I appreciate the format too with the tierlist website in the corner and gameplay footage as the main focus. It feels like that extra bit of effort and it just adds more to the video. I honestly get kind of bored seeing other people make tier lists and it’s just a recording of the tier list website. Honestly it’s also the biggest reason I subbed. You guys do a stellar job and I just appreciate the content coming out so often because it keeps me up to date. Also being able to compare survival to bm and marks when you do the ranger tier lists is very helpful. Edit: omg I wasn’t subbed my bad I thought I was. Anyway how I am whoops. You guys rock.
they have announced what they want with breath and addressed it they like breath of sindragosa however they dont like the way it works currently their goal is to have it last 30-40 seconds all the time and tune the build for that so that you can min max it without encouraging the dgen behavior
Sometimes I think Blizzard is looking to much at warrior specs individually instead of the class as a whole. Warrior already has a GCD locked spec with Fury (that is really fun to play) but Arms is for the people who like the slow APM Hard hitting spells. Take some inspiration from the reactions in play style of arms in the current CATA classic and legion styles. It feels good to optimize few and big impact spells. Big MS and whirlwinds with heroic strike and cleave to optimize your rage management.
Why not for feral a cd when you go bear for big damage or a bigger cat form etc like we used to have the armoured cat forms or saying it warlords when we could turn into the 2 legged cat form
Going from someone who has mained a Mage since 08, with only a few exceptions (all ranged), I built a Ret Paly to try out at the end of DF and took a new one into Remix. OMG, I LOVE bashing things in the face. I'll be maining that RP when the pre-patch starts (I hope, or I'll take another of mine through that). I will still have my mage and my new beastmaster hunter, but for pure fun and high numbers, my Ret Paly is the tops.
Unholy does have a non-diseases playstyle, and I usually out DPS the diseases with it. It's a wounds build, which is a lot more fun, and can ramp up in damage to above practically anything else.
If you want the game to feel like you have activated cheats and are on easy mode, play Ret Paladin. Every other spec just feels weaker and requires you to put in more effort to get the same results. Immunity, infinite healing, every ability has a 20+ yard range, 30 second burst cooldown means you never have to think about when to use or save them, and extreme passive tankiness. On top of that, you have a lot of room for skill expression with your ability to use the insane group utility with Lay on Hands, BoP, Freedom, Sac, and throwing off heals on part members. You will suceed at any level of content with ease.

But that is not what I mean it is things like claiming Ret has infinite healing that is just simply not true. First off all Mana is a thing when you start to try to heal as ret. Secondly WoG costs holy power for every WoG you cast you spend 3 holy power that you can Never get back. There is a set amount over the course of a fight or a dungeon of holy power you will have total. 3 holy power is effectivly 3gcds spent of damage you are losing to do that healing. It is not like shadow priest VE where you just continue to deal damage and then you just heal at the same time. (Shaman and druid also does this) Then you talk about the group utility BoP is a 5min cooldown on 1 target that is a physical damage only this is something like 1 fight an expansion in raid where it is good and often it is for the bleed removal and there you now have evoker with just a better version. Sac requires 2 talent points to be great. But you redirect damage with sac you do not remove it there are other classes abilities that just straight up remove it. Mage even has 20% shield that can be a 30% damage reduction for 5 people if it is an arcane mage. Freedom is not worth talking about yeah it is nice bonus to have but most classes have some form of freedom ability.

WoG is the easiest and most reliable off heal of any dps spec in the game that's why I called it infinite. Obviously you need to spend Holy Power but because it's easy to generate that due to your range you can dodge literally every mechanic while spam healing the group (if you wanted) duh it's a dps loss but the option is there that no other spec has the ability to do. You literally cannot die on Ret when played correctly, and even if you do not play correctly you are one of the most passively tanky dps specs so it will take you longer to die than others. That is my point. Also no idea what you're on about with the utility, they are all valuable and useful regardless of if other specs have them or not. Btw ret can also battle res I forgot to include that. Literal M+ carry God spec
Unholy will always play abomination when using Rider of the Apocalypse because of the cool down, they will always be able to have the 4 horsemen out a lot quicker than they would verse a 3 minute Army

