Just wanted to let you guys know that I think this is the most well made "here's how to install my product" video I've ever seen. This pistol is glock-like enough that this was a really simple process, but I watched this whole video just because it was amazing to me how much detail you guys went into. I bet this took ages to record and edit. Thanks for taking the time to do it right, I feel like if I was 20 again with no idea how a pistol worked, I still would have been able to do this install with no issues thanks to this video. Also, my OEM Hellcat trigger pull varied pretty wildly. 6.1lb on the low end, 7.5lb on the high end. After installing your spring kit, it's between 4.5 and 4.7lb EVERY time. This kit is worth it just for the increase in consistency alone, but the pull being smoother and lighter is icing on the cake. Thanks for making a fantastic product!
Thanks for the heart! A year and several thousand rounds later I'm still loving this trigger, and it's gotten even smoother. Highly recommend to any hellcat owners!
This was, by far, one of the best installation videos I've ever seen. I believe even I can do it! 🙃I have arthritis in my hands and my trigger finger has a hard time pulling back (with pain at times). I'm going to give this a try and, with approximately a 33% lowering of the pull, it should definitely help. Thanks for an awesome video!!
Finally! An aftermarket company that understands that if we are paying to replace a heavy factory trigger, it might be a great idea for their replacement options to actually reduce the weight!
DON'T APOLOGIZE! Hands like that used to be a point of pride! That means you don't play with a mouse for a living. Everyone who shakes my hand says it feels like a sasquatch. Lol Just got one of your kits today. Can't wait to install it.P.S. Just installed the kit! Wow! What a difference and I'm very impressed with the quality of the new stainless part. Two thumbs up. 👍🏼😎👍🏼
This is great. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the shared knowledge and instructions. You guys are doing great work. Life long customer and viewer earned.
I just installed the MCarbo hellcat spring kit. The reduction in trigger weight is wonderful! The trigger break is clean. I had preferred the trigger on my P365X to my hellcat it was way better. Not anymore, seriously the hellcat trigger easily beats the P365X. The install video is great.it wasn't actually difficult just a little awkward to do it the first time. The price is more than fair for such a good result. Thank you!!!!
Okay, got the kit in the mail this morning. Installed it and my trigger went from high 6 to 4.5 consistent. This kit is a godsend and I highly recommend it, along with a monarch trigger and polishing the seer to everyone. Thank you Mcarbo!!!
Final followup. I actually went out and put a few hundred rounds through it. Night and day. It's about as good as a striker fired trigger experience can be. I am not sure how this works, but my fingertip would get stung by the trigger somehow prior to putting in this kit. I have seen other people say the same about their Hellcats. That problem is gone and I am shooting with much improved accuracy and less anticipation. Great product Mcarbo!
I appreciate the hell out of this video. I'm not very well versed in handgun internals outside of your basic field stripping to clean and lube, so taking this kit on by myself was a bit scary. But this video was EXACTLY what I needed. Easy to follow along, I learned a ton more about my pistol parts and how they interact with each other, and feel 100 times more confident in my skills repairing or modifying my hellcat. The spring kit is fantastic and I noticed an immediate improvement. Thanks!
Great video, just installed the kit. Good lighting makes a huge difference as the times I struggled were mainly due to lack of the same visualization demonstrated on this video. Easy peasy.
I just bought the upgraded Stainless Steel Sleeve for the Hellcat Pro. This video as others have commented is the best I have ever seen on how to install the product. Great tips on the polishing areas is a bonus. Much appreciated.
Just finished installing this kit and got say it's a night and day difference. I have not even broken it in yet. Actually not even fired one round but damn I can say my calibrated finger can tell the difference and now I'm excited to take it to the range.
Put one of these kits in a few weeks ago in my Pro. Good quality parts from initial observation.(Exception being I got the complete titanium striker assy.) Great detailed installation video BTW. Took maybe 15 minutes. Very simple. Makes all the difference in the world in how this gun shoots. THIS is what should have been done by the manufacturer. I highly recommend this kit to every HellCat/ HellCat Pro owner. My buddy with a 365 liked thecway it felt so much, he got an MCarbo kit for his.
Just got this kit today, installed it and felt the difference in the pull. Still need to go to the range with it, but I foresee appreciating the kit right away.
Just installed my spring kit by following the video. I’ve done a bunch of spring replacements in my other handguns and this was by far the easiest. My Hellcat was broken in before the change and my five pull average was reduced from 5lbs 6oz to 3lbs 4oz.
