This has been thus far the best walkthrough from a true fisherman with knowledge around the 302. At first you threw me off, when you mentioned digital steering as my 302 is also power assisted.
I like your secondary Garmin screen split 4 ways and I also like your use of storage in the bilge area.
For tackle storage I took all the boxes out of the right side and keep a small bucket of leads in there. The tackle storage seems overkill for what I use. I typically thaw out ballyhoo in the left side of the sink.
I see you're using your cleats as outrigger clips instead of a fixed clip position.
I'll prob install your Garmin 20 remote. Assuming you ran the NMEA into the battery compartment?
One annoying part on the 302 has been the hose its always in the way..
I feel like the Sportsman 302 & 322 are the best 30’ boats out there, cant find a single boat I like more in the range and almost impossible to find a used 302 since everyone keeps them.

@@eranmaron909 can’t go wrong with any sportsman to be honest. I went from a 247 to the 302 and it’s been amazing.

Very nice review from an actual owner that uses the boat to its full capability! A few questions for you, Sportsman's boat just came into my radar as an option for my next boat, I really like the 322 bc the console is a bit bigger (easier for kids to have a nap or whatnot) but I do trailer it a lot just like you, ignoring the price difference would you prefer a 32' instead of the 30' considering the weight and size difference? also how well does these hulls handle 3'-5' chops? have you had any issues with the all digital switches? do you prefer it over the analogs?
    Thank you in advance!

Sportsman has a price calculator on their website. Ours equipped the way it is with factory options and dealer options is around $285k. Here is a link to their price calculator.

Looks like you didn't get the joystick. Any regrets on that decision. I'm about to make the same decision.

I've never own a boat with joystick so it's unfair for me to say one way or the other. I don't feel I need it for the way we operate the boat but I am sure there are others that have tight setups that are glad they do have it.
