Instead of fighting the enemy, it feels like i want to dance with them
Fighting is dancing.
Not surprising, considering how elegant clockwork meka is. Especially femine one.

The reoccurring theme of 9:05, 10:37, and 11:08 is my favorite-the parallel violin lines are slightly sweet and reminiscing the first time, reappearing in a higher register, and finally opens up in the statement of the climactic theme
You can also hear some sort of clockwork mechanism in the back, adding to the steampunk theme Fontaine has
@@muniiiii14it reminds me of the typewriter in Dvalin’s boss ost 😂
Exactly, and each time it increased by 1 octave. Giving us goosebumps vibes, like something big is coming brace yourself
11:07 I love the last part of Virelai des marees, so epic and dramatic
It’s a shame I never hear it in a fight since they end so fast
Do you mean to say that you don't intentionally drag out battles to listen to the music!?!?@@danielwoods3896
my favorite as well! I hope Mihoyo make the Orchestra MV of this song
Virelai des marees resembles me Ravel's "La valse". It is actually magnificent to create a piece, that is unique in itself, but that looks part of the native Fontaine's culture (say, we all know where is Fontaine IRL)
the music of Fontaine definitely makes combat feel more like a dance, much like a duel.
For every move your enemy makes, you move in accordance. your feet step to the rhythm of combat, every strike is merely part of the beat, and it does not stop until one duelist's clock stops ticking.
"Virelai des marees" has to be the culmination of classical music in video game OSTs: seamlessly incorporating one of many essences of Romanticism-contrasting melodies played by CONTRASTING instruments-really did it justice here. HOYO-MIX is in good hands even without Yu-Peng Chen, for the production team already has talented individuals that help shape the course of Genshin's music. Looking forward to what you guys have in store for the future!
- You saw an enemy with a chest
- You approach them
- You start to...
*D A N C E*
aether, biting a rose while approaching a hilichurl: wanna dance? ;)))
Yu-Peng Chen might not be on HoyoMix anymore, but remember: "Though you alone are here, they too have ambitions, which they long since entrusted to you." Let's carry forward what he would have wanted for the music, just as the rest of the HoyoMix team are doing.
Your use of a cutscene quote made me laugh so hard 😂
However, it’s very fitting in this situation
4:05 deserves to be in a museum somewhere its so good. Pure perfection, especially the beginning.
To me it even beats my up to date fav - Ruu's melody...🤫
8:21 Virelai des marées, the Fontaine Waltz, the Clockwork Waltz, has become my favorite of the battle suites! ❤
Lamentation et Triomphe 4:05 definitely my favourite one . The opening really gives me a goosebump while battling. The background music really adds to the excitement of the scene. It fits perfectly and makes the battle feel even more intense. Good job on picking a soundtrack that enhances the action!
beta version>
I fell in love with this one literally the first time I heard it!
@@echidnnnop, beta was just MID
Battling with this song while using Eula fits perfectly together, adding Yun Jin and Nilou enhances it beyond the limit✨
@@jellyace8119 someone gets it 💯
“Let’s settle this like gentleman!”
Just pure classical orchestra with a modern twist. Hoyomix strikes again with another set of bangers
14:47 I don't have Freminet, but I can still fight Coppelius forever, his music is so enchanting
This was the reason Zhongli had his rerun, so we could listen to the music instead of fight
Despite the absence of Yu Peng Chen, Rondeau des fleurs still manages to capture the structure and tropes of all previous Photon of Fluctuation-type battle themes.
Fontaine's in good hands
Wait, didnt he wright this one too? I was sure he did the entire Fontaine score, no?
@@helvid7076 Noooo he had already left by then
Who is the new composer?
Virelai des marées is my favorite battle theme from this region, and it makes me glad to see others appreciate it too!
0:56 from this part till the ending, i fell in love with this battle theme, such an awesome masterpice❤
Fr
2:23 Ughh I get chills every single time and again at 2:54!
Then there's all of Lamentation et Triomphe which just puts a big smile on my face and makes me laugh because there's no way something could be so good. I can't help but ascend listening to the music from both Sumeru and Fonatine. Thank you Hoyo-Mix for everything you do, we're so grateful.
No game has this many bangers.
Even without yu peng chen, this is awesome 👌
I still miss him deeply..
I miss him too, but we’ve got great successors of Yu-Peng Chen.
What happen to yu peng chen?