Just finished installing this trigger and it is so much better. My factory trigger was around 7.25 lbs and before polishing it felt pretty gritty. It now is around 5 lbs and smooth with great reset. The video was very helpful and the whole process took about 1 1/2 hours. Thanks guys it is a great product and very good price. *****
I just followed the video and finished installing my springs, sleeve and the Monarch Trigger. The whole process went very well. This video was an amazing help. I polished all my spots. I’m looking forward to my next range visit.
Man this was such a helpful and detailed video. I really appreciate you taking the time to go through the parts and showing where things go and providing pointers along the way. Thanks
As a serious student, I must say this instructional material was presented by a talented teacher, whereby few possess such abilities and exercise his or her god given gifts, and thus, I sincerely appreciate your efforts and labor.
Awesome video! The instructions and explanations were very clear, and you showed exactly what to do. Thank you for the clarity and for making the trigger pull so much better. And yes, please make a new trigger (red, metal, etc.) :)
I appreciate this video so much! I had never taken my hellcat completely apart and started doing it watching another video. After learning some lessons the hard way found this video and the rest was a breeze. Thank you so much for the extreme amount of deal.
Awesome! Glad to hear the excellent results on the CPX-2. We’re releasing a CPX-2 Aluminum Flat Trigger and Extra Power Recoil Spring/SS Captured Guide Rod Assembly this week.
Just finished my Hellcat Trigger Spring Kit and Stainless Steel Striker install. Thanks for a great video and super details. It made the job so easy. I’m ready to that upgraded trigger and I notice it’s listed on your website. I also signed up for a notification when available.
Loving my XL. Father owns the Hellcat. Got him a stainless steel striker sleeve. Here to learn how to install the before mentioned... Thus, I thank you for the tutorial.
I just finished this project parts/springs install and also put in a new Powder River trigger. All went well thanks to this video. Can't wait to take it to the range. Many thanks to MCARBO!
Installed the replacement trigger kit about a month ago. Amazingly good video!!! I'm a neophyte to guns and I completed it in about an hour. This trigger kit makes shooting the Hellcat MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE and accurate. A few suggestions. At 6:10 there is a list of tools. Make sure you watch that first. I did not have a bench block. It's sold at MCarbo for $9. I suggest buying one. By far the most difficult part is the sear spring installation. DO NOT RUSH THROUGH THIS. The spring is very easily bent. There is also a small retention clip that I almost lost. It's not mentioned until 34:41. Mine fell out, I had no idea what is was until I got to this point in the video. Fortunately, I had not lost it. It's very small. Again, overall, one of the best instructional videos I have ever seen. Video images are unbelievably helpful. I loved the way they had the parts arranged during the video to show the different parts and the order of reassembly. Great job MCarbo!! Next, I'll be purchasing the upgraded trigger for my Hellcat.
I did my sear spring a bit different. I set it on the pin, set the pin in place then moved the sear into place and set the bar in place. Was much easier than hassling with pulling the spring into place. Initial feel is much better and Mantis is giving me a slightly higher score. Now off to the range for the real test.
Don't buy hellcat, get the Sigp365X and you will hit bulls eyes right out of box without any modifications.Hellcat has been a major disappointment when it comes to accuracy and that damn 7 pound trigger.
ordered. As a "Fudd" who has put 50K rounds through my 9mm 1911 and is transitioning to striker fire, I will do ANYTHING to improve the trigger on this damn thing. I don't know how long it will take me to get used to all the creep inherent to striker fired pistols, the clean brake of my 1911 cannot be beat.
You really put out great how to videos. About the new triggers, I had to shave the bottom and sides of my trigger because it was pinching my finger meat on the reset. OK now but if you make a new trigger leave some room between the bottom of trigger to the trigger guard.
Great video! I did SUB2000 “full Monte” kit and love it. I’d like to do this kit for my Hellcat but, I’d like to have a Mcarbo trigger so looks like I’m going to have to be patient and wait.
Awesome video, awesome product. Made the install along with your new trigger this afternoon. I'd say it's easy thanks to your instruction but it does take some patience and a time out or two to vent any frustration. I also polished the parts you suggested. I finally found it much easier to install the sear spring to the pin before connecting the trigger bar to the sear. I'm getting low 4 pounds on my crude little Wheeler gauge but more importantly it's an extremely smooth pull to a solid wall, a crisp break and a much improved reset. Can't wait to get to the range. Really love this gun.
Amazing Video... You have no Idea how many different times this video has helped me. Thought I would say something after watching it for the 7th time .
just put one in guys and i love it but you def need to make a trigger for this one than it will all be perfect . i did a little polishing also and yes mine is a brand new gun shot one mag thru it . definate improvement thanks guys
IMO it would be easier if you put in first the spring on the sear pin with sear just free dangling, so the spring is not under tension. It's easier to pull under tension the seer later, when installing in it's place, with the trigger bar. More leverage. Just ordered the kit.
