Marshall JTM and EHX MIG-50: You used pedals for dirty sounds and didn't crank the amps to hear how they sound overdriven. Drive pedals can be used with any decent clean amp. You could use a boost like a TS-9 with Drive at min and Level maxed.
it was a difficult decision for me to choose between trying out the new blackstar stage head the boss katana artist but the boss just unbietable for what you get not just for the affordable price and the older blackstar stuff was nothing but disappointing for me so i can highly recommend the boss katana for 2023. but get the head, the speakers of the combo amps are not too great at all imo.cheers 🎸🎸
@@BigLenny. yes! 😂😂..i send the big series one 200 head to tonehunters back then and not even ralf reichen himself was able to make it sound decent and get of it it so i got my money back. his comment on this amp was "this amp is so shitty to work on and and has so many design flaws that its just a waste of money "
I would expect the best amps to inspire a player with a rich, full, roaring, lively, warm yet cutting distortion tone. The one we have in our minds from our favourite records (though I know about the pre and post processing and everything). What I hear in this clip is nowhere near. So take this or dream on or what is it in 2023?
I bought REVV D25 a month ago. It sounds great as a clean, it can be 100% bedroom lvl even on 25w for some reason, there is no hsss, and it looks the best. I return it though. For me, it sounds not great with pedals for some reason. It feels like pedals sounds like parallel mix with amp sounds, very thin. Even on this video I hear the same. Probably because D25 too clean. I also didn't like FX loop, it was noisy for me. Maybe I will get a G25 one day, just because there is more pleasant drive sounds. Great review though.
Do you think it is relevant to keep this (or any) Modeling amp several years or it would be better to change more frequently because of new technologies? I am still afraid to keep mine too many years then Boss stops updating software, etc. and the amp become too old to be used, on the contrary it is like Tube amp never get old with pedals.
@@thymick5581 To me, it's about the sound/s you get out of the amp. It doesn't matter about new technologies if you are still happy with the sound of the Katana Artist. Personally I don't bother updating the software anyway.

I bought the Marshall JTM45 Studio and I love that thing to death. I am thinking of picking up the Revv D25 as a backup!
The clean tones in that Marshall were so good.

its not just a guess that you are talking about the blackstar trademark high end fizz, noise and feedback? 😂

EH really caught my attention. It’s plenty loud. Great demo you two; Kris and Guilluame, you guys rock.
Thanks a ton buddy. Yeah that thing is a beast, in all the right ways, haha! I love it. //Kris
If I´m not wrong, the EH Mig50 was released in 2021
I hope you will choose rig each out of theese.
I've had the Katana Artist for several months now and just love it. The Waza speaker is nice.

The Marshall at least has that "rich, full, roaring, lively, warm yet cutting distortion tone" (I have it). If cranked, and they didn't ...
Hey Fender! When are you going to make a Shell Pink stratocaster model signed "Guillaume"?
Oh my brother G would definitely deserve it. 🥳 Thanks for watching! //Kris
@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses He deserves it, but they don't know it yet!

Crank that Mig-50!
Is it an optical illusion or are Guillaume’s strings on that Strat really thick? Looks like he has Bass VI strings on that thing.
Which cab would you recommend for the Blackstar Amped 2? It has 100w power but it is not easy to find 100w 1x12 cab . Cheers.
I woke up this morning! That makes me fizzy 😂
'm thinking of getting an Artis my only concern is can it be used as a practise amp in a home environment ? IE: not annoy the neighbours .
Boss Katana Artist MkII forever! You even can make this amp sounds like a Marshall!

What about the BluGuitar amps?
Marshall is my favorite amp
J'aurais quand-même bien aimé un Koch Jupiter 45, là au milieu, dans les pattes de Guillaume et de Chris 😛
what cabs were used for the separate heads like the EH and that Amped red thing?
I want to know that too. I’m surprised they didn’t show that!
D40! REVV Rules!!!!🤘🏽
The last two are my favorites of this list.
Hey Poo, yeah the D40 is finally released. Can't wait to put my hands on it. Obviously, haha! Cheers buddy //Kris
I mention it only because you say the Blackstar is the best „footstomp amp“.
Marshall best by a long shot
Bring back the Gorilla Amp!
Crank the EH 😂
Vox-AC30C2X el mejor.
