Thank you for watching, Vašek! The airplane was flying so well until the pilot lost orientation. He already has a replacement! 😁

Appears to me as a typical high-speed stall, high bank angle and too much elevator input. Know the feeling when you're flying towards yourself (and crowd) and just want to get it to turn faster away... Wings level and pulling for a half-loop is often the better option. Sorry for the loss.

I don't think there is an rc pilot who hasn't tried to lose orientation of their plane. At least not anyone who is honest. 🧐
But hard to watch, especially when you know the feeling. and even more so because it was a spitfire. I always loved that plane…

I've been flying giant scale for a long time. 3D, Scale, Warbirds, etc and I can tell you that the instant he gave it gas on his takeoff roll, this outcome was inevitable. You can just see it. I only kept watching to see the landing attempt(s). If he hadn't lost it in-flight it would have been damaged/destroyed on the landing. Too much plane, too little pilot. We see that all the time.

That model sounded as bad as my grandpappy's modular farts after eating a couple mayonnaise ice cream cones.

How it made a sharp turn to the left and the throttle accelerated could have been a bad receiver

Well she was definitely rich and a tad tail heavy. Warbirds don't like to be balance flat on the cg helps to have her a lil nose heavy.

Why are giant scale planes always flown by the crappiest pilots?
