    Appreciate you showing the 48oz container. The 48oz is item 56085 for those interested. The 64oz doesn't fit under our cabinets, but the 48oz container is good for everyday use and fits.

    I purchased my 5200 in 2009. I thought I was crazy for purchasing such an expensive machine but after having it for thirteen years with no problems, it was the best investment in a kitchen appliance that I made. The newer models out now are nice with pre-sets but they are a drag. I actually prefer the 5200 using the flip switches and speed dial for complete manual control of my blends. Great video thank you for posting.

    Came to see if my 5200 was making the right sound when I turned it on. Six minutes in, you turn yours on but drown it out with generic background music. So darn helpful.

    Your 5200 is practically new compared to our 1969, 2200. again it is virtually every day and has met the test of time and still working.

    I have the pro 750. And I just bought a 5200 used for a family member. They both blend well, just the 750 is "cuter" with presets that i never use. I always use the variable speed. The end product is similar, difference is in price and looks.

    Yes. I can attest to the longevity. I had mine about 9 years. Only thing was socket just needed replacing - minor and normal. I wanted a smaller footprint with the pulse feature and preferred a legacy model (just a preference) so just replaced with a refurbished 5300. 💚💛🧡 Vitamix

    I like the simplicity of the controls on the 5200. I hate the electronic controls of the newer Vitamix models and of the Blendtecs. Just more unnecessary complexity and more stuff to break. I'm still using a 5100 that I bought in the last century.

    It will be a truly sad day for America if Vitamix ever stops making the 5200 Legacy. Not counting on that ever happening but if it did, then did I'd have to buy one of the last ones off the production line even though I don't need one. I'd just keep it as a backup in storage, in the event my 20 year old 5200 were to somehow become unfixable. That machine is so tough, I'm convinced it will outlast ME. And it's just way easier and more straightforward to use than all their new models with programmed timers and digital gimmicks. The 5200 is the best investment you can make after real estate and a diversified stock portfolio. 😄

      Yes, the 5200 and Pro 750 have similar blending qualities and outcomes. They're the two best Vitamixes, imo. I've used the fancier A3500 and didn't like the blending outcome compared to those two giants. Yes, I hope they never stop making the 5200. Many people still buy them, especially restaurants, so it would be a mistake if they stop. Plus, as one of their top blenders, alongside the Pro 750, the company wouldn't be the same without it.

  • @Malady_Snow

    I’m just now starting to look into vitamix. So I’m doing lots of research to figure out which is best for my lifestyle. So far I came to the conclusion that I would like one that comes with the tall 64oz container, In stead of the low profile container for the fact that the tall 64oz could still make single serving amount. And have a much less minimum fill capacity than the low profile due to a much narrow base. But I still like the idea of being able to make a lot if wanted too.
    Now that I figure that out it’s the matter if I want a vitamix that comes with the added preset programs or not.
    Also. Again I’m new to this but your 5200 blender looks a lot like the e310 blender? Or is that just me?

    I just bought 5200 blender to blend green juice. The blender and the green juice turn quite warm when blended for about 1-2 min around speed 7. I don’t like hot liquid since this is plastic jar, disregard it said bpa free. I have enough liquid in there since it blends pretty smooth. Is that normal? Are all vitamix will turn hot?

    • @HeavenlyInspirations
      @HeavenlyInspirations 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should always blend on high speed! Vitamixes are designed for that. It helps to keep the motor cool. You will burn out the motor faster blending on low speed.

    • @realkitchenreviews2630
      @realkitchenreviews2630 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vitamix advises to blend on high speed for most situations. If you blend on high speed, you’ll need less time than blending on speed 7 which will not heat up your liquids as much. I’m putting together an in-depth review of the vitamix 5200 and it should be live this week.

    can the E 310 model work well with the jug of 5200? or is it not recommended?

      @@QuantumMind88 it’s 4 months later so I’m sure you know by now, but a smoothie in a vitamix pretty much always takes around 60 seconds total time to blend. It’s hard to really understand how loud something is without it being in your own home, but every high powered blender is loud - the vitamix is actually not as loud as most others on their highest setting (and it has a lot more power than others). Another video which I wouldn’t be able to find now showed a Binja blender and another all about 10 decibels louder than the vitamix. Still, all super loud.
