The fact that Yared Nuguse is an avid Splatoon fan and won bronze in the Men's 1500m was honestly the highlight of the Olympics for me and alot of people.

The high jumper situation really pissed me off. He was never in the talks of medaling/taking gold. He jumped a big PR and took silver while being on NOBODY'S radar. His success is now being overshadowed with a bunch of wannabe track fans that don't know anything about the sport. And blaming him for the US not beating China in Olympic golds is sooooo ridiculous. There were many other American athletes that could of/should of won gold in their respective events but didn't. Simone Biles stepped out of bounds twice for her floor routine, causing her to take second. Chase Jackson didn't make finals in women's shot put when she was the favorite to win it all. The men's 4x100 messing up, Noah Lyles getting sick, and so many more. It's sickening that so many were blaming McEwin.
In simone's defence, she was hurt and I'm surprised she even kept that triple double in bounds since she hurt herself further during the warm up. I fully agree that people shouldn't have blamed him though. If people were watching, he barely got his last few jumps in and the new zealander was much closer to hitting it even before the tie-breaker. The O'Keeffe story reminded me of Rose Harvey, who finished the marathon this year on a broken leg. She apparently felt tightness in the hip beforehand, and two miles in realised she was done. It turned out she had a stress fracture in her femur. Afterwards she said "In any other race, I would have stopped and there were so many moments when I thought I couldn't take another step. The downhills were hell. But despite that most of my race goals having slipped away, there was still a tiny part of my Olympic dream that I could hang on to - and that was finishing the Olympic marathon."
The IOC content block is so stupid. Why are they trying to stop people promoting their own event for free? Had a video on the 10km blocked within 24 hours after it did not flag on content ID and that subsequently saw a flatline in views in the 2 weeks after.

Simple as, more people watching stuff on YT from independent creators means less people watching the IOC live. Also the whole we are giving the IOC free promotion is proper BS because if you want to use that excuse, what would you do if the roles were reversed. Would you complain and file a strike if the IOC used your content and said it was fine because they were giving you free advertising? The IOC are within their rights to copyright strike videos with their content in, just as much as you are to copyright strike any content with your own content in. Just because they are a major organisation doesn't mean any time they do make a claim it is copyright abuse, sometimes it is, and I will defend creators for that, but again if you allow smaller, independent creators to break the rules, why get mad when the major organisations are actually following them?

I was lucky enough to be in Europe for most of the Olympics, but, yes, that timing allowed a much larger North American audience to see Mondo in action. I have to say, Kendricks was so appreciative of how good Duplantis was (and is). I was in Greece so there was great excitement regarding the very likable Karalis taking bronze.
It is interesting that while the Olympics are treated as the pinnacle of many sports, for big time fans of those particular sports, Worlds is vastly more important in a technical sense. Yes an Olympic gold is bigger than a Worlds gold, but Worlds is like an annual Summer Camp, while the Olympics are like a vacation to Disneyland.

Basketball channel "Hardwood" got 3 strikes from them for "showing official banners used on the playing area" and had to get YT involved to remove the strikes and prevent his channel from being terminated, and he STILL got a 7-day uploading ban; he knew the IOC would probably strike him, so he used fan footage and still got struck. Clips from any television broadcast usually get taken down by either the network that broadcasts them or the company that produces the broadcasts.
Yulimar Rojas' absence was definitely felt - she is so incredibly dominant in the same way Janja Garnbret is in the lead and boulder climbing or Sydney McLaughlin is in the the 400mH. It's mind-blowing that she was a full 1m clear of her nearest competition in the World Indoor Championship in 2022

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce Injury I absolutely believe that she got injured before the 100m semi finals, because of a rushed warm up. They way she (and Sha'Carri) were treated at the entrance gate is a disgrace.
There was a lot of suspect stuff this Olympics. I think all marathons were rigged. I think the spirits were tampered with. I think they intentionally did not allow all teams to prepare the same. I also think i watched MANY athletes intentionally slow down. I would be interested to audit bank accounts after this Olympics bc it was crazy.

