Protecting your capital is much more important than making money. Basically because if you lose your capital, making money is much harder. ''Missing the train'' vs. ''losing your money''. There are a lot of trains, but if your money is gone, it's over. This is for stock holders.

Unfortunately, most people don't get this, the majority is after chasing tops/bottoms where they fail & get out of the game. Therefore, in the current bear market, we should pay more attention to the risk rate of the market. We must control the risk to a minimum and improve earnings. It is best not to blindly enter the market.

Dividend stock is most effective when approached with a long-term perspective. While dividends can provide immediate income, the true power lies in the compounding effect over many years. Its worse here, our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.

I have been a dividend focused investor for a long time. This does not mean I don't own growth stocks, I do. A well rounded portfolio should be a mixture of both categories. One way to minimize the anxiety out of stock market investing, is to make sure you keep a large cash cushion. I invest in the market, but never put all my money in market.

If you're new to stocks and don't know what your doing the safest thing to do is put the money into mutual funds and start to read/research when you have time. Dividend paying stocks are great but don't fall into the new investor dividend trap stocks that decline in value to pay high dividends or you'll end up down. This is my personal opinion. Do like they recommend in the richest man in Babylon. Only put your money into something if you truly understand it and don't fully trust other people to make your money decisions for you especially if they get a commission/fee for doing so.

Jokes aside, I can confirm this. However the YIELDMAX ETFs have a history of going down in value unless the underlying asset is in a constant upside. They do pay well but are also subject to income taxes.

@@ryanvanderhoff1452 I’ve put shares in my Roth account so there’s no tax implications. Yes it could go down but also can rise back up depending on the markets response to the correlated stock.

I feel investors should focus on under-the-radar stocks, considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises plummeting stocks that were once revered. I don't know where to go here out of devastation....

Find quality stocks that have long term potential, and ride with those stocks. I have found it takes someone who is very familiar with the market to make such good picks.

Yes. It is very easy to buy in on trending stocks but the problem is knowing when to sell or hold, which is why a coach is important. I've been in touch with one for about a year now and although I was initially skeptical about it, I will say I've made more progress within a year generating 6figure profit
