
Love these videos keep them coming! Most of the comments are right about the gear shifter and the gas pedal and the glove box was black not brown. But not sure if kitt had a e brake handle! Knight rider historians will know more they are doing the build also go check them out!
Yesterday construction phases 55-58 received and installed ... and also 2 steps forward from construction phase 65 > cockpit and spray protection wall (or fire protection wall?) attached to the floor of the passenger compartment ...
I got the carpet and mat upgrade but don’t plan to take the backing of the mats as I want them moveable like real car mats and I can see the foot pads upgrade to
On the gearshift knob, the Firebird emblem has been removed. It should just have a chrome ring bezel. If that sticker can be peeled off without removing the bezel then that’ll be more accurate to the actual car.
Not sure why the console compartment lid is tan (Color name is actually Camel Tan) as there hasn't been a console lid that was color coded to the interior color since 1981. Should be black. They didn't add the Charcoal color to the lid until the interior was remade for the 1985 model year when the entire dashboard and console were redesigned in the Firebird/TransAm, and those were the only console colors available every year since (with the exception of the apparently optional carpeted side panels in the Camaro from 85-92). :edit: Oh, and maybe at some point Mike Lane or someone will release a "correct" console lid that is more detailed... it should have "stitching" on each side on the top running from front to back. Again, the console lid was smoothed for the 1985 revamp of the console. Either way, it should also have another bit on it to limit the opening to 90* straight up as well.
Hey Wayne I am loving these mods are they available in the U.S. because I would love to use them. Also would you happen to know where I can get an amber colored piece of acrylic I was wanting to get a second Kitt model so I can make his twin brother Karr
I noticed on your video of the dashboard you have the cables coming out the rear of the dash and should be coming down the way so goes through the hole on the floor pan …. Pls double check before you carry on building

K.I.T.T. is really beginning to take shape. Great video Wayne.
Whilst you're cold I'm sitting here watching this sweating at 9 pm in Western Australia, nice video 👍🇦🇺🦘
I hope you get crotch rot! 🤣🤣🤣

He wasn't painted white, it was a light grey primer
@@danielfoster2339 the last time I saw the episode was back in the 80s when I was a kid.
That episode is called "junk yard dog"

Thank you for doing this. I just got stage 3 or 4 I think. Just got the floor pan

stages 59-65 only deal with the seats so far so I could easily do the extra steps of stage 65...
you should place the topad on the black mat
Oddly enough, this model looks to have a higher build quality and tighter fitments than most mid-80's GM F-Bodies.
I can agree with that

if your hands get really cold, you can hold the glass of the lava lite to warm them.
😂😂😂
are you going to paint the center console compartment door? It absolutely blows my mind that deagostini let that slip and didnt mold it in black.
Some people are starting to receive black glove box doors now from fanhome, they must be listing to peoples reviews
I didn't think KITT had seat belts cause of some passenger retention device (could be remembering wrong lol)
Yeah i think he had laser restraints instead.
A fictional feature referred to as " passive laser restraints".

Fab video but sure kitt had a passive restraining system so had no seat belts Wayne
Do you buy the mats separated

Yep. Available worldwide
Looking good can't wait to see this finished. Have you heard any news about Hogwarts Express yet?
Nope nothing. With Hachette release list for 2023 it doesn’t seem to be coming anytime soon
Apparently you put that little piece of carpet on the wrong side of the center console you can see the plastic
Yep. I changed it. You can peel it off with a hairdryer
I dont think KITT had seat belts in the show, Laser restraints.
Accelerator needs LEDs and a servo...
Yea I noticed that too. That’s season 3-4 gas pedal with the season 1-2 dash idk why they did that!

Yep. I still need to change it before the next pack