Unpopular opinion: I like Sydney M-L's game plan of holding herself back, running the events she wants, at the low-stakes meets she wants. She is able to build up for actual championships, while 2nd-best runners fight for scraps in diamond league.
I mean sure, if she just loves winning and doesn’t actually care about the sport. Anyone with a real passion for track and field would absolutely compete in multiple events, given the caliber of diverse talents.

There is nothing weird about Ingebrigsten dominating the 1500m all year then proceeding to lose to a random at the World/Olympic final. Then channeling that anger to win the 5000m. It always happens.
Not mentioning the most impressive feat this Olympics in Sifan Hassan's double Bronze Medals in the 5k and 10k and then winning Gold in the Marathon with an Olympic record just 36 hours later is insane.
The IOC copyright is crazy. Look at how little they upload - no semis, no heats, English only, commentary sometimes replaced on videos (in itself fine, but no advanced notice or rhyme/reason to which). The Olympics are literally over and you're getting as many views as a mid tier TH-camr (IOC that is). In my view, Georgia Bell is just continuing where she left off before going to university. She was the classic case of a prodigious youngster ruined by the NCAA circuit (mental exhaustion, stress fractures from overtraining etc.), so we've never actually seen what she's capable of. Now she's had a concerted period of a few years under a proper coach, Trevor Painter, we're seeing her achieve her potential. I honestly get the skepticism due to the unfortunate history of our sport, but I think the accusations against Georgia are empty and unwarranted. Also, the meteoric improvement alluded to at 21:44 is a bit off. She recorded a 4:06 last year, as well as posting some very strong indoor times and consistent performances throughout 2024. It's not like that 3:52 just fell out of the sky.
I definitely feel like T&F does a pretty terrible job at marketing itself. As RunnerBoi is saying, they won't post their own content, and they won't let others post it either. Its a historic race that already happened. How much money are you going to make off of it anyway? It doesn't belong in a vault.
The US has always had a wealth of talent in short sprints. This is both a blessing and a curse when it comes to the 4x100 in that different guys might be dominant over the course of a few years. Most countries have to rely on essentially the same guys over longer periods affording their relay teams more consistency. If our coaches picked a pool of 6 from the top 10 US sprinters to stick with over a 3yr period or so, they might be sharper at baton passes and finish with great times. But if they get anything less than GOLD because all the best sprinters THAT YEAR aren't on the relay team the coaches would get hammered for not inserting them in the mix.
A real shame you didn’t mention Keely’s win, just Mu’s absence. She’s been 2nd for so many titles, from both surprising (Tokyo) and disappointing (commies and worlds) to finally getting her Olympic gold was brilliant to see

I saw the Men's 100 and being ignorant, I'm not a running guy, I was confused because I thought head over first he wins, right? Didn't know the torso thing. But I'm wrong and that's ok. I'm comfortable not knowing everything. And the torso thing makes sense. It's fine, it's just not what I previously thought. But I think it's weird, to go from being wrong to saying, "ah! But you see I'm in fact right and the ENTIRE body of sports that I've only just seen for the Olympics,,,,, That's wrong." Like, come on. XD

About the American relays: as we know, America usually is the most stacked country in the world in terms of world class sprinters. But to some degree, that can actually be a pretty bad thing when it comes to the relays. America is easily the hardest team to make in terms of trying to go to the Olympics or world championships in a sprinting event, that most athletes that have a chance at competing on the relay typically do not care to do any baton training because they’re more so worried about not making the team in their own individual event. It’s not like Great Britain or Italy or Canada that have maybe 4 to 6 very high class runners who can basically train relays with each other at any point in time during the season due to the fact, they know they will be the only ones running on the relay when the major championship comes around. In fact, as we know the American competition for who is the best sprinter in the country more so in the 100, change is very rapidly, and in some cases changes all the way down up through that major championship. Even with Jamaica as stacked as they used to be Usain, Johan and Powell were pretty much always three runners who were on that team for a good seven years so therefore the need to practice handoff between those three year and year out was not so much as needed as America where the top four sprinters in the country change very rapidly from season to season. Although what I do not get is why they decided to change the lineup from the prelims given the fact that the time they ran in the prelims would have won them gold in the finals. Of course they have no way of knowing what time it was going to take to win gold, but given the fact that their handoffs were pretty decent with the lineup they had and knowing they usually struggle with handoffs, you would think they wouldn’t take the risk but they did, and the result most feared happened. I do also believe that there is some sort of favoritism based on who was originally slated in the lineup. Given the fact they put guys like king over Knighten or Lindsay along with putting Gabby on the 4 x 4 relay despite their being five runners in Paris, who had run better 400s this season then she had. But nonetheless, I shouldn’t let this distract us from the fact that America will probably always have bad handoffs for as long as there’s always more than four athletes that stand out fighting for a spot on the 100 or 200 team while using the relay as just a bonus rather than the event, they will most likely win a medal in unlike other countries who see the relay as their only way to win a global medal

