I have a back injury and have been trying it all to help myself: yoga, phys. therapy, chiro. No one, not one doctor has spoken to me so specifically how Kelly speaks. How he describes Matt's back is exactly how I feel and the state my lower back is in! I now how intelligent info to question my doctor about! Thank you!

Great video. Im glad you addressed the psoas as well. Everyone always talks about whats going on in the back but never mentions anything about the front. Thank you guys and God bless you

i just got an email back from Roop about this. this will be a HUGE help for me. 14 years in the military and 4 combat deployments has really worked my back over. add into that heavy squats, DLs, and power cleans (and my 8 year old bed that needs to be replaced), and i have a perpetually sore QL specifically on my right side. thanks so much for this video, it will help TREMENDOUSLY.

i did this with my lacrosse ball for ~2 mins on each side and instantly relieved so much tightness in my QLs

at the very start he says that bone is called C7, T-1 for those who are wondering. which is actually 2 seperate segments of the spine (one next to the other), but im pretty sure he means both spinal segments are starting to poke out of the back

Hot damn! Great idea.I just modified it using a Pro-Tec Athletics 5 inch Orb and a yoga bolster [to place at the level of the mid thoracics].Not only do i get access to the QL and LD fascia but to the sacrum and that thick sacral multifidus.

palpating the QL posteriorly? color me skeptical. maybe iliocostalis, latissimus dorsi, but isolating the QL must be addressed laterally.
