How you found a dry day recently is a miracle

I went to Falkirk College (recently demolished) between September 1997 and May (or June) 2000 and, as a poor student, I got this bus practically every week day for three years. Watching this video has made the memories all come flooding back. It's amazing to see just how much of the route looks the same as I remember it and how much I just don't recognise anymore - mostly the housing developments in Larbert and Plean. Thank you for the walk (bus ride) down memory lane.

I found this video by chance and am so glad I did. I've sat back and wallowed in nostalgia, as my parents and respective families came from Stirling. My Mother's family lived in Torbrex just up the road from St Ninians, and I have so many happy memories growing up as a child there and also in the wider Stirling area.
As for the route, well, it's over 50 years since I last travelled on it! as I moved away from Scotland upon leaving School. It has changed a wee bit in places, though parts of the route through Larbert, and then through the Stirling suburbs such as St Ninians are still as I recall them. These parts are still the same!
I'm well aware of the new ownership of what is now MIdland, by the McGill Group, and am so pleased to have seen the Midland Bluebird livery reappear. As a footnote too, relatives in my Mother's family held senior roles in the manufacturing side of Alexanders Bus Builders in post WW2 years.
Plus my Mother was PA (as defined in today's terminology) for a few years to Walter Alexander himself!
I'm really looking forward to the other videos available and look back on where I grew up.

Being from Oregon, USA, as well as of Scottish ancestry, this feels so exotic yet familiar to look at

Weird how you passing the Town Hall 1;14 already makes this clip recent history.
