I love your bags. I have a pioneer woman with scallops but never even thought of cutting it straight!! I will try that today!!! But I'm very distracted by your blouse!!!! Do you have a video on it?? Or a pattern??? I'm just assuming you made it!!! Thank you so much!!!
I have the same placemat and was looking for a refresher tutorial. Glad I found yours! Love your bags. Great job! I love Annie’s zippers too. They are the best.
Thank you for this little project - simple yet useful & classy! I am curious though - I actually liked the scalloped edge for something different. What is the reason you preferred to cut off the scalloped edge?
Hi very lovely pouch bags the one you did not like with the scallops I would take it turn it inside out at the bottom of each corner measure 1 1/2 inches draw a line to sew in both corners than cut triangle leaving 1/4 inch. Walla you just squared the bottom of the bag. Love to see it how. It comes out happy 🧵 sewing😍🥰👍🤗🤗leave the scallops on the sides it's different but 🥰 cute
i have a normal home sewing machine just a low cost brother machine. So how would I accommodate this thickness? do i need a specialized needle ? is this only done on a like a commercial machine ? wouldn't something this this thick cause harm to a low cost machine ? I am dying to use place-mats to make project bags and to make things like a bag to carry swim suits in etc.
That one is interesting for sure. There are a couple of challenges with the zipper you would need to experiment with but if you are an experienced sewer you would be able to figure it out.
Thank you, I am a beginner and you take the time to say which side I will be sewing on. I needed that . I need those reminders
Love this...your blouse is very pretty and very becoming on you. Thanks for great tutorial!
That was a super easy way to 'off-center" the zipper. I will be doing it this way!!

I shy away from zippers but I will definitely try this. Great idea! Thank you for sharing..

Great project😊
Great project! Deb! Love it!
My daughter had just mentioned needing bags for various items. This is great and looks so easy. Thank you!
If you make any share them on our Facebook page...we'd love to see what you make.
I have bought placemats at World Market. They mark them down & I get a cool bag.
That's a good way to do it.
Very cute, fun and easy! Can't wait to try one! Thanks for the share!! 💕

Hi Joanne! Yes, we do carry the iron-on vinyl. Here is a link: stitchinheaven.com/products/iron-on-vinyl-matte
Thank you
Really cute pouches. I’m going to try some. Thnx for the videos.
I think you could add some initials if you had an embroidery machine as well.
Yes you could...Thanks for watching.
I would topstitch after installing the zipper..great idea using
placemats
Makes it soooo simple.
What size zipper?
This is great, thank you!

Debi Diaz I also have a simple brother sewing machine. These are no problem to do. Normal needle and zipper foot is all you need.
@@peggyfleming4300 ty so much !!!!!
You don’t use pins when working with vinyl.
I liked the one with the scallops on the outside. I don't think I would cut them off.

Hi from the UK,
Can't see what your showing us much for the writing over the front of scream,it's in the way 😕
Please don't cut the scallops off! They add such a cute feature, so feminine, just precious.