The weird runaround they made the athletes do before the womens 100 was so upsetting! I fully agree Julien Alfred definitely was in contention for gold regardless, I just would've loved to see a truly competitive womens 100! It's so frustrating, especially knowing how much Sha'Carri has been through to get to the games in the first place. As you pointed out throughout the video, there were a lot of incidents in Paris of non-Western athletes seemingly being targeted, and when western athletes were targeted they were often Black athletes. It's all so distressing

Athletes are allowed to want to stand alone atop the podium, even if that risks not making it up there at all, without being accused of putting their ego above their national medal tally or whatever.

Honestly, between the short qualifying period, the ridiculous qualifying rules, Paris being the host city, the IOC being in predator mode, the poor streaming services, and how athletes were treated (beds, no AC, food, polluted river, etc) I'm surprised the Games went ahead with any success for competitors and viewers. Somehow some athletes still managed to get over all of it and win. Let's hope the next Games are better.
I’m starting to get relatively annoyed with American and Jamaican fans for some pretty justifiable reasons. Hoppel improved by a far larger margin than Wanyonyi, Arop, and Sedjati did from last season and still it was Sedjati who was being targeted as a doper. Arop was a raining world champion, Wanyonyi a reigning silver medalist which can justify why they didn’t get much criticism maybe, but I can’t tell you how many comments were being made about how Hoppel should’ve had the bronze if it weren’t for Sedjati doping even though he literally has not tested positive once despite having more random tests done on him that Arop, Wanyonyi and Hoppel combined. As for Jamaicans, the fact that this is the second year in a row their athlete has lost a 100m medal by thousandths of a second is making them act like the sport is somehow rigged even though I’m certain that the majority of them are very aware of the rules and were just letting their own emotions try to justify why the outcome should have been changed. To summarize, America literally won a medal in every track running event aside from the 800, but somehow that’s enough to make them act like there was a runner who robbed them of that bronze meanwhile Jamaica just seems to be trying to cope from a bunch of disastrous performances across the sprinting events by attacking the one event they thought they had on lock where the man they hated most came away with the win
I expected to see Lamara Distin in the HJ, Danniel Thomas-Dodd and Chase Jackson in the Shot and Mackenzie Little in the Jav so it was disappointing to hear that the two Jamaican women were not supported by their own country's federation. It was also ironic as you failed to mention the crazy Men's Discus comp was won by a Jamaican man. I agree with a lot of your track summary, that Men's 10000m was the biggest surprise to me for all the reasons you mention. However, no love for Marileidy and Salwa in the women's 400m? Marileidy is now 4 on the all time list and more likely to break the WR than an athlete who doesn't run in this event. All the women in this field were under 50s and the top three were under 49s! I thought this was a much more exciting race than the men's because Marileidy has been doubted by many but she's unbeaten this year and has now proven she is the powerhouse of this event. Did you catch the Lausanne DL? The Men's 800m is my favourite track event this year and this was another insane race. What happened to Arop?? Wanyonyi is so close to breaking Rudisha's record now. I hadn't heard what happened to Sedjati in the Olympics, I hope this hasn't discouraged him from racing because I was surprised not to see him in Lausanne, he's been a fixture of DL this year. Edited to say I wish Noah Lyles wasn't marketed as the face of track, he's such a polarizing figure for fans and on the basis of a recent podcast where athletes from other countries applauded his loss to Letsile Tebogo it sounds like he's not much liked by other athletes. The US isn't short of other male sprinters who are much more loveable, I know I'm biased towards Fred Kerley who I consider way more charismatic than Lyles, but if Fred isn't your meat what's wrong with Kung Fu Kenny, his backstory alone is enough to make fans warm to him.

