I really like Princess but it just so happens that your Sea Ray L650 came up and I watched both videos a section at a time comparing the two (except of course the fly bridge). And to my surprise I kind of liked the Sea Ray more and it was from 2018 I think! I am a little sad they got out of the market for this size because they did a really great design job on their boats 5 years ago. I can only imagine where it would be today
There are so many good options in the 65' size category at a variety of price points! I wish Sea Ray kept building them as well just to see where they'd be. I think to be competitive Sea Ray would've had to up their quality a bit to match the European brands like Princess of Sunseeker though.
Sea Ray is better, and cheaper...I hate it when they skimp out on the fly bridge. Seating for 30, but not much else...SeaRay, and others do a much better job incorporating features in the fly brigde.
She ain't no Riva! Haha. I do like Princess yachts, altough I prefer Fairline and Pearl better. But of the British brands, they make some nice boats, however to me they always seem like generic charter yachts. Certainly extremely nice and well finished, but for the money, you could get a nicer Galeon, Sirena, Horizon, Riviera or spend a little more and get a Riva, Pershing, or spend less and get an Azimut or Schaeffer. This size is such a crowded market segment and there are so many options. This always comes down to personal taste and what deal you can get. Princess and Fairline though will always hold their value better and insurance is easier to get on these.
There are almost too many options and brands especially in this 65' category but I think it's a good thing. Competition forces the brands to up their game which is good for the consumer.
