    This functional workout has been designed to target the core by using movements that are relevant to daily activities, gym movements, and/or sports. I am using a 6kg and 10kg for reference, but use the weight that is right for you. Windmills can be tricky so go light to start and get a feel for the movement, especially if it's a new move for you. Have fun guys and enjoy your workout!🤩

    I really loved seeing how hard you work, and swapping for a lighter kettlebell when you got tired. It helped me remember that this should be hard, and when it gets too hard, not to stop - just switch to a lighter weight! Thank you for that.

    If only TH-cam had a "like multiple times" function, I'd keep pressing it on your workouts!! I layered this session on top of the 20 minute full body strength workout & I'm so glad I did. Thank you SO MUCH Roxanne for a year full of at-home workouts for those of us who are either too anxious to deal with gyms or just can't make it to one (for whatever reason). These workouts have been amazing & I'm truly chuffed that the algorithm sent me in your direction.

  • @danellewright6264
    @danellewright6264 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    those last moves were so hard! do you know if windmills are ok for someone who has diastasis recti from pregnancies? I felt a bit awkward doing them, I kept wanting to squat. love trying all your workouts!

    • @WorkoutWithRoxanne
      @WorkoutWithRoxanne  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question, I wouldn’t recommend doing any heavy windmills whist you still have ab separation. Instead focus on deep core exercises to help bring your abs together. You want to do exercises that pull the abs in rather than push them out. Windmill would be safe without a weight. It really depends on what the doctors have said and recommend. I don’t know your exact condition and how much separation you have. I l recommend this workout: th-cam.com/video/D4JDtSaDo2Q/w-d-xo.html or this standing ab workout: th-cam.com/video/dPteUmmBcDs/w-d-xo.html ❤️

    For the uneven racked knee drives at the end, is the heavier kettlebell on the side with the lifting knee or the stationary knee? It LOOKS like you're doing heavier on the side of the driving knee but I want to be sure I'm doing it right!

    • @WorkoutWithRoxanne
      @WorkoutWithRoxanne  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey lovely yes the heavier weight on the side of the knee that is driving up, it’s honestly doesn’t matter though, as long as both sides are the same 💪🏼😊 play with it, see what is better for you xxx

    Felt it nowhere in my abs.

    • @WorkoutWithRoxanne
      @WorkoutWithRoxanne  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This could be due to a lot of reasons; your kettlebell is too heavy and you are using your arms not core, form is incorrect, your core is not activated and you are using other muscles to compensate, core is weak and other muscles are taking over. This workout is designed for core stability and focusing on the core is paramount, you need to engage the muscles rather than just going through the motion. I hope this helps 😊
