here is a simple answer the Bible gives us...Jeremiah 10:1-2 1 Hear ye the word of the Lord that he speaketh unto you, O house of Israel. Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen....and also in Deuteronomy 12. God is a jealous God, he wants us to live holy lives and not learn from satan's world and its practices but from God and his kingdom, remember we are sojourners on this earth. If you need a way to de-stress and have peace I suggest reading the word, meditating on it, and doing what it says. If you have no peace that means there is sin in your life and you are not right with God. If you are doing it because a friend is dragging you to it then invite her to church instead so he or she can find true peace that can only be found through Jesus, our savior.

Well if Jesus Christ is the bread of life; then with this logic no one but Christians should be eating bread. Which seems pretty silly. I mean I see it like this even if every yoga position that existed was some kind of tribute to some god or spiritual practice or whatever else. Luckily his answer is No, but it's scary it would even come up. If the answer were yes, would we be allowed to walk around? Next topic: is yogurt sinful
Because the enemy deceives. Its not just an exercise... the contorted poses are created as an act of worship to their gods, who are demons. If you are ignorantly doing yoga without knowing this, then it may not be a sin issue but you are opening yourself up to the demonic. Many people get demon possessed this way and often is a gateway to the new age. Look up testimonies online, you'll be surprised

Thank you for this well thought out and to the point explanation for what yoga is and why as Christian we cant take it so lightly . I've always used the excuse of its just and exercise or I don't believe in their god so its no that deep but it is whether I believe or not someone does and for them its a spiritual practice !
So this is interesting. I LOVE yoga. My spine and body feel great. I feel strength when holding static stretches. Most of yoga practiced in America actually is non spiritual and you see a lot of controversy about it being appropriated. To me that really means they took the health aspect of it and moved away from the spiritual aspect. I did attend a yoga class in college in Eugene OR at a gym of all places and the instructor brought out a picture of a blue skinned deity. I was immediately turned off. I had been raised Christian but was not Christian at the time but even then I thought, ick. That doesn’t feel right. I never returned to that class. I think most of the modern American yoga classes do not put a spiritual lens on yoga but more of how it helps your body function. I think it boils down to discernment. If it feels wrong it probably is. If you feel healthy but as a Christian you can see it’s not conducive to another type of spirituality other than Jesus? Go for it. You’ll know. There is a difference and most American yoga is really complimenting the function of yoga on your physical health and not introducing you to another form of spirituality. It’s interesting that as a non Christian but one who was raised Christian I somehow felt that particular class and instructor were bad news. Hopefully if you have discernment you see the difference between a healing physical practice and a creepy spiritual one. Yoga healed my injured back. So proceed with caution but know MOST American studios are free from the spiritual aspects of yoga and maybe even criticized for it. But it makes it accessible to everyone.
That's honestly my feelings about. I did yoga for a while but a few months ago I started seeing this stuff about Christianity and yoga online and have stopped. I definitely have paid the price physically, but when I do yoga it is more of a meditation and not spiritual. I feel completely different from when I do yoga then when I'm at church or reading my Bible. I even read in some articles that the roots of yoga predates the Hindu religion.

Intolerance? Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6. Considering there is no subjective truth, there is only objective truth. I believe in Jesus and his word because of the freedom Jesus has personally given me and the relationship I have with Him. He confirms everything within our heart as we read his word and through miracles signs and wonders. We love people of other religions, but I think they are deceived in religions that keep them bound. We all want to know the truth, right? So test it... Ask the highest power to truly reveal himself to you and He will.

