I’m not a business expert but if they stuck to good core products and less cheap, careless collabs I think they would have a better reputation. Their core products are amazing, but the repetitive collabs and eyeshadow are really tired
Totally agree! Most of my daily routine is core Colourpop products and I would be devastated if something happened to them! The collabs and such I couldn't really care less about.
Most collabs have just felt like a total cash grab lately. Not just with colourpop but so many brands. Like, I love Sailor Moon but i don't need a million different brands making a collab (makeup, clothes, handbags) 😂 just give me your basics in a good formula and I'll take it
I only have one of their products. A burgundy stick eyeshadow and it’s great. I’ve wanted to try some more of their products but want to know what’s great
They were actually very proud when they called themselves the fast fashion of makeup. I remember it was one of their older videos back when they were poppin
Colourpop just doesn't pay attention to their customers or the economy. They throw out new launches every week when the average person cannot afford a new pallette a week. And instead of focusing on their really good products, they never bring them back forcing us to move on to different brands who are more reliable.
Yup they had my all time fav Lux Gloss they quit making the shade, so I found another shade in the line now it seems they won’t be making the Lux Gloss anymore
Yes! I loved their ultra matte lipsticks and they just stopped making my favorite colors. After lots of wasted money I found decent replacements from limecrime 🥴
@@notbothered7510 yeah, I had eyeshadow and blush that I ran out of and never repurchased because they stopped making them. Why fall in love with an everyday product just to have it discontinued?
They have discontinued everything I like and stuff that sells out that I want never gets restocked. They're so inconsistent you can't trust something you like to stick around. I've moved on
Nobody likes a discontinuation of a good cosmetic/product they repurchase over and over. That irks me so bad I'll avoid a whole brand if i can 😂 for real though.
My problem with the brand is they refuse to listen to customers that just want them to restock their supposed core products. It's just collab after collab and those products are not as good as their core items.
"...they just keep doing shit. And youre just like..stop doing shit.stop acting like this? Why are you acting like this?" Need this sewn on a pillow as a 'life quote'
I was introduced to Colourpop by Jackie Aina, as back in 2014 or so it was difficult to find vibrant eyeshadows that showed up well on deeper skin tones. They became one of my go to brands but over time, they seemed to forget about those of us with deeper skin tones. The last flattering palette I bought from them was the Raw Beauty Krist collab. I have been disappointed in everything I have tried after that, and eventually just stopped buying anything from them.
You are 100% right. This is the downfall of many brands--over-saturation of mediocre stuff, instead of putting out more quality things less often. Releasing stuff all the time dilutes a brand's value and it all becomes like white noise.
I don't even pay attention to Colourpop anymore. I've decluttered a majority of the stuff I used to own from them and even if I'm mildly interested in a collection I'll tend to skip it. Even if I regret skipping it I know they'll release something similar again down the line and the quality will never be what I want it to be. I think I just like indie too much now. I do like their super shocks, but I find that their super shocks are generally just another form of the more poppy indie shadows I love and I don't reach for single shadows from a pot so much. I remember one time the CEO said he was proud that they were like fast fashion for makeup. But how often do we talk about how much shein sucks for exactly that reason?
@@hallievanoutryve3109 Laura Nelson (one of the founders) said, "It's all about applying the fast fashion model to beauty" when asked about the frequency of their launches. It's in a few articles as they're quite proud of it.
The Sailor Moon collections are extra disappointing due to how difficult it is to get the licensing for it! I work at Hot Topic in canada and we have the license for it. Demand is always very high and supply is always very low. There are also very strict rules about the use of that license. We are not allowed to post any Sailor Moon product on our store Instagram pages, we can't even mention it or include it in hashtags. The only way we can post it is if the main Hot Topic Instagram page shares something, and even then we must copy the post exactly. Break these rules and the company could lose the license. So for a smaller company to get the licensing deal is huge, and this is what they did with it!
Super interesting - I LOVE Hot Topic - thank you so much for sharing. Do you think that means that Sailor Moon signed off on the colours/products Colour Pop released, or do you reckon they didn't have a say in the colour stories? 🤔 It'd be funny if those were the colours Colour Pop *had* to go with but they're the ones getting all the flack for the releases 😂
I use ColourPop; however, I've never once purchased on of their collabs. They need to stick with what they do best - affordable makeup with a standard rotation of pallettes and quarterly new releases.
