We’ll start with the bigger picture we saw in second quarter earnings and stock market news, then work our way through sectors, valuations and the companies that should be on your radar…and those that you need to avoid. I know the big picture isn’t as sexy as going right to the stocks to buy but it’s going to be so much more important for how you invest.
That’s because it is so much easier to get the big picture right. Seeing the general trend in earnings that could support the entire market or the trends in each sector of stocks is a lot easier than trying to pick that one or two stocks that will outperform. Being able to spot the bigger picture trends then will guide you into the sectors and specific stocks that, even if you don’t pick the very best out of 1000s, you’ll still do well because you have the broader forces pushing your stocks higher.

Added more. It was actually a good earnings but like most AI stocks, the expectations were impossibility high. Made cash flow positive which is very important and continued strong growth
Thank you Joseph. Your reports are valuable and on point. I think the drop in french fry sales marks an under discussed change in dietery habits and how that relates to the market. The consumer is becoming wise to processed foods, sugar / excess carbohydrates, cheap seed oils, and their terrible affects on our health. It would be interesting to see if there is a trend showing declines in the fortunes of Kraft, General Mills, etc. All the major manufacturers who continue to produce and market prodcuts with low cost ingredients that make us sick over time.

The issue is most people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but not skilled enough. Ideally, advisors are perfect reps for investing jobs and at first-hand experience, my portfolio has yielded over 330% since covid-outbreak to date, summing up nearly $1m.
I previously believed that all investors experienced financial ruin during economic downturns, but i now realize that some of them actually make a fortune. In summary, while some people face recessions, others seize profitable opportunities, and it all begins with having the correct mindset. As a result, I have allocated some of my savings for future investments. Regrettably, I lack experience in this area.
The market has gone berserk. Irrespective of experience level, everyone needs a sort of coach at some point to thrive forward.
INTEL hasn't made a competitive CPU in 4 generations. THeir GPUs wont catch up any time soon. So they are running at a loss on GPU, and AMD is eating their market share for at least another 2 years.