As a disabled athlete hoping to make LA in 28’ it would be awesome it’s insane how basically no one in the paralympics gets any money ( yes there are exceptions, yes most athletes get there money from sponsors and yes lower money is normal compared to the world championships on average ) but still, it feels like the Paralympics is still not taken seriously I get jabs from serious members of my community for running against ‘ weaker competition ‘ yes obviously disabled people are slower or have handicaps or need rule changes for a variety of reasons but I think people starting to cover the paralympics and disabled events ( there’s probably a better term to use then disabled but I’ve never been bothered by calling myself a disabled athlete no offence intended to anyone who feels I’m being disrespected) and call out the poor management of para athletics and other national and international governing bodies poor treatment or lack of drive ti give these athletes what they deserve. Yes, O'Keefe running in the marathon was weird, the western favoritism and African racism (Hassan, Sedjati and others who are getting the doping claims) is always wild in track but even moreso in Paris. Yes, look into EVERYONE if you're investigating doping claims etc. Athletics was grear this Olympics - seeing the gutsy performances by US distance runners, sprinting etc. it was great. The coverage was quite lackluster with the times and just Peacock glitching the entire Olympics during events also didn't help. But, again, excellent coverage.
Something that you didn't mention in the weirdness of this Olympics is that this marks the first time since 1964 that Kenya entered the men's steeplechase and didn't win gold.
Usa men’s relay got to build a proper team like canada. No substitutions, build a true team. Usa sprinters all fighting for the spots for the ego, they need to have 4 set dudes and one alt which just practice year round.
Ethiopia is notorious in the athletics community as having dishonest and disgraceful runners. The constant shoving, pushing, and pulling is always prevalent in their runners' performances. Tsegay tried to push Faith, but Faith managed to hold her own. Kejelcha and the rest of the wolfpack were seen doing this in men's events. It's always Ethiopia that brings out the unsportsmanlike bunch.

15:54 it’s been confirmed by T&F News and other reliable sources that the relays almost never practice. This has been a known fact since the 80s when they allowed professional athletes to compete in the Olympics. Egos took over the relays…they argue over what leg is ran, their practice times, etc.
I'm surprised they don't have a scoring system like they do in Track and Field to determine which country won the Olympics. The medal count is a good start, but a point system for G, S, B that included extra points for team sports would be interesting.

If the olympics has taught me anything, there is a difference between being a fast runner and being a good racer.
If you’re far enough ahead of the field, it doesn’t matter. Sydney McLaughlin could run a pretty “bad” race and still win a meet.

The O'Keeffe story reminded me of Rose Harvey, who finished the marathon this year on a broken leg. She apparently felt tightness in the hip beforehand, and two miles in realised she was done. It turned out she had a stress fracture in her femur. Afterwards she said "In any other race, I would have stopped and there were so many moments when I thought I couldn't take another step. The downhills were hell. But despite that most of my race goals having slipped away, there was still a tiny part of my Olympic dream that I could hang on to - and that was finishing the Olympic marathon."
The IOC content block is so stupid. Why are they trying to stop people promoting their own event for free? Had a video on the 10km blocked within 24 hours after it did not flag on content ID and that subsequently saw a flatline in views in the 2 weeks after.

The IOC are within their rights to copyright strike videos with their content in, just as much as you are to copyright strike any content with your own content in. Just because they are a major organisation doesn't mean any time they do make a claim it is copyright abuse, sometimes it is, and I will defend creators for that, but again if you allow smaller, independent creators to break the rules, why get mad when the major organisations are actually following them?