I haven't bought too much of their stuff however I've only liked 3 or 4 collabs from them being the 2 sailor moon ones and the animal crossing collab and the summer hello kitty collection. Everything else has looked rather meh
the sailor moon collab had to be one of the biggest fumbles ive ever seen from a makeup brand. it felt very “we can slap whatever colors we want in here and you’ll still buy it” i think the last time i bought from them was the animal crossing collab and it was a small group order with friends. i threw away everything colourpop i had like last year and don’t incorporate any of it in my routines. not on purpose its just nothing from them stands out to me anymore .
I don't know anything about Sailor Moon but everyone who got it in PR or bought it themselves were completely disappointed. I've purchased 4 products from them. 2 SS, a lip oil and their SO Juicy lip product. I only bought the last one because none of the Ulta's around me have the lip oils stocked anymore. I just figured they decided to do away with them however I did find a few shades at Target. I'm on my 2nd one. As for those SS. I don't like them. The amount of fallout is insane and I can't get the glitter off. The 2 I purchased also didn't feel anything like they're described. Mine were both dry as a desert. I didn't even buy them at the same time (about a month apart) or at the same Ulta's. I have shimmers from Essence that don't do anything close to what those SS did. I'll continue to buy the lip oils so long as I can find them in store but other than that I'm good with not throwing my money towards them... lol
I had no problems with the collection it worked quite fine for me people are forgetting that not everything is going to work on everyone what works for me may not work for you it's that simple
@THEECLECTICHIPPYWITCH I loved the novelty of it all. I liked the blush. I feel like the really screwed up with the lips. I wish they did lipoils or lipsticks for the 5 main Sailor Scouts.
The Flexitarian super shock highlighter is a staple in my collection. They definitely need to keep restocking products that their customers tend to use on a daily basis.
I feel conflicted because I love Colour Pop, but their quality has decreased with some products. I used to love it more. As I bought more over the years, I have received damaged palettes, eye liners with no liner inside them (just an empty case), & their lip glosses are too sticky. It makes me sad 😢 on the other hand, their eye shadows are very nice, pigmented, easy to apply. I love some of their lip products. I also have tried one of the Ray Beauty self tanner body lotions, and that looked very natural & was easy to use. I definitely wish they would slow down with the launches.
When I got their foundation once, the wand broke off inside the bottle not even a quarter through...I was pretty sad to say the least after that same shipment had a pallet busted up bad. Ive also had the same issue with their glosses :((
I've had shadows pop right off two palettes and shatter less than a month after buying them. (Rose Crush, Wild Child). I compare it to an older palette I have (the Yes Please palette from 2017) and it's still going strong to this day. Quality in packaging has definitely gone downhill.
@@benamisai-kham5892 that happened to me with a lipgloss! I had been using one of their lipglosses for a few months & then the wand broke off inside the bottle ): Even tho their lip glosses are sticky, I had really liked that color on me.
Can you list some of your staples for me please? I would really appreciate it because ive been wasting money trying to find a good highlighter or foundation/blush/contour. I'm fair skinned with an oliveundertone but in cool toned
That must’ve been awful!!!! I actually can’t imagine how bad customer service would have to be for one interaction to stop me shopping from one of my favourite brands!
@@EmL-kg5gn I wrote it out in more detail in a separate comment, but essentially I bought some extras for my stash when there was a sale. A few months later I opened up a lippie with a broken applicator, and I asked if there was a hygienic way to get the broken doefoot out of the tube, and both the customer service representative and her supervisor were incredibly rude. I didn't ask for a refund or any compensation, I just wanted a suggestion. Never again.
@@EmL-kg5gn they sent a package, ONE eyeshadow was broken which of course covered EVERYTHING else in it - I simply asked for a replacement or a refund ($4) to which I was offered credit off of a future purchase because I had received my order according to them 🤯😫 never ever again
lol!!! This video cracks me up cause I made a comment on another video about my ColourPop fatigue. Also the eyeshadow formulas seems to have declined a lot in quality.
I also love ColourPop, but they really do have too many releases with similar palettes. Their eyeshadow palettes are still a ‘go-to’ at this point for me. P.s…I too was SUPER disappointed with the Sailor Moon release. I expected so much more from those colors 😔. 🌸💖🌸
I have the exact same feelings about Colourpop. I love their products but absolutely became tired of them a little over a year ago when they were doing new releases weekly...I literally would buy a palette the day it came out and by the time it came in the mail it "old news". I think it's fairly obvious that their business strategy is to get people to buy far more than they normally would due to the great prices, constant releases, limited editions, and nostalgic/emotional marketing of collabs. I think I'm a fairly conscious consumer and I have to say they're the only beauty brand that truly made me overbuy for a while. I hope they're able to redirect their approach because what they're doing won't be sustainable long term.
