  • Welcome!
    I’m Tiffany! A Christian wife and mama! I found out I had breast cancer in 2020 and then two days had a positive pregnancy test.
    I am not giving medical advice and I have no background in the medical field. This is a video journal and it’s meant to be a testimony to all that God has done.

    I just had my diep flap procedure one week ago and can relate to every single thing you mentioned ! So crazy how similar our experience was 😅

      @@Jessie_86 it’s also so nice to relate to someone. Cancer can be kind of isolating. That’s one reason why I decided to share parts of my story.

    I had my DF done August 20, I think I was in the hospital till August 28. I had some complications. (Nothing new for me.) The surgery lasted 17 hours!! Craziness!!
    My kidneys tried to quit working and I needed a unit of blood. I was pretty hopped up on drugs the entire stay, I don't remember a lot of it! Waiting on Phase 2 now. Hopefully that will be my last procedure!! Been on this journey since April 10, 2021. 🎉

    You and your sweet family are adorable. I am new in the cancer journey and your love for Jesus helps me as a born again Christian knowing I can do this. 😊. I’m quite a bit older but learning from a few younger women like yourself . I just lost my husband four months ago so would appreciate your prayers as this journey without him will be a bit more difficult. Love seeing how sweet your husband is with you. God bless. Thanks for your courage. 💞

      I hope you did well with your recovery. Our Heavenly Father is always with us; if we call upon him He will deliver what you need. I had to tell my manager about my cancer diagnosis; if it been my choice I would not have told her. She put fear in my mind when I told her chemo would be 5 hours. her response to me was, "are they trying to kill you!: I had uncontrollable crying so the nurse called to try to get me calm. I couldn't bear it anymore so I instantly called upon Our Heavenly Father. I asked him to be there in the morning AND NOT TO BE LATE! He was there when I got there. He instantly brought me to a calm state of mind; I instantly heard like a voice telling me, you are doing well this very second, don't look at the next second. I became calm realizing that I was doing well and had NO bad reactions to the chemo. When the next second came He instructed me, "you are dong well this very second so don't think about the next second. Then his voice was gone. He knew I would do well.
      Please call upon our Heavenly Father often, He knows a 911 call when he gets one. When a deep relationship is formed with our Heavenly Father, you will begin to feel his presence and hear his voice. His presence feels of a deep Love.
      I'm sorry U didn't have your husband to get U thru your healing process, but our Father was therefor U. I hope you had someone helping you out physically and your healing went well. .

    It is hard to wrap my head around how they transfer skin and fat to another area of the body. I imagine it is not an easy thing to accomplish. I am excited for my appointment with the plastic surgeon to see what I can have. I'm hoping for diep flap, i have plenty of fat for it I think.

    Hi Tiff, would you pick diep over implant? I got diagnosed 2 weeks ago stage 1 but I don’t know which surgery should I do. The diep is more invasive than implant

    • @tiffanyrae6592
      @tiffanyrae6592  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For my situation, yes, I would choose DIEP flap over implant. When I weas first diagnosed I did get an implant, but it needed to be removed when my cancer came back. There are many preferences to decide on. With implants you will need to have replacement surgeries every 10 or so years. You also run the risk of Breast Implant Illness and you have something foreign in your body. With DIEP it’s all your own tissue. You are right that it is a bigger surgery and more invasive upfront.
      Have you thought about starting with implants and then do DIEP years down the road after you have had time to do research, see how you like implants and finish any necessary treatments.

      @@tiffanyrae6592 hi Tiff I was thinking getting implants but I want something long terms plus my stomach can be flat too haha. I haven’t have a date yet for surgery bc the radiologist found something else on my breast different area and they did a biopsy second time and still waiting for the result. I have the ductal cancer but waiting on the second biopsy and see is it different kind of cancer. How did your process go? Can you tell me about your journey? I don’t know anyone who have this and I feel so alone I need advice. I just don’t want to be open the second time in the future. I
