Ain't nobody got time to buy one if the rounds are going to simply bounce off. Anyone have a link to this sort of video? I feel like every video shows folks in California wearing t-shirts and flipflops getting pelted or big dudes with their shirts off, featuring their chest tattoos and man-boobs.
This is kind of a funny story about how some people who think they are smart but are really stupid, I was talking to someone that I know of, whose father was in the past, a mob henchmen, he told me his family wasn't a gun family but his father carried guns on himself, so I asked him if he carried and he said no, so then I asked him if would carry a Byrna and he asked what's that? I proceeded to tell him its a less lethal weapon that people are carrying with themselves an alternative so as to stop rather than to kill, so then I asked him, don't you worry about the possibility of a violent confrontation, of being attacked? His response was, sure, sometimes but how good is a less lethal when you really need to have a real gun? So, this response from a guy whose father was a tough guy for the mob, who carried guns to do those kinds of things and his son who doesn't carry any protection but thinks about the possibility from time to time about violent attacks and a less lethal like the Byrna is useless and won't help. Does that make any sense? To be vulnerable and allow yourself to be a victim from anyone who can't control themselves or someone who has intentions of doing bodily harm to you? When it happens and it is too late to protect yourself and or your loved ones, it really is too late.
And if he had just NOT confronted tractor man and let the police handle it, he would not have had to discharge his Byrna. He knew where tractor man lived and could have directed the cops. Carrying a Byrna actually encouraged or emboldened him to involve himself in the situation where there was no imminent danger to life..when, for true non lethal self defense, he should not have engaged himself in the situation. tough guy with a pepper spray gun.
This is a good point, this kind of tool drastically reduces the threshold of what becomes self defense. And with very little liability combined with people carrying them all over they really just want to use it
A good example of a situation that does not call for lethal force. In this case the Byrna owner would have to kill a man and then face all kinds of consequences (rightfully so) or turn a blind eye to an intoxicated menace to him and others. Destroying property and possibly hurting someone badly. His injuries are, in the end, non consequential and perhaps saved another person great harm, yes, even the drunken idiot. Any number of things could’ve happened in this scenario, most of them bad. The citizen did the right thing with the right tool. Most cases of street self defense of self or property can and should end this way. At the end of the day everyone concerned can go home with, hopefully, lesson learned.
Can we trust that drunk tractor man was no longer a danger to others or himself? He had already damaged other people's property. All the OP did was ask him to stay here because the police wanted to talk to him.
i dont feel like hes telling the truth he skipped the whole middle part of the story and went straight to saying "a little while after that he started running towards me" how we know he wasnt the one being aggresive just so he can tic the guy off just so he can use his byrna

Now if the guy who was telling the story had said he was minding his business and a intoxicated man just walk up to him and became violence towards him and he had to use his Byrna I would supported that but it wasn't smart to walk up to the intoxicated man and tell him that the police is on the way and you need to stay here, that could had became a bad situation for him if the intoxicated man had a gun himself, stay smart out here people stay smart.
@@MrGameChangers I don't know what to say to someone like yourself other than I wish you weren't so brainwashed. Discharged his weapon 🤣
Reasonably could have avoided confrontation in this situation. I have the SD
It's a good thing it was a Byrna and not an actual firearm since the intoxicated man didn't have a weapon of any kind. Byrna saved both their lives. Buying a Byrna is on my bucket list.
I don’t believe this story because the police sounded reasonable.
Oh my goodness! You mean they didn't act Stupidly!!!!! (like Obuma would say) . LOL.

It's only a matter of time before a rookie cop does something like arrest you for defending yourself with an air pistol.

Can you discharge the Byrna in your home and it not affect the homeowners?
Not the pepper. That would contaminate your home and require a lot of cleaning up, so I hear.
@@nihonbunka , Not true! It's literally the same as spilling a spoonful of cayenne pepper.
First round was kinetic, 2nd was Max, what about the rest? We’re they all Max after? Do you guys think the Pepper found would have been just as effective? Is paying more for the Max worth it and necessary?
What are the different rounds that the burn of fires and what are their volatility?

This is exactly what I was thinking??? Like now you gotta just sleep a couple houses down from the guy you shot 2 days ago
@@alexglaser_ At the very least it will be very awkward every time they see each. Hey Bill sorry for shooting you the other day lol
You can say that for almost any case in which one neighbor gets into it with another neighbor. The issue is once the cops have been involved usually someone backs down. Usually.