Same! I would generally never spend as much as I did with Colourpop! It is absolutely the "oh I HAVE to have that" type attitude that teenagers have man! 🫣
@@sassidee8904 I totally get it! They really lean into the "FOMO" aspect of marketing and twist our brains into thinking if we don't get it *now* we never will be able to and will be missing out. I think most of us have become wise to this over time and it doesn't make the company look very good.
I loved Colourpop for years, but lately I feel like the magic is gone. Every new product feels like a rehash of something they’ve already done. I used to go to their website & want absolutely everything I saw, but I haven’t bought anything from them in awhile now. Instead, I’ve been much more interested in indie brands. I feel like, for me personally, it’s worth the extra money to get one or two really unique, high quality palettes instead of five or six mediocre ones. I just wish Colourpop would slow down on the launches & come up with something really fun again!
Exactly my thoughts. I went to their website every week and they had very unique products. But recently they have stopped making unique products. Just something to release but not even worthy to look at.
Yes! I have a few eyeshadow palletes from them that I love and use all the time (also i think their lip oils dont get enough credit, LOVE them). But I've also gotten a few that are just....meh. I think it's almost disrespectful to their consumers to be releasing so much so quickly, especially the collabs. Like you think we won't notice the lower standards? You think we won't notice that there seems to be a lack of love and dedication from the people designing these products? We can tell!
Colourpop is one of my favorite brands, I recommend it to beginners all the time because it’s a good balance of inexpensive and good quality. The thing I always say to beginners, though, is to stay away from the licensed products and stick with the basics. One of the few collections I really loved from colourpop was the Legend of Korra collection, I felt that it was done well. That collection actually prompted me to purchase a bunch of the other duochrome liquid eyeshadows, they are absolutely stunning.
Hello! Happy Monday!! 🖤 I love some of Colourpop's eyeshadows and their eyeliner 🖤🖤 But they release too much and need to focus on good launches instead of just releasing a bunch of stuff.
Their gel eyeliners are probably the best I’ve ever used - especially at the price point. I wish somewhere like Beauty Bay stocked some of their core products, which would make it so much quicker and easier to get hold of in the UK. However, they bring out way too many eyeshadow palettes in the same, repeated shades, effectively duping themselves! I’m not business-minded, but I truly believe that if they stuck to the key products that their customers know and love (and repeat purchase!) they would have a lot more credibility and avoid going down the whole Revolution-style “let’s bang out an entire ‘new’ collection of products every few days” and reduce the risk of boring/annoying customers, pushing them away, instead of enticing them! I wish these companies would just do what everyone knows they do well instead of being so grabby. 🖤
Honestly they just need to focus on quality. I can't say I've ever been blown away by color pop, I just don't reach for them. I think it's almost feeling overwhelmed by them. Also, I can't depend on anything because the product gets canceled Really quickly.
I was so overwhelmed with every new collection release, AND I lost my excitement for them because I knew the palettes would be lame neutrals either a pop of blue or hot pink. Big whoop. The Sailor Moon collection was CRIMINAL.
I'm part of the exhausted group of folks who enjoy Colourpop stuff but yet sick and tired of seeing limited collections after another for the umpteenth time.
I only started using Colourpop last year to about a year and a half ago due to falling in love with a couple palettes. "Good as Gold" and "Wild Child" palettes. I love their matte shimmers. I wish they would make a full palette of those with different colours and depths. I LOVE they're colour shifting chrome colours ex: "Fractal" from the It's a Mood palette. I also definitely feel very limited with products from colourpop because I don't feel like they are truly dark skin concious nor do they care to be. There are shade collection is shit, they do not care about and frankly there is not good representation of looks or products with dark-skinned faces. Which is an extreme turn off for me. The darkest shade shouldn't come off as ashy, lifeless and remind me of makeup heartbreaks of old. Also...using models with different eyeshapes and actual swatches on multiple different skintones and textures. Yeah, that Sailor Moon palette was absolute trash. I wish they would actually try with their licenses and their limited edition palettes. Like I have so many eyeshadow palette ideas and special edition makeup merch for anime fans it is ridiculous. My ideas for a Rurouni Kenshin, My Hero Academia and Fruits Basket line would have people in a chokehold! It also feels like colourpop is not as pigment rich and long-lasting as it used to be. Also, ALL EYESHADOW PALETTES NEED TO HAVE A BUILT IN MIRROR. WHY IS THAT SO HARD?! I should not have to be struggling with separate palette and a separate mirror and just be able to have the ease of applying and checking straight away from the palette all in the palm of my hand. Also...someone will get hurt if they discontinue the Sol Glow Oil in "Caramel." 😂😂😂 It's sooo beautiful on dark skin to give that "touched by Bast" glow. Love you Robert!
