Just watched this video and one other. You do a good job. I’m from old school paint days way before even HVLP gravity feed. I painted MANY land yachts like that Merc and they are a challenge. You are definitely doing it right by maintaining the continuity for the candy color. Looking forward to watching more of your videos and seeing an eventual update on the Merc. Funny to see that other shop has what we called “ Ghost Cars” that just hung around the shop for years 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@J.Lulo_ just a question why wouldn't you use the same material threw out the job? I know spies is a real good paintline
But using house of kolor paint and kandy surprised not using they showclear usc01 you can get the whole kit reducer and harder for like 450 threw tcpglobal
I just did a 2013 charger all h.o.k products and I was very impressed with the usc01 clear

Well the owner of the car didn’t want to spend more money on materials and since we have that clear in house it would be cheaper for him use it.

When you say you put regular clear on the jams for protection, does that mean you reclear them with the whole car later?

No it means that because Iam spraying a kandy color from house of kolors the kandy coat is also a clear coat and Iam spraying a coat of regular clearcoat on top of the kandy coat to protect it.

600 grit sand paper is the best grit for a job like that.