I was lucky enough to be in Europe for most of the Olympics, but, yes, that timing allowed a much larger North American audience to see Mondo in action. I have to say, Kendricks was so appreciative of how good Duplantis was (and is). I was in Greece so there was great excitement regarding the very likable Karalis taking bronze.
It is interesting that while the Olympics are treated as the pinnacle of many sports, for big time fans of those particular sports, Worlds is vastly more important in a technical sense. Yes an Olympic gold is bigger than a Worlds gold, but Worlds is like an annual Summer Camp, while the Olympics are like a vacation to Disneyland.

16:45 T&F isn't the only sport that suffered from the IOC's copyright abuse. Basketball channel "Hardwood" got 3 strikes from them for "showing official banners used on the playing area" and had to get YT involved to remove the strikes and prevent his channel from being terminated, and he STILL got a 7-day uploading ban; he knew the IOC would probably strike him, so he used fan footage and still got struck. Clips from any television broadcast usually get taken down by either the network that broadcasts them or the company that produces the broadcasts.
Yulimar Rojas' absence was definitely felt - she is so incredibly dominant in the same way Janja Garnbret is in the lead and boulder climbing or Sydney McLaughlin is in the the 400mH. It's mind-blowing that she was a full 1m clear of her nearest competition in the World Indoor Championship in 2022

Unpopular opinion: I like Sydney M-L's game plan of holding herself back, running the events she wants, at the low-stakes meets she wants. She is able to build up for actual championships, while 2nd-best runners fight for scraps in diamond league.

Not mentioning the most impressive feat this Olympics in Sifan Hassan's double Bronze Medals in the 5k and 10k and then winning Gold in the Marathon with an Olympic record just 36 hours later is insane.
The IOC copyright is crazy. Look at how little they upload - no semis, no heats, English only, commentary sometimes replaced on videos (in itself fine, but no advanced notice or rhyme/reason to which). The Olympics are literally over and you're getting as many views as a mid tier TH-camr (IOC that is).
And the bugbear of my existence, albeit on a lesser note - stuff that was broadcast in 50fps uploaded in 25fps. What, are the 25 other frames copyright claimed? Literally everyone is guilty of this, and Olympics channel only spottily has it.

In my view, Georgia Bell is just continuing where she left off before going to university. She was the classic case of a prodigious youngster ruined by the NCAA circuit (mental exhaustion, stress fractures from overtraining etc.), so we've never actually seen what she's capable of. Now she's had a concerted period of a few years under a proper coach, Trevor Painter, we're seeing her achieve her potential. I honestly get the skepticism due to the unfortunate history of our sport, but I think the accusations against Georgia are empty and unwarranted.
Also, the meteoric improvement alluded to at 21:44 is a bit off. She recorded a 4:06 last year, as well as posting some very strong indoor times and consistent performances throughout 2024. It's not like that 3:52 just fell out of the sky.

I definitely feel like T&F does a pretty terrible job at marketing itself. As RunnerBoi is saying, they won't post their own content, and they won't let others post it either. Its a historic race that already happened. How much money are you going to make off of it anyway? It doesn't belong in a vault.
The US has always had a wealth of talent in short sprints. This is both a blessing and a curse when it comes to the 4x100 in that different guys might be dominant over the course of a few years. Most countries have to rely on essentially the same guys over longer periods affording their relay teams more consistency.
If our coaches picked a pool of 6 from the top 10 US sprinters to stick with over a 3yr period or so, they might be sharper at baton passes and finish with great times. But if they get anything less than GOLD because all the best sprinters THAT YEAR aren't on the relay team the coaches would get hammered for not inserting them in the mix.
A real shame you didn’t mention Keely’s win, just Mu’s absence. She’s been 2nd for so many titles, from both surprising (Tokyo) and disappointing (commies and worlds) to finally getting her Olympic gold was brilliant to see

I saw the Men's 100 and being ignorant, I'm not a running guy, I was confused because I thought head over first he wins, right? Didn't know the torso thing.
But I'm wrong and that's ok. I'm comfortable not knowing everything. And the torso thing makes sense. It's fine, it's just not what I previously thought.