I think Colorpop referred to themselves as the fast fashion of the makeup industry. I hope all brands become more thoughtful of what they release and listen to their customers.
I’m not personally the biggest sailor moon fan however the colors that’s used in Sailor moon are amazing. The series is one of the pillars of anime and manga it’s just a good idea not to mess it up.
Colourpop used to be a staple in my makeup collection, but I stopped buying from them because they never had stock of the products I wanted. The economy has changed and so have people’s spending priorities. The majority of people aren’t wanting to splurge on endless makeup palettes that they’ll use once or twice before moving on to the next new thing. The makeup buying frenzy isn’t what it was several years ago. The average consumer knows what they like, and wants to repurchase their tried and true products. Maybe people would be more likely to get excited about a special release if they were actually… special. If they were released far more rarely, and far more creativity went into them.
I've stopped paying attention to most eyeshadow palette releases because they are so many overlapping colors. I have a lot of the monochromatic palettes and a new 12 or 16 pan palette doesn't interest me anymore. I can pick the same colors from different 9 pan chromatics & get the same looks. I think they are ignoring the competition of Indie brands also. Indie brands are killing it these last few years with duo chromes & metallics. It speaks volumes when consumers are willing to do pre orders by paying and waiting on something unique instead of being bored & ignored by a brand. When Colourpop did jump on board giving us the liquid duo chromes, not many seemed to want them and besides, the Indie brand has done it better for longer. I agree with you Robert, Restock & Slow Down!
Totally agree! I have loved colourpop since the beginning when they only had lip products (around 2014 I think!) but I don’t pay attention to most of the new things they come out with because its tooo much. I’m not a makeup collector so I don’t just buy things just to have them.. I barely wear eyeshadow but when I do it’s colourpop, I have one of the large pallets and one 12 pan pallet and I think that’s it! My staple products are the tinted moisturizer, lip liners, eyeliners, lip glosses, & blushes. I’ve tried a few things from Fourth Ray beauty & Sol & they are good too but not stuff I repurchase
Please do not apologize for your skin. I LOVE skincare and makeup but suddenly I’ve developed eczema around my mouth with little bumps and super dry skin and it’s so embarrassing. You look amazing❤
Just with slightly better pay and benefits. Not saying it's right, especially when they're under so much pressure and are dealing with life/death situations on the regular. It does depend on the kind of nurse, the facility, location, etc. There are also scabs in the nursing field, but they're just floaters, working wherever needs extra hands. Not all floaters breach nursing or other strikes, I just thought it was crazy when I first realized that. Floaters are like traveling nurses, usually employed by the larger medical group and going between different hospitals or offices under that group. The medical and makeup industries could both use some reform.
I've seen you use ColourPop for ages but never tried them until I needed a blue only palette for a wedding look in February. Really liked it and thought the colors were really quality. If they stay in business maybe I'll try others.
The rate of their releases was too too much, and there was always so much crap in every release. It wouldn’t have been as bad if it was like a palette here and a lipstick there but no, it had to be 10 item collections every single week. Nobody’s interested in that much makeup. Thankfully, they’ve really slowed down on releases and I commend them on that, if they truly have made this shift internally and aren’t just on a mild break. I’m slightly worried since like a month ago they again started releasing like 10 items over the span of a month. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
I like their highlight and eye shadow formula. What I would like is if they focused on maintaining their good colors and products instead of coming out with something new every few months.
I totally agree with you, Robert. They are out of control with their new releases. I just delete their almost weekly new release emails without even opening them. They should listen to consumers. CP clears out, or sells out favorite items and we have no idea if they will ever return. The good stuff needs to stay. I think they have the mindset that they need to constantly drive increased sales with 'new' 'fast fashion' when they don't need to so. What about the environment? You are spot on!
