    Just a FYI on GoPro remote for Hero 9. I had one for just over a year the rechargeable battery expanded so much it blew the back off the GoPro Remote. I used the remote about ten times. One good thing it didn’t catch fire. GoPro would not do anything even though the battery to me was a safety issue.

      @Tech4Baba  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry to hear about that. That's certainly a safety issue! Thanks for watching and sharing, Fred! Did you replaced it with a 3rd party remote?

    Why couldn't Gopro's miracle engineers make the type-c sealed? This is the failure of an extreme accessory

    I wish you would have answered this question... Does the YOCTOP wake up the camera when you power it on? The Insta360 wakes up the camera when you start it. I film police and fire ride alongs. When possible I use POV cameras. Its' easy with Fire rides. I have 15-20 seconds to hit record on the external cameras, then jump on the truck. While riding around in a patrol car I can't ask the officer to stop, let me out and turn on one to three cameras and get back in. Do you know, before I buy.

    i ve bought a Yoctop for less than 1/5 price of this gopro remote, ARMTE-003 is ridiculously expensive. damn it even has a wifi connectivity feature to allow firmware upgrades, now it supports hero12.
    yoctop's battery life is only 3,5h (435mah) though, had to upgrade the battery to 900mah, spent another 3$...

    If I trigger two GoPro Hero 9, will they start/stop recording at the exact same time with perfect sync with The Remote? Do the video streams match frame by frame?

    Why u need a backlit screen when the camera is not a night vision. Who is recording at night??

    • @igorvalentovitch7401
      @igorvalentovitch7401 ปีที่แล้ว

      many people like myself shoot the night sky. You need to adjust camera settings in the dark when transitioning from night sky shooting to sunrise shooting. In such situations, the backlit screen is an advantage. Plus, backlit is easier to read in shadow areas. Great video - thanks!

    Thanks for the informative video ! I was wandering , after pairing the remote and turn the camera OFF using the remote, can you turn it ON again with the remote or do you have to do it manually through the camera itself before use the remote again ? Maybe you have to pair the remote everytime ? Hope its clear ahah Thanks !

    • @GeorgeMonaghan
      @GeorgeMonaghan 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It will turn on the cameras for up to a period of eight hours - official. Unofficially it lasted a couple of days. There is a problem with the GoPro 12 where it drops the connection if you switch it off using the remote. It will not reconnect automatically and has to be done manually again. GoPro techs are working on the issue. The remote will not work at the same time as the "Quik" mobile app so it is either one or the other. Work around for the 12 when using multiple cameras is to use the app for that alone and the remote for the cameras or of course do not switch it off. I use a power bank and leave it switched on when working. Hope that helps.

    I just bought the real GoPro Hero 10 remote. My mindset is that If I'm buying something once, I'll buy the real one. The knock offs might seem like good savings up front but there is a reason why they are 1/2 price. Most of the time there is a catch. I've been to China and seen the knock offs of every brand name on the planet and the quality almost always suffers. The knock offs over time are also cost reduced. Not good.

      Bought one, got the other the next day as a gift. After using both. I prefer the YocTop. Only negative is the special charging cable - but there recharge connection is totally waterproof, unlike a leaky rubber cover over the USB port of the GoPro remote.