@@LemoneliHe left Hoyoverse
yes, but the hoyo-mix team is very talented! even most of the genshin ost wasn't composed by yu peng chen, though! (eg. ayaka demo, yae miko demo, candace. demo.. just to name a few)
I love how there are multiple disks, just one can’t contain them all!
bouta buss
This one includes all combat related themes
This music feels so fitting for 2 swordsmans fighting using baguettes, and don't ask me why.
Also, Genshin music is in a league above of everything...
J’aime la musique de la région de Fontaine.En particulier les musiques de l’océan et de bataille.
Très bon travail Hoyo-Mix!
Also btw I am German but after I saw all the french track tiles of the Fontaine OST, I saw it as the perfect opportunity to practice my French a bit:)
Tu t’en sors bien! Ne te décourages pas en apprenant le français même si c’est dur 😅

Everytime I hear Rondeau des fleurs et des rapieres I can always imagine Furina dancing and Furina's story.
Thank you, Genshin, for giving us good music once again.
Rondeau des fleurs et des rapieres is the the best one
Genshin music never disappoints
Yup, Rondeau des fleurs et des rapieres is definitely my favourite. 0:47 is so beautifull. Classical vibes.
0:49 2:44 I'm obsessed with this cascading line, it sounds like a flood crashing down
12:14 the entire Icewind Suite is magnificent
Coppelia and Coppelius's themes are the most impressive ones to me
you can tell the different in the tone of the two seperate music that Coppelia's is very elegant, light hearted and harmonic, and Coppelius's is more dominant, masculine and epic.
Ahhhh the song when fighting Coppelia and Coppelius is so wonderful!! 12:14
The piano at 3:16 makes me ASCEND WTF IT'S SO GOOD
i still stand by my belief that the first track is the best one, especially when i heard it when it leaked as a midi, thats when i decided it. I like the other ones just as much, but i still like the first one the most.
Y la calidad de la música solo va en aumento, HOYO-MIX nunca decepciona 🚬🗿
Virelai des marees is definitely the one. It sounds so elegant but it maintains that high tension needed for a fight
5:33 whenever I just happened to cast Furina's burst exactly when this part of the music starts, I immediately goosebump. Majestic finale at it's finest
Genshin really deserves OSCAR Award fr (if there is any) 😳❤
12:10 OHMYGOOOOOOOOSH SUCH A MAGICAL OST. OHMY OHMWYSD OH I LOVE THIS SO MUCH SUCH A MASTERPIECE I WANT TO CRY
Seriously, where are the awards for hoyo mix????
WHERE?
I so badly want Genshin to cover Celtic and Flamenco styles of music.
I think Flamenco style music would be in Natlan region.. not sure though
@@tristanmanalo6252 i think it's highly possible , natlan based off at least latin america imo
@@tristanmanalo6252There are many references to Spain in Fontaine (it seems that Fontaine is based in southern Europe) and flamenco is from Spain, not Latin America, so it is not strange that it sounds in Fontaine's music. In Natlan I suppose there will be another type of music similar to flamenco, I think?
Flamenco could still appear in what is still missing of Fontaine.
Celtic... perhaps in Sneznahya (as well as Russian music)
@@judyvialas448there were some in Sumeru too. Guess those three regions will have some aspects but never the central point.
10:21 Hits hard. Deserves a chefs kiss
Rondeau de fleurs et des rapieres sounds like a intense royal fencing match
One of the best music I’ve heard
I love that flute sound the start from the song
Fontaine music such a pleasure to listen too. Very elegant but grand in nature to display a wonderful show
hoyo-mix team never disappoints fontaine's ost is so majestic
4:05 Has to be one of my favourite songs in genshin
Geez... YAS!🥰🥰
I swear dimeng yuan is yu peng chens successor, almost all my favourite fontaine tracks are composed by him
Are you the one?
@@spymadmax584 which one?
Dimeng Yuan was always ahead imo just for Rex Incognito 😳
"Rondeau des fleurs et des rapières - Roundel of Flowers and Rapiers"
THIS ONE. This one has a different pitch compared to every track for battling. And it's so good.
"Lamentation et Triomphe (of Triumph)" reminds me of various Character Demos ngl, and has a Randy Newman trumpet vibe to it 😌
The Icewind Suite tracks don't feel intense honestly but they capture what the machines are intended to do.
1:41 Narzissenkreuz leitmotif
Each one of them are waltzes but different kinds and for different occasions, depending on how spicy you want the dance to be
Pov: Me purposely not attacking the enemies because I want to listen to the whole battle track
this is my favourite combat song in genshin.
omggg I have been waiting for thisss!!! Thank you so much for the hoyomix team
La Bataille de Fontaine is def my favourite. I can't stop listening to it.