About the American relays: as we know, America usually is the most stacked country in the world in terms of world class sprinters. But to some degree, that can actually be a pretty bad thing when it comes to the relays. America is easily the hardest team to make in terms of trying to go to the Olympics or world championships in a sprinting event, that most athletes that have a chance at competing on the relay typically do not care to do any baton training because they’re more so worried about not making the team in their own individual event. It’s not like Great Britain or Italy or Canada that have maybe 4 to 6 very high class runners who can basically train relays with each other at any point in time during the season due to the fact, they know they will be the only ones running on the relay when the major championship comes around. In fact, as we know the American competition for who is the best sprinter in the country more so in the 100, change is very rapidly, and in some cases changes all the way down up through that major championship. Even with Jamaica as stacked as they used to be Usain, Johan and Powell were pretty much always three runners who were on that team for a good seven years so therefore the need to practice handoff between those three year and year out was not so much as needed as America where the top four sprinters in the country change very rapidly from season to season. Although what I do not get is why they decided to change the lineup from the prelims given the fact that the time they ran in the prelims would have won them gold in the finals. Of course they have no way of knowing what time it was going to take to win gold, but given the fact that their handoffs were pretty decent with the lineup they had and knowing they usually struggle with handoffs, you would think they wouldn’t take the risk but they did, and the result most feared happened. I do also believe that there is some sort of favoritism based on who was originally slated in the lineup. Given the fact they put guys like king over Knighten or Lindsay along with putting Gabby on the 4 x 4 relay despite their being five runners in Paris, who had run better 400s this season then she had. But nonetheless, I shouldn’t let this distract us from the fact that America will probably always have bad handoffs for as long as there’s always more than four athletes that stand out fighting for a spot on the 100 or 200 team while using the relay as just a bonus rather than the event, they will most likely win a medal in unlike other countries who see the relay as their only way to win a global medal

The weird runaround they made the athletes do before the womens 100 was so upsetting! I fully agree Julien Alfred definitely was in contention for gold regardless, I just would've loved to see a truly competitive womens 100! It's so frustrating, especially knowing how much Sha'Carri has been through to get to the games in the first place. As you pointed out throughout the video, there were a lot of incidents in Paris of non-Western athletes seemingly being targeted, and when western athletes were targeted they were often Black athletes. It's all so distressing

Don’t like that we’re taking for granted that sharing the gold is the ‘correct’ thing to do and all that matters is who was first to refuse to do so. Athletes are allowed to want to stand alone atop the podium, even if that risks not making it up there at all, without being accused of putting their ego above their national medal tally or whatever.

