We own the 261 Heritage. Best family layout, features, quality of construction, fit & finish of any family-focused/sandbar center console we researched. Very pleased!😊
Have a 2023 242 open that’s been great so far. They certainly make a solid boat for a mid tier boat with nice features. Sure would have liked something semi custom but couldn’t justify for how often I get to use it.
Love the design of the 282 open but $265k without the seakeeper gyro is a bit steep for this tier of boat IMO. The dirty water in the floor box in bow area is a little concerning. If that was a macerated box wouldn’t it stop dirty seawater from intruding the box? I think you will hit a home run if you keep doing 3-5min reviews on mid tier CCs at these east coast shows.
I have a 2019 and they were going for 175 then all loaded but no seakeeper. These builders got greedy during Covid but the prices are coming down and new 2023 are still sitting at dealers. At least what we are seeing in NJ. It will be nice to see at the AC boat show deals on boats again not take it or leave it we have a 2 year line.
No water has ever entered our 261's macerated boxes. Our safety gear is there, nice and dry. I'm guessing that's dirty deck washing water, as my floor hatches are gasketed and don't let water in unless I put it there while cleaning.
It's a sweet boat and all sportsmans seem really great value boats with good reviews. Only thing I don't get is why pay that much money for a 2 piece boat. I don't think I would ever want a 2 piece center console. If anyone has a different opinion or any good reasons why you should I'd like to hear them. I've just always thought 3 piece is the way to go especially when you're running offshore.
WITHOUT A REFRIGERATOR!HA. No pride just slipstream profit. But yet nice boat. Oversized engine's...further turning your eyeball press to the "popping point"...😂 Hold on guys I'm.hsbing fun here! And I think the ideal in the rear was a second sam.pan style toilet ring already with the flush water!HAAAAA.😎🏴☠️🥸😅
I really want to know if the engines are tilted up, are they fully out of the water. If I have it in a slip don’t want lower units sitting in the water
Have a 2018 282 TE and I couldn't agree more with you. I absolutely love the hull. It handles it all and a very dry boat. The boat was also 100k less back in 2018. Since then, they have added more " cozy "/ "showy " features to it and jacked the prices up. Yea, covid caused a lot of increase because of supply chain issues and so on. But I myself think they should have kept the TE a little more fishing focused which would help keep the cost down a bit. I highly recommend anyone who likes the 282 TE to look for a solid used 2018-2020.

This 282 TE is hands down the best boat in that 26-30 range. They are a bit pricey but a great boat and beautifully layout.
TE?
That’s a nice boat but no trolling motor.

Please do a quick video on the 302. I'd love it.

Its sad that we live in a world where 267K for a 28' vessel "seems good" Its ridiculous!
Yeah I agree. My boating days are long gone and honestly I'm glad.

Can the small storage at the very front bow be plumbed as a pitch well?
Can you see if Bulls Bay 255 is there? Thanks
Looking for something to trailer.... The price, does it include a trailer.??
Why is there never any room between the seats and the transom? I wish we had some boats built today with a transom and a bracket
You may want to look at bluewater boats ;-)
@@PeterTuinman-o1y I will, thank you
Does it come with seakeeper ride?
Let's see 150k and below boats lol
They make a 23 with a single on it. Lol
Why are they advertising these TH-cam boats at more than twice what they actually sell for?
Personally, I think 267K for a 28 foot is too much.

I purchased a new Sportsman 302. Worst boat I’ve ever owned.
