G'day Jas, I got the electronic workshop manual. I took it to my local printers on a USB and they printed it for me for a pretty good price. They offered to bind it for me but I ended up putting it into a folder inside plastic pockets. Protects the sheets from dirty fingers
Bloody moisture.I sit my airline in the sun before painting if U didn't know. I've dealt with blisters and repairing them for nearly 3 years. On a hr. Great content bro. Cheers
With this new shed i can really make the environment spray paint friendly. Not like my old shed which wasn't sealed very well against cold moist conditions. I remove the big bungs from the air compressor to inspect inside the tank.
I’m getting some brackets done at Hamilton chrome atm il keep you posted how they turn out coupe is coming along great il have to bring mine out for a visit one day soon 👍🏻
Jase, Use 000 or 0000 grade Steel Wool on your bumper before you put your hand in your pocket. Just use elbow grease, you may be surprised of the result. Cheers
I use the M78 diffs from BA BF wagons and narrow them down for my XY Falcons. One thing I discovered was that you cant put the ring and pinion from a GMH M78 into the Falcon M78. It can be done by machining the diff housing to sit the pinion in further but its not worth the hassle. These diffs can be quite tricky to set up to stop them whining, pinion position is the key, get it wrong and 9 times out of 10 they whine.
Yeah right 🤔 So much easier to have a bango diff. I just take my diff to a specialist these days. I reckon i could pull it off but after reading your comment thats just confirmed it 👍
Yeah I've got the Holley sniper on my 351 and it's great. It just works. Hit me up if you are thinking of getting one as I can help you out on what you'll need to do.
Whats the plan with the handbrake cable Jase? Ive put an EL wagon diff in an XB sedan and I think the best way around it is a custom extended EL cable that reaches all the way up to the 'hockey stick' but fixed to the outer side of the chassis other than the inside where the original XB cable attached. I might end up needing to extend the hockey stick to get the leverage right aswell, unless you have a better solution?
Ive thought about what I need to do. But its been a while since I removed the original hand cable. I don't think the EL handbrake cable will need dramatic tension. The small drum brake pads work well on my bf and fg falcons. Ill be sorting this stuff out in the nect 6 months in reckon
Your right, the bearings are to suite and old school off-set grind stroker. Usually down to chev journal, narrowed bearings shells to suite chev rods. 0.030 overbore gave you the popular 377ci.
Same in the 308 holden engine I scored. Big end journal normally 2 1/8 inch offset ground to 2 inches, using the smaller of the sb chev big end bearings, eagle specialty rods & pistons. Pumped CI from 308 to 333. I'm happy :)
Hi Jase. For the orange on my tonner, had to use a white base coat to make the orange pop, and have to do this on all the parts as the color itself is partially transparent.

I'm not a fan of the digital copies. Much prefer browsing pages without needing a laptop with a charge cable

Hi Jase, u said that u weren’t a painter, panel beater or electrician. Mate I think u do a better job than all those trades. Cheers from Qld

295 is massive mate 😆

Hi jase the lower battery tray mount is just a nut and bolt combo from factory the bolt goes in from engine bay side and nut and washer in inner guard
Cheers mate
Nice vid. The globes collect acids from your skin, which creates a hot spot. That's what shortens their life.
Ar righto copy. Makes sense
@@jason35177 A wipe with white spirits cleans them if you accidentally touch one. Best option is to just avoid touching them period.
Use slightly higher diff ratios it’ll give it that little more poke!!
Mid 3,s stay well away from 4,s not hwy friendly lol but fun.
The 391:1 in the escort is horrible at higher hwy speeds, but its an absolute bullet in a straight line! Ask my mate with HSV GTS 😎

Yes it does launch 🚀 hard 😎

Thanks for that, will do cheers

Would it be hard to build the engine up using this combo?

@@rodparnell1953 I'll need to find someone who can sell me the rods pistons i need. Might be more practical to find another crank ay?
The 351 cranks are cheap and plentiful. Be a lot easier than sorting out chev rods etc @jason35177

I think i got it close but definitely do what you said next time, cheers
I have the V8 version of that manual if you want me to send you photos of the wiring diagrams. I'll be with the car tomorrow..
Ill see how i go. I'm busy again now on shifts at work, cheers
