I've been using Astor CVT Savvy since 5 months in Bangalore. Listing the mileage: Bumper to bumper ~6 kmpl Mild Traffic ~ 9 kmpl Highway ~ 14-15 kmpl I have found that these figures are comparable to any Automatic Petrol Cars. If you want better mileage go for petrol manual/ diesel automatic/ diesel manual options.
I am using Astor cvt sharp since last 8 months. On my mumbai trip i got 14-15 kmpl. And in city i get 9-11. Overall i am happy with the car. The built quality and safety features are awesome.
Don’t buy mg astor if you expect mileage from this car. But no doubt it’s a strong n sturdy car. Build quality is top notch. Lekin Petrol daal ke kangal ho jaoge.inka analysis bahut accurate hai.
The mileage in actual bumper to bumper traffic actually drops to 4-5kmpl on the turbo. This thing is thirsty and I don't know why, in the nexon petrol for example if you don't let the revs build up and turbo kick in, mileage is good. But in astor the turbo kicks in at 3k which is higher than other cars by about 12-1500 rpms. And even in city driving it changes gears at 2.8k rpms so no turbo kicking in but that fuel economy still sucks.
No matter how nicely and gently you drive the Astor CVT gives 6 to maximum 8 Km/l in Bangalore traffic. Very poor fuel efficiency. Single driver with AC on. If heavy traffic then it goes down to 4 Km / ltr. 😢
I have 1.5 mt which in traffic with ac gives around 11 to 12 in city. on highway in mid it touched to 23 and with ac 16 to 17. I suggest try per rpm suggested in manual.
I have an astor ctv savvy varient and I make sure not to rev it and do not go beyond 1.8 rpm. It has been 4 months and I am getting 7.8kmpl mileage in city drive.
Ac off me this shows still actual will be way low... and mg asks to keep rpm as low as u could to get this single digit milage. Where other cars passes u will be monitoring rpm to save oil... Car with bullokcart engine.
I would strongly advise not to. I own the savvy turbo which is a good engine. But I heard very bad feedback about the pickup of MT engine from owners and also MG service center people.
❤Nice video ✏✏i have ASTOR1.5CVT and my FE figures are ☑HIGHWAY 14 -15 + MIX 13 CITY(DON'T ASK😅😅) ~10KMPL So if you choose turbo over NA you might get less mileage as when turbo kicks in the milege will drop . BUT CONSIDERING COST OF MY ASTOR and HYRYDER( Top model) it's 5 LAKH DIFFERENCE so with that gap i can ENJOY MY ASTOR with less mileage + premium features
The one that you are looking at is Distance-to-empty figure which changes everytime as per your current fuel economy based on recent driving conditions. So for e.g. If you go on a long trip using highway and car's fuel economy improves, then after refuel, distance-to-empty will also adjust accordingly. So distance-to-empty is directly linked with your displayed fuel economy and km range increases or decreases basis that.

Love your videos, very informative and detailed
Astor is a small car. It will definitely have better fuel efficiency than Hector. Both Hector and Astor are the best cars in their segments.
ASTOR BHUT ACHI GADI H, PR MILAGE BHUT KM H. HYBRID OPTION DENA CHIYE JISSE 15-16 KI AVG MILE

KIA carens variants explain video please sir
MG Astor has failed in the market only because of its lower mileage.
Am not agree with you. It has failed because of low mileage and low power in NA varient.
Its less powerful than , tiguan kushak and have less milage also
Bhai scooter Wale ko gali nahi diya.. great
Is that horn company fitted or outside?
i drive my manual in city and it gives me 10km/l, in highway it might increase
Please do a video on XUV300 Manual diesel vehicle. Tank to Tank in city and highway conditions

Don't go for MT. I have driven it more then 7 to 8 times in hills and very much disappointed because of power
Worst you could think of 😂
Yes you will feel it under powered due to its weight

Hi , You have full the fuel tank 3 times and every time its showing different values in the screen KM (630, 583, 701). Can you share the reason.

Please do a similar test on tiago nrg

I have MG Astor CVT automatic, in city it gives a 5 to 6.5 klm per liter very bad fuel efficiency. Don’t buy it, their service is very very bad
Pathetic fuel efficiency 😂
Fuel efficiency is very poor