My striker sleeve broke so I bought this kit just for the stainless sleeve and it’s a really well made part…… I’m sure I’ll end up putting the springs in at some point just haven’t gotten around to tearing into it yet
Great video, your patience in explaining everything in such detail is exemplary, as soon as you make that trigger out of anodized aluminum I will buy your kit so I can do everything at once :-)
Wow... average 33% reduction in the trigger pull is amazing. I saw at the initial pull it measured 3 lbs. That's pretty light but then it went to 4 to 4.7 lbs. Nice‼️
bro this firing pin spring retainer is an abomination, how the hell did they think this was a good idea. thank you for making a suitable replacement for that pos piece of plastic
Please make a video about your trigger shoe for Hellcat and how to set up the pre travel....that would be great. Also does this all gonna work on the Hellcat Pro? Thank you
just installed it, very simple expecially if your use to glocks, not much different besides the seer. thanks again! very hard to go from a 3.5lb glock trigger to a 7lb stock hellcat I appreciate this!!
I would like to polish the extractor, take down lever , slide lock, mag release and the frame pins both sides For looks do you think it would be a problem? I tried to talk to them to see if the parts were SS but they couldn't tell me what material they were made of . Still thinking about it. Wanted your opinion. THANKS
And this is the only reason I'm not doing this upgrade. Any type of trigger work is a field day for lawyers. I too wish Springfield would fix plastic part. I'd honestly just buy the plastic part replacement and the rest of the pistol alone.
So I watched the Video and was impressed but still a bit confused. My question is, Can I take my brand new Hellcat rdp and install this $59 spring kit and expect to get similar results ? I dont need to purchase other parts etc? Thank you.
I just picked up the CA compliant Hellcat Pro a few weeks ago. I installed the M*Carbo striker assembly and trigger safety spring but didn't install the sear spring yet. For me those two items take the trigger pull from 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 lbs down to 5 or 5 1/2 lbs which is great. The problem I have is that the stock trigger safety and trigger does not completely reset all the way back out when I hold the trigger down and rack the slide, then let the trigger go. If I pull the slide off the gun I can manually move the trigger arm in the gun body and it resets the trigger and safety all the way out. If I put the stock striker assembly back in, the trigger safety and trigger resets fully with no problem. So Just wanted to know if anyone else had a problem with the the trigger resetting back out to the full position after installing the M*Carbo striker assembly.
I'm interested in your kit. I also want to upgrade to a Hyvve Monarch trigger; mainly to move the trigger rearward in the trigger guard compared to the original trigger. I have short fingers, and I always have to rotate my hand on the grip to achieve any kind of decent reach to the trigger. This makes me susceptible to pushing sideways on the trigger and causing the trigger hangup on the Hellcat and many other striker handguns with trigger safeties. The Apex trigger kit is rated highly, and it moves the trigger back about 1/8 inch; not as much as the Monarch. It does not address the striker sleeve improvements. Will your spring kit work with the Monarch trigger? I'd love to get your stainless striker sleeve, a lighter trigger pull, and a shorter reach to the trigger.
Hey did you guys end up installing the spring kit with the monarch trigger ? I want to upgrade my springs but have the monarch trigger in mine and I wonder if I HAVE to get the mcarbo trigger with the spring kit , thanks
I love Mcarbo components and kits. You guys do a great job. I've been a master gunsmith/police armorer for 30 years, and since Mcarbo hit the scene it's been my go to kit when possible. The 25 million dollar question...do you make any kits for the CZ 2075 Rami?
They do, it's the same kit for any cz 75, although I'd highly recommend getting mcarbo spring kit then going to Cajun Gun Works for the rest of the parts. It will make your rami an incredibly accurate fun pistol to shoot and for ccw.
@@unknownunknown3025 thanks! I really appreciate that info. There are so many aftermarket suppliers now it's hard to wade through them. I remember when there were maybe five... 🤗
@@preacherF-15 np, you'll have no problems with install either being an armorer. Is your rami the bd decocker model or b safety? I carried my 75 d pcr for 7 years before the hellcat, did all the installs myself. The sear cage can be a little tricky on the decocker but wasn't awful. Did everything in about 2 hours, mcarbo kit and Cajun Gun Works short reset, reach reduction, and comp hammer. The pistol feels like a $3000 dollar pistol now. Up there with the staccato c2 but 1/5th the price even with upgrades. It really is a great ccw pistol that can do everything.
@@unknownunknown3025 no, I prefer the safety version- i grew up carrying cocked and locked and it's just my preference now. Ive done an old school trigger job and cut the DA in half, lowered the SA to right at 4 lbs, where i like it.
