Bajaj urged for a unified approach among the government, organizations, and OEMs to drive India's shift from petrol and diesel to clean fuel. Bajaj emphasized that by aligning efforts, India can set a global example in adopting sustainable energy solutions. His heartfelt appeal highlights the critical role of collaboration in advancing the country's clean fuel initiatives. Listen in to what Rajiv Bajaj said to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.

Rajiv Bajaj once said he will bet on BET (Bajaj, Enfield, TVS) and champions will eat OATS for breakfast. OATS is Ola, Ather, Tork and SmartE. Now Ola is way ahead in EV 2W sales and Ather is giving tough competition. He is an arrogant man and is now crying because the OATs are eating the champions.

because it is cleaner than petrol. Also India does not have any natural resources that can replace petrol. Lithium found in India is not yet mined, so most of the battery comes from China. We are decades away from using green hydrogen and that will be first used in trucks and buses.

Earlier fuel subsidy was there to promote consumption of automobile. Now, subsidy is there to promote consumption of Green automobile. How subsidy becomes unsustainable practice now when it was not an unsustainable practice during Bajaj Super, Chetak, Pulsar or Platina time.
PS: I am a consumer of Bajaj auto for decades, but this subsidy statement is wrong. CNG will have its own market, EV has its own. It would be more beneficial if Bajaj could invent a Hydrogen fuel engine.

Was originally an owner of an OSM three wheeler with a Log 9 Materials battery with a range of 80 kms per FAST CHARGE of 35 minutes. However, i had to compete with other electric cars and wait in Q to charge my vehicle during midnights.
Very insensitive and short-sighted of whoever manufactures electric vehicles without ensuring a proper infrastructure of "sustainable" charging solutions - viz a solar park which stores electricity in batteries and uses it to recharge electric vehicles rather than depending on the grid which may probably be carrying electricity generated from diesel generators!

The Bajaj electric three wheeler cargo vehicle with a per full charge range of 183 kms (real world WITH 800 kg payload and full speed usage range is 150 kms) can be a game-changer IF Rajeev Saahab makes it "hybrid" with an onboard CNG generator and a 10 kg CNG cylinder.
Private self employed logistics people can seamlessly use these electric 3 wheelers for 900 kms at ONE go!

Am in possession of a Bajaj Qute CNG Quadricycle car and i have already completed the warranty range of 40,000 kms without a hitch and am going on 60,000 kms. (Due for as all 4 tyre change!).
Am looking forward to the Bajaj TEAM to extend the range of their electric three wheeler by putting onboard a 10-kg CNG cylinder and the Qute 216 cc CNG engine to generate electricity to charge the TATA battery and extend its range and claim a "hybrid" status!

Bajaj has done a marvellous job by creating this bike which is a combination of Classic as well as Modern Bike, but rather CNG if they can create the same model with EV that would be game changer as now world is shifting to convenience as EV can be charged from home just like mobile phones eliminating the need to go to filling stations. So if Freedom can be also launched in EV version keeping the same specs plus removing the cylinder and keeping that as Helmet storage then this will be a game changer just like how Pulsar did it in its older times.