Thank you for being up this subject! I’ve been a big ColourPop fan for years and still use them every day. Started with the Super Shock shadows then progressed into the pressed pigment, blushes and eyeliners. I fell in love with a Rose Gold pigment that was amazing. Wasn’t too orange, it was lovely. I emailed them multiple times inquiring on when it would be restocked. I even asked what other color is comparable. The answers were disappointing. Of course I’m not a huge spender and don’t have any pull but I agree they need to listen to the consumer. I remember buying the Mulan launch and loved the colors online but disappointed when received. They should just stick to what they are good at and quit trying to be “too” creative, it doesn’t work.
I remember when I first tried I bought a whole haul because of a sale, and was so excited to try everything! And when it arrived only like half of the products were nice. The rest had strange textures and when I went online about it everyone was like yea some colors are hit or miss. I was turned off from colourpop ever since. It might be cheap but if half my purchases suck then I'm at a loss.
This is a discussion I didn’t know I needed. I’ve loved Colourpop ever since they started, but you’re right - those constant collabs aren’t doing them much good. It really wouldn’t have been bad, but it’s like they don’t pour as much love to them (their palettes, specifically) as they used to years ago. The quality’s great, but the story is just…meh. One of the collabs I was looking forward to the most was the High School Musical one. I expected it to be extravagant, colorful. It was underwhelming. Ended up not purchasing anything from that collection. They just teased a Beauty and the Beast collection a few hours ago, and I’m hoping this one ends up being one of the better ones.
I never comment on youtube vids, but I will now for the algorithm. I love this channel and your honesty! 💕 Imo, one of the bigger downsides to them is how often they discontinue things. They made my fav lipstick ever, and when I went to buy a replacement, it was discontinued :( I understand limited edition makeup for holidays, but not quite the majority of their stuff being treated as "fast fashion" in the makeup world
The good things that you did say about their products actually made me want to go buy their stuff for the first time. I'm checking out the website rn. Good luck CP
This video was so great! I've been waiting for someone to call them out on this! I adore ColourPop. I appreciate their quality and price point, BUT I am so tired of the weekly emails and texts about new releases. There's so much new product production that they are over saturating themselves (if that makes sense).
Hi, Robert!!! I do agree that the supershocks and the gel liners (specially great the multichromes!) are stellar products. But I promised myself that I won’t be buying any CP eyeshadow palette with glitters again. They changed the glitter formula, they changed the name and now are eye safe, but I still hate them 😅 Many indie brands have evolved and offer palettes without the glitters… I know glitters are cheaper than duo and multis but I missed the CP palettes with just matters and shimmers 🤷🏻♀️
god i hope they slow down and LISTEN. i stopped using high end brands a few years ago and now exclusively use colourpop for eyeshadow and liner. they're my absolute favorite and i stock up on the felt tip eye liners every few months. they'd better not tank cuz idk where i'll go for eyeliner then 😭😭 but man i haven't been excited about one of their releases in years. and i'm STILL waiting for an olive green palette!
Part of what makes makeup releases and collaborations so fun is that they used to be much more spaced out and we had a chance to get excited for what was to come. And now that there are releases every other week it’s completely overwhelming, not special or unique anymore and often times the product themselves are either underwhelming or disappointing I think Colourpop used to be my favorite brand because they were fun, affordable and the quality was great for the price. So it’s sad to see that this is the direction they’ve taken with the company and I can’t stand when brands don’t listen to who’s keeping them in business. Listen to what the people want and consider the feedback you’ve been getting for years now about the constant exhausting releases. I truly don’t know how over saturating the market could be helping their business and part of me wonders if they’re kind of stuck in this cycle of constant releases because people aren’t excited about them and buying as much anymore I know the makeup industry is incredibly competitive but I really think if Colourpop went back to their roots they’d stay afloat
I have a ton of colourpop palettes but recently have been really into my complexion/face. Their bronzer and blush sticks are amazing. This weekend I tried their Prett Fresh foundation. Omg, where has this been all my life??? Gorgeous.