I Bought both the Mcarbo, and Apex trigger kits, both are exellent. Some people dog the Apex kit because the safety shoe is polymer, but it rests against the polymer frame, so I think wear will be minimized. The Apex sear spring, in my opinion, is the best design, and it is definitely a lighter weight than the Mcarbo piece. The striker springs in both kits are comparable, either will do. The Mcarbo SS striker sleeve is the best part of their kit, and makes it worth buying, particularly for use with a SS aftermarket striker. Mcarbo gives you a reduced power striker safety spring, the Apex kit does not. I like the idea of both combined, along with billet SS striker safety, sear, and disconnector. Stock Hellcat internals don't seem to be high quality metal. I noticed this when my striker broke in half. Still love the Hellcat, I just think it needs some love, and I'm glad companies like Mcarbo are making decent parts for them.
@@clutchcargo1239 so I have an apex trigger with the apex striker spring, can I get this SS sleeve and still use the striker spring that came with my apex trigger?
SUGGESTION! at approximately 30 min, attaching the sear spring, I have a much better way! Take some dental floss, loop it through the distal end of the sear spring, pull the spring back (extend), and easily insert the pin through the loop of the spring. Pull out the floss/string. TRY IT and you will love it!
@@everyone_knows_itsbutterst7808 I have an apex trigger, it comes with its own striker pin spring, If I got a stainless steel striker sleeve would I really have to change the spring? Would it affect the performance of the apex trigger?

Please make a video about your trigger shoe for Hellcat and how to set up the pre travel....that would be great. Also does this all gonna work on the Hellcat Pro? Thank you
Yes! I’ve seen the guys at MCarbo testing and verifying it.
just installed it, very simple expecially if your use to glocks, not much different besides the seer. thanks again! very hard to go from a 3.5lb glock trigger to a 7lb stock hellcat I appreciate this!!
Thanks for such a detailed video explaining everything in depth. For comparison sake, how’s this spring kit compared to Apex Hellcat kit?
Awesome video. Very educational
thanks for this
I would like to polish the extractor, take down lever , slide lock, mag release and the frame pins both sides For looks do you think it would be a problem? I tried to talk to them to see if the parts were SS but they couldn't tell me what material they were made of . Still thinking about it. Wanted your opinion. THANKS
Clear and concise as usual, thanks Chris. Can I assume these components will fit the Pro as well?
Wish springfield sold hellcat our of factory like this. To prevent this being used against you in court
And this is the only reason I'm not doing this upgrade. Any type of trigger work is a field day for lawyers. I too wish Springfield would fix plastic part. I'd honestly just buy the plastic part replacement and the rest of the pistol alone.
Can we get a updated video with hellcat pro and aluminum trigger?
I’ve contacted them and they have already filmed it and is being edited right now. It will be posted on their website next week.
So I watched the Video and was impressed but still a bit confused. My question is, Can I take my brand new Hellcat rdp and install this $59 spring kit and expect to get similar results ? I dont need to purchase other parts etc? Thank you.
So its cheaper than the Apex tactical AND comes with upgraded striker sleeve? Im sold😃
Ordered the SS sleeve / spring kit. Now awaiting a trigger to give you more 💵
They’re available now, I love it! Check it out on the website
Always great videos. Sub2000 video was very helpful. Just got a Hellcat. Please make a trigger.
Triggers are available now! I love it
My take down lever removal for the 1st time was definitely not that easy, had to really pull it out of there almost like it was catching on something
My striker sleeve did indeed break
great video thx so much!
Great video but needs to include info on Hellcats equipped with manual safety.
I love my monarch trigger in the hellcat. I wonder with the combo of monarch and new spring kit would make it ever smoother
An improved trigger shoe would be a great thing, if it's not much more that an Apex kit. Thanks!
Mcarbo should make striker assimbly for Walther q4 sf
A stainless steel solid trigger with 2 1/2 lbs pressure should be a sweet spot ?
ok, how about trigger, trigger bar and better pins?
Life saver ❤
SUGGESTION! at approximately 30 min, attaching the sear spring, I have a much better way! Take some dental floss, loop it through the distal end of the sear spring, pull the spring back (extend), and easily insert the pin through the loop of the spring. Pull out the floss/string. TRY IT and you will love it!
Do you think it would benefit to make the little split spring retainer cups for striker sleeve from stainless as well?
Would you sell the stainless sleeve separately?
I have seen them for around $15-20 online.
I wish they would sell them separately.
Or sell them with a trigger upgrade like apex.
@@everyone_knows_itsbutterst7808 I have an apex trigger, it comes with its own striker pin spring, If I got a stainless steel striker sleeve would I really have to change the spring? Would it affect the performance of the apex trigger?
