The only thing I enjoy more than boat tours of yachts I will never afford, is watching a sea trial of one of these beautiful yachts. Thanks so much for bringing us along for the ride.
Hugo, out here living the dream going full throttle like a banshee
Great sea trial! As soon as you trimmed it out it handled 30 knots beautifully. Love your videos Hugo. That princess wasn't making any screeching noise at 30 knots in a swell. We'll built!
15:25 yeah I would too if they let me drive their gorgeous yacht. 🤣😂🤣😂
When you quote fuel flow, do you always quote the figure as per engine?
Cheers Hugo, gorgeous princess yacht and brilliant vid for the day dream. 👏👏👏👍❤️🇬🇧
Absolutely beautiful yacht and great demonstration 👊
Thank you!
Very good test of a beautiful yacht.
Thanks
Great review, fuel costs seem excessive and that’s why I’ve gone from power to sail….Our Jeanneau 41 under power burns 3 litres per hour at 6 knots….not fast but it’s not always about getting there as quickly as possible…also wind is still free (at the moment) with the sails up it cost nothing and no engine noise!
Great sea trial! 😀
Amazing!!!
Great review again.
Cheers Nick
Nice to hear the sound in the different cabins while underway.
Would you please do the same for the Cranchi 67 and 78? That would be highly appreciated
very nice
That’s a fast boat. Your caption says it has 2 x 1,200mph engines. Do you not worry about spray at 2,400 miles an hour? That’s over 3 times the speed of sound? Remarkable, but I can’t imagine the fuel burn 😊
How much is it to charter something similar daily ?
18.02 spoke too soon? It’s great to see these beautiful yachts having a workout though.
That's because he didn't have it trimmed out.
Looks good but for the same money I would have the sunseeker 74 xps
Super seatrial but I miss some details for an complete tour. 👍🏽
Try watching our tour of the Princess F65 from 2022 as we show all the details in that one
It would be much more involving to see the drivers actual eye view and experience what you’re seeing.
Just at the limit of owner operation? Tempting over the F55
Adverts interrupted by a boat review. I gave up. Lovely looking boat though.
What has happen to princess prices on their boats? In 2020 a new V55 was like 1.5 million and a v60 2 million. Today a new v55 is like 2.5 and a v60 2.8-2.9 is that because of the inflation?
It’s partly that but Princess asked us to quote all their boats inc VAT and with a realistic spec about 18 months ago rather than a price from as per most manufacturers.
If you think that's bad, you should see the price of a Freddo 🤣
@@hugoandreae3785 - very interesting, and credit to Princess. I must say as a late convert to the joys of these boats, I find it bizarre that manufacturers tend to be so coy about their pricing. The only one that follows motor industry practice is Pearl, and then only the 62 and 72. But then, value for money is a huge part of the attraction of the Pearl line.
Well the new 2023 F55 costs 3.2 million, with that money 3 years ago you could’ve bought a new Y78 (which today is about 4.5 million). Princess yachts prices are trough the roof, doesn’t make sense why they’re so overpriced
Good stuff. Beautiful boat. However, you always sound like you are out of breath and nervous.
1200 MPH? Wow. (You need to change the graphic)
Oops, should be HP obvs!
????? 2 x 1,200 MPH ??????
Doh, meant to be HP!
Lovely boat but to be honest (and no disrespect to you guys as what you do is great) but I’m aware most boats we always see on TH-cam channels don’t represent the community. A uk salary of the top 0.1% would only be able to afford a new 35ft boat, and stuff like this is even more out there. It’s great to dream but to see some reviews on used boats would (in my opinion) represent the community better.
Noted
@@hugoandreae3785 noted for reading and replying to comments, what a man ! I hope my suggestion for a Jon Mendez cameo tour is took too 😁 fun aside, cheers Hugo
Sorry, but we would like to see those nice luxury yachts. The smaller 35ft and below we are not that interested.
@@michaelschneider3446 true,it’s great to watch this size yachts,S72 next please, let’s see if it can hit 40 knots.
@@michaelschneider3446 absolutely- it was just about showing variety in boat reviews (not exclusively) / the magazine used to do it. Not suggesting they stop the dream stuff 😉
can you not open anything.
😂
Not a great video really no drivers or view of the wake behind. It gives no idea at all really! Poor effort MBY.
Do the rudders self-center like a car's steering? I've never driven a boat.
Not on most boats but I seem to recall Ferretti fitting self-centring steering on some models
@@hugoandreae3785 Aha. Thanks
I’ve driven a lot of different boats, and I have yet to drive one with self centering steering. That’s because you might have to apply a bit of rudder to compensate for drift, wind, tide, to go straight ahead. Would be very tiring to have to ”fight” a centering steering for hours on end.
@@timessix8434 interesting!
