In our Western eyes it is not ideal to have your kids in the countryside but it is probably better for them than living in the city with you.
Breadwinner and the hours you work makes it tough to be a mother and at least you know they are well taken care off.
We did that in the past - kids were raised by the grandparents/village while the parents worked and toiled in the fields.
