58 years old in 2021. Born in 1963. 18 years old 1981. Said he was 18, 19, 20, years old in special forces. Wearing an Army Ranger hat. Possibly served sometime between 1980-1985? His wife is an attorney, but she uses the word "used-ing". This man is a liar.
He was a Special Forces Ranger who ended many lives serving during the violent wars of the 1980's. He's also so awesome that he got to become special forces and ranger at the same time at 18 without reaching E5 first.
My only concern is - how often will the gas cylinder seal leak in the Byrna. I know with most CO2 guns I've had in the past was a total letdown because within a month or so - the seal would leak and I wasted money on replacements. It would suck if I were to need to pull it on someone to defend myself and it not have enough gas to even sputter.
@RCHobbyGuy92 For pepper balls all you have to do is lower the velocity on the FSC (something you cannot do with the Byrna) just like the pepper ball brand launcher the police use there 99% the same launcher (FSC and Pepper ball) and they shoot pepper balls just fine. I own the Byrna HD XL, Byrna SD and First strike FSC and in all honesty my Byrna launchers sit on my desk now my go to is the FSC but I'm not shooting pepper rounds because I live in California. I love my Byrna launchers don't get me wrong but if someone is breaking into my house or if I need something to defend myself in public I'm shooting 30 to 40 joules at someone not 12 joules max. Ill agree about the quick pierce system being better I love that about my Byrna but with practice turning the knob on the FSC doesn't cost me anytime. Also were not fanboys we just like power and that's something Byrna is lacking plus there are way more Byrna fanboys than FSC and you know im right.
@RCHobbyGuy92 I think it all boils down to where you live. I agree the Byrna is good for pepperballs, but if you lived in CA or some other state that doesn't allow those, I'm thinking your choice of defence launcher would change, or should change. Sounds like we have the best defence launcher decisions for where we live.
@RCHobbyGuy92 oh I agree. Moved to LA from PA in '78 to perdue my musical goals, best thing I ever did. It was a much better place back then. Now, not so much. I lived in TX from '62 to '64, I was young and loved it. Who knows, maybe I'll make it back there some day. I would rather be there.
Pepperball Lifelite Mobil flashlight launcher is safer for people who don't like firearm looking self defense weapons. You can use the flashlight to identify an attacker. When you turn it from safe to fire the laser comes on. Pierces cartridge with the push of button. Cost a fraction of the Byrna. And over 10 years of proven reliable technology from Pepperball.

@@angelotorres9416 You don't know what you are talking about. Ranger Regiment IS absolutely Army Special Forces. Green Berets are also Special Forces. You are neither a Ranger by Tab (Ranger School) or Ranger by Scroll (Ranger Regiment) or you would know this.
@Byrna if you could run this by your legal department, but could you do a state by state overview and if needed some large cities that might conflict with state laws on carrying a Byrna. What his wife said is 100% true I myself own a Byrna and my ability to filter through codes and laws etc is not great honestly at this point I'm ready if not eager for the police to pull me over so I could ask them about it and show them that card that came with my Byrna. you could still tack on disclaimer but this info kept me on the fence to my purchase and it is 100% reason why I've not bought another for a family member who has kids but not a fan of guns in the house. Also with real guns if you keep it locked and loaded over time is can cause damage to spring is there anything like that to worry about having a round at the ready loaded in my Byrna
Seems that this couple has issues that have nothing to do with protecting and defending yourself and love ones from threats and mayhem... They are More worried about the consequences of defending themselves rather than doing the right thing 🤔🙄.... This incident worked out good this time, what about the next time?🤔... If they are Only worried about the consequences of defending yourself, then maybe you should move to another State,a Red State... But I suspect that there are mental issues going on here as well, mainly that the wife seems to be making the choices allowed here may be the real issue... Sorry.... It is what it is seems evident 🤔😒

12 gauge works too
less lethal rubber buckshot or slugs
@commiesnzombies why less lethal when people are breaking into your house ? 😂
Awesome
58 years old ? just curious, where and when this gentleman served ? He'd be too young for Vietnam !

Put your HD back in the case, go down to your local police station and have a polite conversation. I sure they will be happy to help you.
@@mr356porsch That’s a really good idea. They might also be able to advise you on the best way to carry or conceal it when leaving your home.
A Byrne if reliable should be considered. But I recommend also having real guns in the event that the Byrne proves not antiquate.