Thank you! Because this is exactly what I’ve been feeling about Colourpop. I stepped away from most makeup since COVID but since returning I find the beauty world to be unexciting, uninspired, and untrustworthy. I used to feel fierce loyalty for certain brands, but with constant rebranding, formula changes, and lack of comprehension of their consumers, makeup just isn’t as fun as it used to be. Colourpop was a brand that was affordable (I remember $6 lippie stix) and creative. But when I saw the Sailor Moon collections, I lost all hope
I have my eye on the gel liners and some of the palettes look gorgeous. I think what bugs me when any make up brand is constantly churning out new releases is the disappearance of the products that made me love them in the first place. They can’t manufacture everything, so the former product I would have bought over and over again is discontinued in favour of yet more palettes with slightly different colour combinations or similar looking blushers and bronzers. I like new stuff, but it loses its value when there’s something new every week! 💜🖤💜
I remember years ago, like 2016, when I was studying and working days I could, no contracts anything..so I couldn't afford much, but I remember saving and bought Colourpop for the first time. I had some troubles back then because they sent me another package, one with UK adress and I live in Spain. How that could happen, God knows...but I fixed it, got mine weeks later, and I just loved the makeup! I remember always saving for new lippies, powders...but it came to a point that eeevery week it came out a new pallette. I really wanted one, and whenever I was like "oh ok, next weeks I'll place my order, can't wait". but I swear every single time I opened trendmood there was a new Colourpop pallette...every single week. I just got over it, it got exhausting.
Why would you support HP in this day and age, knowing what JKR has become and what she continues to do? She absolutely got a cut of the money made off that collection, because she gets money off ANYTHING that's official collabs with HP.
Yes!!! Their collection was a very good one. It could’ve been better, but after what Ulta tried to do, Colourpop collection was really great! I absolutely love the palette because it can be such versatile one and it can be use daily either the neutrals.
@neko.grace. tbh the collab wasn't THAT long ago and it was already known at that point how awful JKR is (and of course she's only gotten worse), so while I agree throwing it out would just be wasteful at this point, it's still side eye worthy that anyone bought it in the first place. There was HUGE backlash when it was announced and many people were saying they simply didn't care and were going to buy it anyway.

ColourPop themselves have actually said their whole business model is to be the “fast fashion” of the beauty industry. Pretty sure it was the founders that were quoted. It’ll be very interesting to see if the premise of their whole business model ends up being their downfall…

Yes, they had so many cool releases that would go out of stock so fast, but they haven’t had anything cool come out for a long time now.
I know people that are still waiting for a Winx Club restock.
It me. I am.. was.. 😭@@DarkFire1536
The orchid palette is cool
It really does suck when they don’t restock because make up doesn’t last forever, it expires and then you gatta look around somewhere else
I use expired makeup😢😅😂
You gotta be kidding me! Proud of basically being the Shein of the makeup? 🤦♀️
Amen to that!
I haven't bought too much of their stuff however I've only liked 3 or 4 collabs from them being the 2 sailor moon ones and the animal crossing collab and the summer hello kitty collection. Everything else has looked rather meh
*gets distracted by lip gloss*
"... I'm sorry, what was I doing?" 😂😂😂
Same same!
the sailor moon collab had to be one of the biggest fumbles ive ever seen from a makeup brand. it felt very “we can slap whatever colors we want in here and you’ll still buy it” i think the last time i bought from them was the animal crossing collab and it was a small group order with friends. i threw away everything colourpop i had like last year and don’t incorporate any of it in my routines. not on purpose its just nothing from them stands out to me anymore .
This was exactly it! I was so excited about the Sailor Moon collab, and it was horrible. Like truly awful and made no sense at all
@THEECLECTICHIPPYWITCH I loved the novelty of it all. I liked the blush. I feel like the really screwed up with the lips. I wish they
did lipoils or lipsticks for the 5 main Sailor Scouts.

Same 😆😆 I also don't care about makeup, I just like listening to his takes on things 🤍
Big bonus that he’s a gorgeous man with a delightfully quick wit 💜
They seem to put out alot of product and many can't keep up with purchasing it.
The Flexitarian super shock highlighter is a staple in my collection. They definitely need to keep restocking products that their customers tend to use on a daily basis.
Yes! And it lasts FOREVER. I've had 2 pots for a couple of years now. It's amazing
Ugh. So damn beautiful. For real.😊
Yes, it's gorgeous!!
Im from the Caribbean and I always thought ColourPop was a British brand because of how "colour" was spelt lol.