Honestly, between the short qualifying period, the ridiculous qualifying rules, Paris being the host city, the IOC being in predator mode, the poor streaming services, and how athletes were treated (beds, no AC, food, polluted river, etc) I'm surprised the Games went ahead with any success for competitors and viewers. Somehow some athletes still managed to get over all of it and win. Let's hope the next Games are better.
I’m starting to get relatively annoyed with American and Jamaican fans for some pretty justifiable reasons. Hoppel improved by a far larger margin than Wanyonyi, Arop, and Sedjati did from last season and still it was Sedjati who was being targeted as a doper. Arop was a raining world champion, Wanyonyi a reigning silver medalist which can justify why they didn’t get much criticism maybe, but I can’t tell you how many comments were being made about how Hoppel should’ve had the bronze if it weren’t for Sedjati doping even though he literally has not tested positive once despite having more random tests done on him that Arop, Wanyonyi and Hoppel combined. As for Jamaicans, the fact that this is the second year in a row their athlete has lost a 100m medal by thousandths of a second is making them act like the sport is somehow rigged even though I’m certain that the majority of them are very aware of the rules and were just letting their own emotions try to justify why the outcome should have been changed. To summarize, America literally won a medal in every track running event aside from the 800, but somehow that’s enough to make them act like there was a runner who robbed them of that bronze meanwhile Jamaica just seems to be trying to cope from a bunch of disastrous performances across the sprinting events by attacking the one event they thought they had on lock where the man they hated most came away with the win
I expected to see Lamara Distin in the HJ, Danniel Thomas-Dodd and Chase Jackson in the Shot and Mackenzie Little in the Jav so it was disappointing to hear that the two Jamaican women were not supported by their own country's federation. It was also ironic as you failed to mention the crazy Men's Discus comp was won by a Jamaican man. I agree with a lot of your track summary, that Men's 10000m was the biggest surprise to me for all the reasons you mention. However, no love for Marileidy and Salwa in the women's 400m? Marileidy is now 4 on the all time list and more likely to break the WR than an athlete who doesn't run in this event. All the women in this field were under 50s and the top three were under 49s! I thought this was a much more exciting race than the men's because Marileidy has been doubted by many but she's unbeaten this year and has now proven she is the powerhouse of this event. Did you catch the Lausanne DL? The Men's 800m is my favourite track event this year and this was another insane race. What happened to Arop?? Wanyonyi is so close to breaking Rudisha's record now. I hadn't heard what happened to Sedjati in the Olympics, I hope this hasn't discouraged him from racing because I was surprised not to see him in Lausanne, he's been a fixture of DL this year. Edited to say I wish Noah Lyles wasn't marketed as the face of track, he's such a polarizing figure for fans and on the basis of a recent podcast where athletes from other countries applauded his loss to Letsile Tebogo it sounds like he's not much liked by other athletes. The US isn't short of other male sprinters who are much more loveable, I know I'm biased towards Fred Kerley who I consider way more charismatic than Lyles, but if Fred isn't your meat what's wrong with Kung Fu Kenny, his backstory alone is enough to make fans warm to him.

Please discuss why its great when Ingebrigtsen or Kerr trash talk and big up themselves, but its arrogance and negative if Noah does it. Its also apparently cool for Mondo to challenge Warholm. As a disabled athlete hoping to make LA in 28’ it would be awesome it’s insane how basically no one in the paralympics gets any money ( yes there are exceptions, yes most athletes get there money from sponsors and yes lower money is normal compared to the world championships on average ) but still, it feels like the Paralympics is still not taken seriously I get jabs from serious members of my community for running against ‘ weaker competition ‘ yes obviously disabled people are slower or have handicaps or need rule changes for a variety of reasons but I think people starting to cover the paralympics and disabled events ( there’s probably a better term to use then disabled but I’ve never been bothered by calling myself a disabled athlete no offence intended to anyone who feels I’m being disrespected) and call out the poor management of para athletics and other national and international governing bodies poor treatment or lack of drive ti give these athletes what they deserve. Yes, O'Keefe running in the marathon was weird, the western favoritism and African racism (Hassan, Sedjati and others who are getting the doping claims) is always wild in track but even moreso in Paris. Yes, look into EVERYONE if you're investigating doping claims etc. Athletics was grear this Olympics - seeing the gutsy performances by US distance runners, sprinting etc. it was great. The coverage was quite lackluster with the times and just Peacock glitching the entire Olympics during events also didn't help. But, again, excellent coverage.
Something that you didn't mention in the weirdness of this Olympics is that this marks the first time since 1964 that Kenya entered the men's steeplechase and didn't win gold.

Ethiopia is notorious in the athletics community as having dishonest and disgraceful runners. The constant shoving, pushing, and pulling is always prevalent in their runners' performances. Tsegay tried to push Faith, but Faith managed to hold her own. Kejelcha and the rest of the wolfpack were seen doing this in men's events. It's always Ethiopia that brings out the unsportsmanlike bunch.

15:54 it’s been confirmed by T&F News and other reliable sources that the relays almost never practice. This has been a known fact since the 80s when they allowed professional athletes to compete in the Olympics. Egos took over the relays…they argue over what leg is ran, their practice times, etc.
I'm surprised they don't have a scoring system like they do in Track and Field to determine which country won the Olympics. The medal count is a good start, but a point system for G, S, B that included extra points for team sports would be interesting.
