Nice boat. That 27-30 foot twin engine fishing boat is a great size as a fairly economical do all boat. Any smaller and you do not have two engines for safety offshore/speed, less seaworthy. Any bigger and you need bigger engines or trips so worse mpg, bigger is also harder to maneuver in tight areas both on the water and on trailer. Easily managed by one person if need be but comfortable enough to fish 4 easy and more for cruising. Sure if you have much money then go bigger, but for the upper middle class budget this is the sweet spot. It can be done with a smaller or larger boat but this size is a great size to have all around IMHO.
No Gyro specifically. Apparently on the 262 sportsman puts under the captains seating so you lose drawers for fishing. Can only be done at the factory as standard option which is in contrast to the bigger models that allow gyro to be added later under cockpit floor.

I heard that the 262 open has option for gyro but cant be added later like it can on the 282cc. Can you confirm if true? Good review!
You mean Sea Keeper ride? Auto trim tabs system

I think sportsman made the Sea Keeper ride standard now. Not the gyro.