I just cant get enough of Rondeau, literally best battle theme in Genshin!
10:20 amazing piano!
first one is my favorite battle theme, its amazing
Now to fully hear the songs I miss because I'm too strong

FINALLY!! I CAN HEAR THESE TRACKS ON REPEAT
BATTLE THEME BATTLE THEME NOW DISC. 4 AND MASTERPOST!!!
Rondeau des fleurs et des rapières: Rondel of flowers and rapier (For rapier I had to go to a translator, I'll admit, a rapier is a long, but thin sword)
Lamentation et Triomphe: Lament and Triumph (I don't think anyone actually needed that one lol)
Virelai des marées: Virelai of the tide (Virelai come from virelay, a lyric short poems)
Now, to the master post:
Disc. 1:
Souvenir avec le crepuscule: Memory with the dusk
La nuit silencieuse et paisible: The silent and peaceful night
Quand la lumière resplendira: When the light will shine
Pluie sur la ville: Rain on the town (City will maybe work more, but "Town" is prettier)
Le fleuve secret: The secret river (Fleuve is however, like, a very big river)
Limpide et sanglot d'eau: Clear and sobbing water
Clair de lune: Moonlight
Le spectacle doit continuer: The show must go on
"Je sais le nom de l'entranger!": "I know the stranger's name!"
Disc. 2:
Rêve d'allouette: Skylark/Lark's dream (It have many translation, for the who don't know, an lark is a bird, it may be a reference to a baby song "Gentille Allouette" ("Nice lark")
Que le vent soit doux: May the breeze be sweet (We can also say gentle or soft)
Ondulation du rythmes: Rythm's ripple (we can say Waveform instead)
Language des fleurs: Language of the flowers
Demain, dès l'aube: Tomorrow, at dawn
Les murmures des flots: The murmurs of the waves (or whispering)
Les Nuits: The Nights (He said "One day, you'll leave this world behind, so live a life, you will remember")
Qui me freine a un tel moment: Who slow me down at such a moment
Disc. 3:
La cité en la mer: The city to the sea (?) (I think they meant "Cité")
Les étoiles semblent s'estomper: The stars seem to fade (Yeah, they don't put the accent)
Le dormeur du val: The sleeper of the valley
Disc.4: (still posting it here, gonna make it easier to copypast)
Rondeau des fleurs et des rapières: Rondel of flowers and rapier (For rapier I had to go to a translator, I'll admit, a rapier is a long, but thin sword )
Lamentation et Triomphe: Lament and Triumph (I don't think anyone actually needed that one lol)
Virelai des marées: Virelai of the tide (Virelai come from virelay, a lyric short poems)
And that it. Once the other disc get released, I'll move the masterpost there. Thank you
You're amazing 🌻✨
Please have the Icewind Suits' respective themes play when we fight them in abyss :c
Still no misses. Rondeau deu fleurs being my fave out of all the battle tracks
0:08 Rondeau des fleurs et des rapieres
4:09 Lamentation et Triomphe
8:07 Virelai des marees
12:16 Aubade of Coppelia
14:34 Envoi of Coppelius
(Your welcome if this helps!)
Thank you! ^^
8:21 - best one cmon 😭😭
For those who don't know, both Aubade of Coppelia and Envoi of Coppelius are available to both of the bosses. The Aubade of Coppelia will play if they are not in climax mode, and Envoi of Coppelius is to have them perform their climax attack, so you can still enjoy listening when grinding for boss mats to your Lynette, albeit have them perform their climax and have a shielder :D
Yes! I've been waiting since fontaine release for these tracks. Now I can jam to Fontaine ost on my commute 🎉
Bro 11:08 to 11:35 is absolutely goated 💯
Since sumeru, battle ost = dance ost
Now is still same in fontaine too
It's beautiful work.
Thank you so much
the icewind suite music is amazing, i wanna dance with them fr
Literally already nice even though I didn’t hear it!
Good, really good fontaine music is top tier as always.
the battle music look like traveler will use real power to erase all evil
best region by a mile
Lamentation et Triomphe has a very Spanish vibe to it which I dig, despite it being one of the only parts of Fontaine with non-French influence.
[Cries in Italian over Fontaine Lasagna]
It’s good. But I still liked Sumeru’s Battle Theme. Swirls of Samshir is just goated for me personally. Never got bored listening to it.
Fontaine soundtrack made me appreciate the value of a DPS Barbara, and the thrill of fighting through the whole song.
Just kidding! It wasn't Fontaine, I've been doing this since Sumeru :)