Colourpop has some staples for me, they better not close ever lol
I knoooow! 🥹
Can you list some of your staples for me please? I would really appreciate it because ive been wasting money trying to find a good highlighter or foundation/blush/contour. I'm fair skinned with an oliveundertone but in cool toned
They would not refund me $4 and that was 2 years ago, I have not supported them since
My first customer service encounter with them was so gross, that I ended a 5 year makeup love affair over it.

Agree the formulas are not good now
They have SSOOOOO MUCH kickback
Yes I use a color pop skin tint and it so good but the color pop eyeshadow palette that I have isn’t the best…
Ooooh, Colourpop fatigue! I love that term!
The quality, intent and passion has greatly nosedived. Absolutely agree.
@theonetruesarauniya colourpop is the marvel of the makeup world (too many releases that start declining in quality as time goes on) 🤣
I also love ColourPop, but they really do have too many releases with similar palettes.
I just wish Colourpop would slow down on the launches & come up with something really fun again!
my thoughts exactly
LOL I posted the above comment before I watched the entire video and all I’ve done is repeat what Robert said, pretty much verbatim! 🤣
I was so sad to miss the Twilight launch...then I saw how many people didn't like it. So, I guess it worked out for the best.....

Swear I love it I’m so obsessed to have it I love the vision they had although it’s not my vision I still appreciate the take on it so cute
Honestly they just need to focus on quality. I can't say I've ever been blown away by color pop, I just don't reach for them. I think it's almost feeling overwhelmed by them. Also, I can't depend on anything because the product gets canceled Really quickly.
I still love and use my CP Fade Into Hue Palette. And it’s one of their colorful ones. ❤️

Thank you! 🖤🖤🖤
I was so overwhelmed with every new collection release, AND I lost my excitement for them because I knew the palettes would be lame neutrals either a pop of blue or hot pink. Big whoop. The Sailor Moon collection was CRIMINAL.
Their SS eyeshadow in Frog is my all time favourite eyeshadow. I need to buy a load of back ups
Mine too!
I hope your skin is healing & you're feeling better Robert 💐 🖤
I'm part of the exhausted group of folks who enjoy Colourpop stuff but yet sick and tired of seeing limited collections after another for the umpteenth time.
Your hair looks beautiful…perfect amount of bangs
Oooo. I have been waiting on this one❤❤❤
I think Colorpop referred to themselves as the fast fashion of the makeup industry. I hope all brands become more thoughtful of what they release and listen to their customers.
So they gave themselves a negative moniker, 🤔
So they think this is something to be proud of…?😒
Good points made! I'm over revolution constantly bringing out ranges all the tune too x
I’m not personally the biggest sailor moon fan however the colors that’s used in Sailor moon are amazing. The series is one of the pillars of anime and manga it’s just a good idea not to mess it up.
11seconds ago posted... I don't think i have ever been this quick to click
I love my Welsh videos before getting ready for bed 🖤🖤🖤
Just too many palettes of too similar, too often , dont want to give my money to them anymore. Thanks for this ❤
Totally agree!
Algorithm. Can’t think of anything else to comment. I’m mesmerized by the glossiness of lip combo!
I stopped buying CP a long time ago
Your definition of a sweatshop reminds me of how nurses currently work…..no breaks, no lunch, long hours……😢
I listen for your voice and humor ❤
Thank you! 😛🖤🖤🖤
No need to apologize for your eyelid situation. I (we) am here for your stellar makeup related content. 😊
I love this type of vídeos. I learn so much about many brands and i laugh a lot with Robert. His sense of humor is always the best part😂❤
Thanks Robert! They should slow down and focus on developing more unique products that would set them apart from everyone.
I wish we could get them in Canada. You have to order online. I like to see it in person. With it being such a hit and miss....
I couldn’t hit that notification button fast enough! Robert out here making my Mondays the best! 🖤💜🖤💜🖤

Thank you! 🖤🖤🖤

Imo, one of the bigger downsides to them is how often they discontinue things. They made my fav lipstick ever, and when I went to buy a replacement, it was discontinued :( I understand limited edition makeup for holidays, but not quite the majority of their stuff being treated as "fast fashion" in the makeup world
I feel like they've actually slowed down a bit lately, or is it just me?
Yes!! I feel the same!
Definitely have
They definitely have slowed down. They used to have weekly releases and don't seem to anymore! Or not weekly palette/collection releases.
The good things that you did say about their products actually made me want to go buy their stuff for the first time. I'm checking out the website rn. Good luck CP
Very informative, thank you for the video.
