    As a constant critic of this girl, this interview exposed a lot. She seems to lack the ability to be self aware. She’s created a persona that is soooo consumed with other peoples lives and business that it doesn’t seem she has anything of value to actually say. As soon as you wanted to talk about ANYTHING that wasn’t her talking points she got this distant and bored look on her face. It’s quite sad.

    • @D_Str0ng1
      @D_Str0ng1 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@manda_musings8459 Genuine question... genuine answer. I'm pretty sure black dudes are in the minority of those that consume her content, we just may be the more visible for some reason. I watch Whatever podcast but I can't stand Brian Atlas so I can't say that black dudes "like" her. There are times that she seems unfairly targeted although she walks herself right into the firing line a lot.
      Some black dudes may say "she's speaking the truth and saying the things that we always say and feel". It may also be an "enemy of my enemy is my friend" type of situation with black dudes believing we're on the same side.
      Black dudes may also have an affinity for her because she was fond of Kevin Samuels and many of us would've discovered her from him and followed her journey from that moment. Some of us may respect her grind and the work she's done and how she was able to build her platform the way she has.
      She also listens to men. She took counsel and even paid for coaching sessions from many of the black male content creators that we know which shows that she's coachable and willing to learn. She also supports those men and their platforms.
      But, possibly the most understated factor is she's a "Plain Jane" which makes her much more relatable than other women in the space. She's not all "caked up" with makeup and doesn't sexualize herself to get attention and men respect that. Men are very suspicious and skeptical of female content creators that talk about mens issues because they think they're grifters and chameleons. Pearl seems to have past the smell test. There have been many women who've been in the space that have burned men. Many of them went on full campaigns against Pearl so it's possible that black men defended her because of that.
      Now to be fair... the old Pearl is the most likeable. She saying and doing things now that's not the smartest and going in directions that are obvious landmines. I don't think it's smart for her to do that. It was really her panel show that was her claim to fame but she refuses to bring that back because of the stress I guess.

    My guess on Pearl's underlying family dynamic: it seems quite clear that there was a lot of underlying tension in her parents' relationship and also that there was a strong dynamic of suppression regarding any emotions within the family surrounding that tension and likely similar tensions between siblings. At some point it seems she must have sided with her father for some reason. However, I get the sense that underneath that is perhaps an even deeper well of anger towards her father that would likely be the very last thing she realised if she worked through her emotions properly. This quite severe repression of deep interlocking emotional dynamics I believe is the reason she comes across as flat, emotionless and non-introspective as she does. If so much stuff of that kind has been built up without any recognition is can really turn someone into a kind of empty husk in how they present to the world.

My initial two theories were that her channel was a social experiment or she had a bad upbringing with a working mother who had little time for her and a father that only gave attention if a tangible accomplishment was made. She hates her parents deep down and holds deep seated resentment. She was probably the kid that did not achieve things like her siblings and got lost in the shuffle, never left the nest type…so started a TH-cam channel and loved the attention and sense of wanting. Her psychology is so blatant throughout all her videos. It’s also kind of a sad realization that this is what is entertaining…people with traumas. I hope you grow pearl and wish you the best, you really need to analyze why you think the way you do and don’t base it off your small increment of time interviewing men and women in the court system.