One thing to understand about "yoga". What we call Yoga is actually a YMCA exercise program that was adopted and modified from a Dane named Henrik Ling. This program was appropriated by Hindu nationalists and grafted onto what was then a system of meditation called "Yoga". Just cut out the pagan stuff and do the exercises. Call it what it is..Ling Calisthenics.
I dont disagree with his conclusions. But if you want to look closely at it, this is the problem with Sola Scriptura. He starts with the (true) view that "the bible does not condemn yoga." And this is right. But if he is truly a fundamentalist Christian, he should STOP RIGHT THERE. Since the Bible does not condemn it, therefore we cannot condemn it. THis is the fault with "sola sciptura." It claims to be Bible only, but it is not. EVERYTHING he says from that point on is HIS INTERPRETATION of scripture. I am not saying his interpretation is wrong (I agree with it), but from that point on, he is giving his take on scripture. This is exactly what the Catholic church has done for 2000 years, and what he is doing here. He is giving his understanding, going beyond the absolute litteral words of scripture. If he is truly going to be consistant with "sola scriptura", he has no basis for condemning yoga. Otherwise, he is delving into Catholic theology.

Folks have problems with this because they don’t believe the front of the book. Yoga/meditation is spiritual and was designed to worship false gods. Scripture tells us that we’re not to learn the way of the heathen/pagan and that we’re not to worship God the way they do. Jer 10, Deut 12 The only spirit we’re to use for worship or spirituality is the Holy Spirit and the only way to God is through His Son, Yeshua/Jesus. Don’t believe me. Go to scripture. Look what happened to Aaron’s sons when they “offered unauthorized fire before Yahweh, contrary to his command” Lev 10. They were consumed by fire right before the altar for what they did, on the spot! The Creator has a say so in how He’s worshiped. Amen.
Hinduism, was not created it was formed by itself, and yoga is not a practice to worship god or demon ,yoga was created by kapil 2000 years ago (6th - 7th BCE) . (Yoga is indipendent practice no involvement of god) it was invented because Kapil wanted to understand about nature and reality and distinguish between purusha(consciousness or true self) and prakriti (nature) late evolved during 3000bce by Upanishads and patanjalis yog sutra

"My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge" says God. - Hosea 4: 6. Know that Yoga is the missionary arm of Hinduism with its 33 millions gods, who are fallen angels or impersonating spirits. They want worship and are in the employ of Satan. The physical yoga postures, (Hatha yoga) are: "The dancer pose" is linked to the god Shiva (god of destruction). He is also the Chief demon of yoga. "The warrior postures" are linked to the god Virabradha. "The half moon pose" is linked to Ganesha, the Elephent God. "The goddess pose" is linked to the female goddess Kali who is the goddess of destruction. The yoga Chakras (body energy centers) are also linked to certain deities. AND GUESS WHO IS THE GODDESS OF YOGA? KALI, THE GODDESS OF DESTRUCTION. Yoga meditation opens the mind up to demons, and the mantras they give you are the names of Hindu gods. Luckily I got out of it in time. To put it bluntly, Yoga is witchcraft repackaged. That is why I write so frankly about these things. "Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, no man cometh unto the Father but by Him." Buddhism is no better because Buddha was a Hindu. It denies the existence of the personal God - Elohim who created the Heavens & the earth. GOD SAID DO NOT EVEN MENTION OTHER GODS. These are Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu. Yoga is NOT demonic.
here is a simple answer the Bible gives us...Jeremiah 10:1-2 1 Hear ye the word of the Lord that he speaketh unto you, O house of Israel.
Unfortunately Christian religion inherited the Semitic creed of the ‘jealous God’ in the view of Christ as ‘the only begotten son of God’ so could not brook any rival near the throne. Hinduism at large does not contain that type of intolerance because doing so would convey possessiveness over the divine not reverence to it.
As far as the Bible is concerned, the Bible condones slavery Leviticus 25:44-46.
One has to ask if Jesus was without sin and jealousy is sin therefore God is without jealousy and Jeremiah 10:1-2 is no longer holds true.

Because the enemy deceives. Its not just an exercise... the contorted poses are created as an act of worship to their gods, who are demons. If you are ignorantly doing yoga without knowing this, then it may not be a sin issue but you are opening yourself up to the demonic.
@@mattTHEEgreatdon’t let online hype steer you from what is right with you. It’s all about your personal relationship to God.

The only spirit we’re to use for worship or spirituality is the Holy Spirit and the only way to God is through His Son, Yeshua/Jesus.
Amen.
