Nice. The same tools and methods my fellow Collectors and I use to repair and modify the 54mm toy soldiers that we collect. Its fun swapping out limbs, torso/ lower body, and heads among various figure to create new poses.
My word dude. That last rebel rifle repair was just mind boggling. If you had used a smaller drill bit, you might've caused a nuclear explosion. That was borderline atomic. Bravo sir! 👍👍

I bought a pin vice right after I saw you use yours! I cannot tell you how many times I have used it on projects and repairs. I even bought a second one to keep at work because sometimes I just need it there to fabricate test equipment. When I think of all the times I used glue during the 1970’s to repair toys and they broke again and it just resulted in more glue… or sellotape to hold stuff together. Now I’m using metal pins or plastic welding to repair whatever I can.
The small weapon repair was definitely impressive. Have you ever successfully repaired the small guard piece on the handle of he-man/skeletor swords? Curious if there's a method that actually works, because I've failed every time. Thanks, Dave!
The smaller the part the trickier it is. He-man's sword has an extra issue that it gets bent and stretched by the hand so I don't think a fix like this would be strong enough. I'll have to have a think.

Highly recommend using a Tpin to mark where your drill holes will be, that way it would help stop your drill from walking when using it. that is how i end up doing all my pinning for hobby work for miniatures.

Great video! Here's a tip, heat up a needle and make a small heated indent to make a good starting point for your drill. ;-) This will give you more control over the start of your drill process.
I had a fairly large transformers sword that broke years I go I fixed with something called "the last glue" and thankfully it's held for all these years but if I never need to fix it again I am doing this. Never thought of using a staple or paperclip.
I’m on the sight where happened and Im stepping over to person who seen the whole thing ,So in your own words tell us what u witnessed, Yeah it was incredible this man swooped in and repaired many vintage toys of all sorts, That’s incredible, That’s what I said ,Ok then what happen next ,Well just as quick as he showed up and fixed them toys I mean in a flash that sucker was gone ,There u have it this mystery man that pp know him as TOY POLLOI rescued broken toys from land fill once again.
Hey Dave i have 2 Ewoks the have no weapons the Vintage Kenner Wicket has no spear an the other Ewok Chief Chripa misses his Staff have you an idea how i can recreat that spear from Wicket and the staff from Vintage Chief Chripa ? P.S. Nice repair again.

A good way to make sure you center the hole on uneven breaks is to heat up the point of a needle and use it to mark where the hole needs to be

Or just use a small drill bit to start. I've never liked heating a pin and melting something. Far to many risks.

No, you get much more precision with a pin vice which is what you need when drilling very tiny accurate holes. The drill will be used another time 🖖

It depends on what I am fixing. There is no one size fits all. Pick the size that suits the job.
