Princess cleverly decided to not fit the accommodations of a 70 foot boat into this 50 footer - like "other" boat makers have done. The result is a spacious feeling everywhere. The finishes are upscale but subtle. Everything looks to fit without crowding. Very nice job, Princess, very nice. And to our host who has been boating since birth, the guy who dispatches more boating information casually than some educational Tubers do intentionally and remodeled his home as the interior of a yacht - thank you, Nick.

It has probably been said before, but I absolutely love how you do these reviews. Just the fact you describe and explain stuff on each video rather than assuming the audience knows what it is. This makes every single video interesting and enjoyable to people of all experience levels. Quick example We recently went to a boat show and my wife got irritated with the salesman and told him...and I quote..."I'm done with you. I'll go watch the aquaholics guy and see if I like this boat or not".

Great tour of this beautiful Princess. When you said Windermere I couldn't stop myself from thinking that this is a lot of boat for a relatively small and narrow lake (10m x 1m) with a speed restriction of 10 nmph max for power boats. It will offer great comfort for sure and maybe the owner has some other plans too.

I have to say this is what I would call the perfect boat. Big enough to give you tons of room, small enough to operate yourself. The quality throughout, from the design right through to construction and finishes, is off the scale. I also like the Galeon, but this shades it for me. Great tour as usual Nick, thank you for the great content and your insightful, informative and humorous presentation.

I love princess yachts. The price does seem a bit high. I also have been on a lot of boats and Princess quality is far better than most. Walk in any of their competitors engine room and you'll see the difference. Great tour Nick

It's no Gulf Craft Majesty 175 but every time I see a Princess I can't help wondering if my eldest nephew had a part in building that particular boat, he's worked at the Plymouth factory for a number of years now bless him. The tweaks here and there like the one piece windscreen are definite improvements for sure what's not to like. It's got everything you need and it's done well, not a lot more you can say really 🤗👌🖖

One of the under-rated pleasures in life is sitting down to a spot of lunch and finding a new Princess video on Aquaholic. We do love a Princess. That's a big chunk of boat to have on Lake Windermere, assuming I heard you right Nick?

That's what I thought too. This size yacht is well suited to Lake Ontario, if fresh water is preferred.
Nice layout, though some creature features that I like are missing (saloon and owner's suite TV, fly bridge fridge, dishwasher..). Good job as always Nick.

Such a beautifully finished boat - classy and understated, I tihnk Princess got the balance just right here. The wow factor for me was the owners cabin - it was really spacious and well appointed, but the sitting area made it feel cosy and intimate at the same time. A really lovely boat!

Princess just know how to make a yacht. Its class all the way through. The engine room surprised me, how big it is. Boats bigger than her have less room in their engine room. I noticed your magic shoes, you was wearing them looking at the grill on the fly bridge. Then when you went between the pilot seats you was wearing just your socks. Great video as always Nick. Thank you for taking us on tour of her

Imagine spending $2.35 million on a new boat and ending up with the poverty spec (no TVs, no dishwahetr, no laundry, tiny fridge, none of that beautiful Princess high-gloss wood). If this was a BMW 3-series, this would be the $399 monthly lease special.

    • @blewyd

  • @gloriousradio
    @gloriousradio ปีที่แล้ว +2

At first I thought, "Windermere? Eh?" but it kind of makes perfect sense for a weekender and holiday home that you can just sail into the middle of a big lake and enjoy the peace and quiet - gentle pootling territory, stunning in all weathers, and considering the rest of the north west coast isn't all that for boating, probably quite convenient for the owner.

    • @origin178

    • @jamesc4686

Nice tidy and discrete little Wave there, Nick. Seems very appropriate for a boat like this, actually. I guess either the owner likes a bit of minimalism, or they're planning on adding more stuff at a later date?
The rear storage area in the transom was pretty decent, and the chain locker unusually large, I thought. This is possibly the first time I liked a flybridge helm better than the main.

My thoughts too! Seems a bit of a waste to stick it on Windemere. It’s not like you can go far.. up the lake (@10mph) down the lake (@10mph) and repeat ad infinitum. 😉 Having said that, it’s probably a relatively ‘cheap’ way of getting a lakeside property. Houses on the lakeside are crazy money

For everyone pointing at the price. The world isn’t normal at the moment. Prices has skyrocketed. The price on materials is going up everyday. Also princess can’t produce as many boats as they won’t due to the current lack of delivery of parts and materials.

Oh and also wafts you with a hand held fan when it gets too hot because I didn’t spot any air con (not that you need it for Windermere because it rains 364 days of the year, but for resale this boat would go to the med or south coast).

Compare it with a 2003 model and think whether the updated design is worth the extra millions, does it drive any better than a 2003, will my children have more fun a day at anchor in a bay???

Great tour of another lovely Princess.
BUT!! Why spend all the money on a boat without some options that people would certainly want as second owners. AND, why buy a boat that can do 30+ knots when it’s never going to go above 10?!
If I were Princess, I’d of refused to sell it to them. 😂

Did you not say that you won't do Princess boats again?

I guess you don’t know until you get up close to the build quality but princess and sunseeker always seem very expensive compared to others for what you get 🤷🏻‍♂️

nicer boat but side by side the galleon 500 stands out for me which is sad as i really want to like the princess after being born and living in Plymouth for 35 years

Yes the Galeon 500 is hard to beat for features and space. I'm actually surprised some of the more 'premium' manufacturers like Princess are not copying some of the Galeon features particularly the rotating cockpit seating or the adaptable bow seating/sunbed arrangement and possibly the drop balconies, tender garage etc.. I suspect the Princess is superior to the Galeon in terms of seaworthiness and build quality though.

At least the Owner has Maiden Marine at lake Windermere for the servicing of the IPS drives

The only thing wrong with this boat is the Galeon 500 Fly blows it out of the seas.