Some states don't allow pepper spray without permission. Check your states info FYI
Good use of your byrna
A non-firearm weapon legal in all 50 states that can non-lethally stop and incapacitate a fully clothed grown man from distance.
Got my Byrna last week. I always carried a semi but was nervous as hell if I had to shoot someone because law-abiding citizens face way more legal hassles than perps. This is perfect.
I am thinking about one of these units for my wife and daughter, when I am not around, while adding a less than lethal option for my armory
Wheres video?
They will allow you to bring that to school?..if so,im shocked
No, def not. If we're talking public high school, I remember I couldn't even have pepper spray.
Everyone thinks these guns are better than killing the person but man now you gotta live down the street from the guy, I wouldn't trust him not to come in my house at night and kill me or some shit.
That is why you have the option, most people I know have both real weapons and also the Byrna
@@chrisfry436 I only have a real weapon, if they don't break in my house they'll never see it. pretty simple imo. I don't believe in less than lethal, you never know what people are on
Well let me say I also carry the SDXL that being said just cause we carry this none lethal tool it does not mean we should put ourselves in situations in wear we need to use it we should follow all rules as if it's a real weapon , if that was me yes I would call the cops but I would never engage with him in any way because you don't know if he has a real weapon or if he is on drugs, it would be a shame to loose your life over a mail box, carrying the byrna shouldn't make you feel like you have bigger balls and confront people we should have the same mind set as carrying a real weapon and that is to only use it when the situation is unavoidable to walk away from, we are living in crazy times in were minding your business or avoiding conflicts means making it to your job the next day...🤔
If he was drunk all you had to do was move out of the way. Don't call a Byrna a weapon
The Byrna is a self defense weapon, just like a baseball is a self defense weapon.
I'm kind of on the fence about purchasing the byrna now..you said you unloaded the whole clip on your attacker & "he kind of stopped" after the pepper round hit him....listen, theres men over 6ft & 250lbs + that if they were enraged enough or on drugs could probably eat those byrna rounds for breakfast...either they start making stronger rounds or its just not strong enough for my liking. If I shoot this thing at somebody in the face, neck or chest I wanna know that they are too fucked up to come back at me.
The point is it's non lethal. You can only get so close.
@@BigWheel. that's true, but I'm sure they can make rounds that can knock out or break bones of your attacker. Ive seen ppl experiment getting shot with byrna rounds, it looks like a marginally stronger paint ball effect. Just because something is non lethal, doesnt mean it can't seriously fuck somebody up & send them to the hospital when they get hit.
@@dl5014 check out the Grimburg HP68 rounds. They're rifled and will break glass at over 90ft away. They have actually caused death multiple times.
@@Studiotek thanks for the info!..you can use those rounds in the Byrna?
@@dl5014 you can shoot the Grimburg JUL through the Byrna, but to shoot the HP68, I think you need a rifled barrel like the First Strike FSC (which has interchangeable barrels).
Is in damaging to springs in magazine to leave kinetic balls in magazine for a long period of time? Thanks
Springs don't really lose tension or get damaged from being loose or compressed for long periods of time, they do wear out from being compressed and released over and over.
@@reprobaterenegade2594 Thanks!
So you go outside from the safety of your home to confront someone over property damage and attempt to prevent his leaving, giving half a dozen verbal commands, then after drawing his attention, shoot half a dozen jalapeños balls at him that made him cough.
And byrna considers this good publicity.
What should he have done? The dude was drunk he wasn't in his right mind shooting him would have been Overkill but if that guy had gone at him for just even telling him to stop screwing around it could have gotten really bad. This is sort of that Middle road most people can now take that they probably couldn't before.
@@frankrecinos7158 He should have have called the police and stayed inside. He knew where the perp lived. Suppose the perp had a real gun? Different story. Will the perp look for revenge now?
Seems like avoidance was also a possibility here. Confrontation can escalate a situation. Just my opinion.
“You need to stay here, the police wanna talk to you” yeah okay buddy cause we ALL finna listen to that 🙄
I would love to see the police report.
What would happen if a person of color did what you did??? Would the cops say self-defense????
I’m glad that no one was seriously injured BUT, there was absolutely no reason to confront the drunk on a tractor. Be ready to defend yourself? YES! Be a good witness to what the drunk man was doing? YES! Confronting that person (and ordering him to stay)? NO!!! That was a stupid thing to do! Life is not a movie and, you could have gotten yourself killed…and for what? A drunk guy hitting a couple of mailboxes!?! Be ready but, be smart!
Total bs, just a marketing ad
Being in the north east, for whatever reason, I still can't find a Bryna video where folks are discharging their Byrna rounds at someone with a thick jacket.
I seen one last night. Dude put on a black leather jacket. This crap bounced off him like ping pong balls... The money for this crap is a joke...

It's always better to HAVE it and Not need it than to need it and Not have it, isn't that right? Smart money would agree. Lmao💯💯😁😁👍👍
Go make someone and offer they can't understand....
And with very little liability combined with people carrying them all over they really just want to use it
either way, seems like a legitimate use, and a reliable self defence tool
❤ it cost nothing to mind your own business! 😂
Can we trust that drunk tractor man was no longer a danger to others or himself? He had already damaged other people's property. All the OP did was ask him to stay here because the police wanted to talk to him.
In Canada, they would have arrested you for defending yourself!
That's why you get rid of that dictator Trudeau. Feed him to the sharks. 💯💯💯
Sad.
Thats because U are in the States. Try that in other place, with other police and other government ! Lawyers and prosecutors...apart.
i dont feel like hes telling the truth he skipped the whole middle part of the story and went straight to saying "a little while after that he started running towards me" how we know he wasnt the one being aggresive just so he can tic the guy off just so he can use his byrna
Why don't you explain what a Burna is? Otherwise, this is totally out of context.
Byrna is a non-lethal weapon. Basically shoots balls of pepper spray that pop.

@@Drizo41 Because I enjoy hearing and am not fond of killing people.
@@shellhalvesinthesea700 no one is found of killing people but when some one comes after my live I’m not pulling my bryna
@@Drizo41 I would just for a couple of reasons. I have had to use a firearm indoors without earpro. As soon as you pull that shot, you are disoriented and I threw up and could not stand. I will use any method to try to survive the attack but my first choice will NOT be a firearm again. I have several options for not harming myself in the process of defending myself. So a Byrna is a good option as a first resort and the firearm being the absolute last resort. The most ironic part is the firearm was loaded with #6 birdshot that I had tubed from using the previous day. So not only was I hurt more than he was but just being hit with birdshot was enough to stop the attack so it was little more effective than being hit with a kinetic projectile. I have 30 percent hearing in one ear and less than that in the other. I cannot drive anymore because my balance is off and on top of that anytime you have to fire a weapon at someone you get arrested and I had to spend lots of money in my defense. yeah I would use a byrna.