Thank you! 🖤🖤
This video was so great! I've been waiting for someone to call them out on this! I adore ColourPop. I appreciate their quality and price point, BUT I am so tired of the weekly emails and texts about new releases. There's so much new product production that they are over saturating themselves (if that makes sense).
Meanwhile Colourpop just teased a Beauty and The Beast collection 😅
Omg I want it!
I love ColourPop and even after my compulsive makeup buying went away they are the only company I have trouble saying no to.
"Crusty eyelid era"
Hi, Robert!!! I do agree that the supershocks and the gel liners (specially great the multichromes!) are stellar products. But I promised myself that I won’t be buying any CP eyeshadow palette with glitters again. They changed the glitter formula, they changed the name and now are eye safe, but I still hate them 😅 Many indie brands have evolved and offer palettes without the glitters… I know glitters are cheaper than duo and multis but I missed the CP palettes with just matters and shimmers 🤷🏻♀️
Robert getting destracted by his shiny lips is the cutest 😂😂😂😂
I want to see a Robert x Colourpop collab!
Love color pop! Do wish they'd slow down on the launches!
I had a blue lipstick from Colourpop from way back and was so sad when they discontinued it in favor of 50 shades of nude
They should slow down on their releases. I'm one of the people who loves them but I'm worried they will run out of colors.
god i hope they slow down and LISTEN. i stopped using high end brands a few years ago and now exclusively use colourpop for eyeshadow and liner. they're my absolute favorite and i stock up on the felt tip eye liners every few months. they'd better not tank cuz idk where i'll go for eyeliner then 😭😭 but man i haven't been excited about one of their releases in years. and i'm STILL waiting for an olive green palette!
Ugh, but they have such good eyeshadows
Part of what makes makeup releases and collaborations so fun is that they used to be much more spaced out and we had a chance to get excited for what was to come. And now that there are releases every other week it’s completely overwhelming, not special or unique anymore and often times the product themselves are either underwhelming or disappointing
I think Colourpop used to be my favorite brand because they were fun, affordable and the quality was great for the price. So it’s sad to see that this is the direction they’ve taken with the company and I can’t stand when brands don’t listen to who’s keeping them in business. Listen to what the people want and consider the feedback you’ve been getting for years now about the constant exhausting releases. I truly don’t know how over saturating the market could be helping their business and part of me wonders if they’re kind of stuck in this cycle of constant releases because people aren’t excited about them and buying as much anymore
I know the makeup industry is incredibly competitive but I really think if Colourpop went back to their roots they’d stay afloat
I miss their velvet blur line
I have a ton of colourpop palettes but recently have been really into my complexion/face. Their bronzer and blush sticks are amazing. This weekend I tried their Prett Fresh foundation. Omg, where has this been all my life??? Gorgeous.
My wife went thru a Colour Pop, Jeffree Starr and Beautylish phase….”shudders”
I love my Harry Potter eyeshadow palette from ColourPop. Unfortunately, I haven’t been interested in anything they’ve release since
Why would you support HP in this day and age, knowing what JKR has become and what she continues to do?
@@thatpinkbicthstar wars, marvel etc works exactly the same, so what is the problem with her having a ‚brand‘ where she gets bits and pieces of everything related? Even every song played on the radio wherever on earth, the artist usually gets some even if the song is decades old.
@@agnesmeszaros-matwiejuk8783thank you. Some people take this “how could you”, or “why would you”a little too far. If someone likes a movie and it has great memories for them, let them have their product and enjoy it, good grief. 🤦🏼♀️
I would be devastated if they went out of business! Their supershock blush, highlighter and eyeshadow are staples for me.

Robert, I agree with you and I also agree that they are one of my favorite brands. I think that they would probably be more inclined to listen to someone of your magnitude.
It would be nice if they slowed it down a little bit maybe put out some products and add the colors to it rather than discontinuing it because that is very disappointing
As always, thank you for your content great job at bringing things to light Have a great day♥️☮️🖤
Robert!! 😍
I don't even have anything from them, because it's hard to get in Europe, but listening to you about it was already exhausting. It makes a brand look cheap if they come out with something every month. It's not special, it's fast fashion. I agree with disappointed fans 100%.
They are doing way too much 😓
ColourPop themselves have actually said their whole business model is to be the “fast fashion” of the beauty industry. Pretty sure it was the founders that were quoted. It’ll be very interesting to see if the premise of their whole business model ends up being their downfall…
