Thank you Rory 🙏🏽 I found you through that channel. It has some great stories! I have been going through the assimil book this morning. Really enjoying it and this way of learning rather than the once a week private classes with adult students.
I haven't watched too many of Luca's videos, but I know he gives great advice. It could be similar if his method is to translate between French and English to understand :) I haven't invented any of these methods - I just share the ones I have found the most useful on my personal journey and what my students are finding success with !
Hello, I am an Arab and I want to learn French, but I am worried about pronunciation. I find it difficult to pronounce French letters, such as the letter “ra.” I also find it difficult to read in French because there are letters that are written but not pronounced, but I want to learn them. Do you think things will be okay in the future or not? I feel a little sad 🥲🥲
Good question! Yes, the "r" sound in French does not exist in Arabic, so it is something you will have to learn. But, the "r" sound also does not exist in English, so it is was something I had to learn also. If you have a strong reason to learn French, you will succeed. French has unique sounds that both Arabic and English do not have. This will not stop you from learning French though. If you dedicate 30-60 minutes a day to learning French like I show in my videos you can build a really strong level in just a few months, Did you have any other questions?
@@FrenchCoach Thank you very much, but if I wanted to learn French and dedicated an hour to it, where do I start learning? Do I read short stories or memorize sentences and words? I want you to teach me how to start?
@@eilxx1807 well if you have $100 to spend, you could start with the Assimil French with Ease book. It's the book I recommend to my students. If you are going to buy, make sure you get the USB audio with it also. However, if you can't spend $100 on the book, no problem. I would watch TH-cam videos like this one here. I would read the French while listening to the audio, and then pause and repeat the French after I translate to English. The key for you to progress is doing 3 things (1 - reading and listening to the French at the same time, 2 - translating to English the French sentences so you can understand, 3 - speaking. the French out loud like I showed in the video there). There are 2 other YT channels I recommend to my students - French Facile & Easy French.
@FrenchCoach I am taking classes from French with dylane, and reading french newspaper and listening practice for 20 minutes a day! I completely understand the words but vocabulary is hard to remember and messed up in sentence

Could this be combined + Luca Lampariello’ ssf bi directional translation method?