The KC weaving on SV is the reason it's S tier. Everything feels so good. They just need to tweak the hero tallents a little more and it would be perfect... the only BIG exception is they still need to fix Mongoose Fury. Both version of it that have been on the beta (the original, the rework and then reverted back to the original) have been terrible. But you can entirely ignore it in AOE and mostly ignore it in ST so, eh. Overall, great time to be an SV main.
I think I might switch over to WW monk from my Havoc DH. Unless blizzard buffs fel scared in the next few weeks because I'm not in love with the Reaver playstyle.
As a surv main that started in SL, I never knew anything better, then I started playing frost dk (boy can I really pick them huh lmao), then boomie, but at long last, surv on top of any tier list, I can't wait to use that new coord assault with other tree restructuring (as it needed a tree restructure literally all of DF, ST and AoE nodes on the wrong sides). I'm not even mad about that mongoose fury change being reverted, because as changed it was entirely too op and knew it was going to mean nerfs elsewhere once it started blowing past other specs in ST, it already was fine, a surv is only spamming mongoose bite in single target, so really don't need to use other things within that 15 sec buff, save for the odd serp sting or bomb. What would you say Flame is the goto hero subspec for surv for war within based off your playing?
I don't main arms, just VERY casually alt it. I'm always sad playing arms because they don't ever seen to get to keep anything on their own. Now fury is getting bladestorm too =(
Obviously this is all subjective, but putting sub and outlaw above Assa rogue is wild, considering assa has the best spec tree of the 3. Maybe hero talents play more of a roll than im assuming
i've really stepped away from retail to focus on other stuff. I was hopeful seeing you finally put up a melee list but man... Assa being meh hurts. feels like its always 3rd string for rogue. I think at this point I may just main swap instead of hold out hope for Assa.
I’d swap Fury and Ret. Ret is a great spec in terms of utility and damage, but I think it’s boring to play, whereas Fury, especially in WW, is a blast. The rogue specs all need to be reworked as the average WoW player isn’t going to bother with the complex keybinds needed to play them, including outlaw. Just swapping from ST to AOE as a rogue can significantly change keybinds in a way that no other class or spec experiences because of stealth skills. I like Outlaw and Assassination, but whenever I play them I mourn for any new player who rolled it first because they’re not going to have a good time. I think Feral should be A Tier and it is a fun and refined spec.
Why cant blizz just make frosts remorseless winter make oblit cleave and everytime you cast oblit it extends remorseless by like 1 second. Dnd feels so bad to press
Big agree about Arms, I played it all throughout DF and despite its problems, it was a ton of fun throughout. Playing it on the beta is just depressing, the spec already wasn't hard and they dumbed it down even more. It is just so mind numbingly boring now, I'm jumping ship to a hunter or mage.
Shaman had been my main for most of my WoW playing career, but I finally gave up on it due to no love from the devs. Elemental can be fun, but it's way to complicated. Resto is good, but it never seems to be meta or strong. Enhancement is the funniest of the three, but it seems to always underperform. Why the heck didn't they just make Flurry baseline as well? That would free up a point for more damage or utility.
I've been an Arms player since vanilla and this is the first expansion where I might actually switch mains. The hero talents are an absolute snorefest and barely do anything to change much of the gameplay that has so desperately needed change for a long time.
Enhancement IS crap. It's like elemental attacks instead of enhancing your weapon attacks. Not fun, not powerful... it's the Kamala Harris of specs, flashy, sounds good when you have not had experience with it, but terrible in practice. 😂
The last time Enhsham was really fun was in wod , I don't like having to use elem abilities , it's not a melee spec it's weird caster spec I Don't like it that much , is it fun ? meh , Is it good ? meh , is it a weird version of Elem ? yes . But since WOD I've finally tested DK and I'm now an Unholy dk main since legion and the new changes are awsome , god I love DKs
Wait, did you say we don't have to take Defile anymore for Unholy? Won't that mess with our cleave? I just don't like the move because tanks often move mobs out of the area and the visual is terrible for seeing swirlys on the ground
Would love to say Monk... but if u play it in the beta, it feels awful outside of cds and procs... esp shadopan feels like the worst hero talent right now.. the sync is so off.. the tracking and playing around feels so bad... but in generell, ur starve energy so hard... even if u take all chi generator und energy talents... u starve and stay there with nothing to press... and there is veraity to choose talents other than those, cause its not playable... fells very bad. Eigher reduce the cost of tigerpalm by 10-15 or double the energy gain...
I love your lists, but would appreciate a recap at the end of the video. I have difficulty recognizing spec icons, even having played for a number of years, and would like a reminder of which is which at the end.
Seriously not having played the beta is hard to make up my mind. I like plate class however everyone seem to agree that warrior is kind of boring and ret is super fun. However DK some say is shit some say is fun. I'll probably start with Ret if anything just come I worked a lot to unlock all corrupted ashbrringer tints.
U were too kind with ENH. Sure stormbringer is good but would benefit a lot from flurry, which they hide behind a talent that build doesnt need. And totemic is just messed up. Also, dont u think stormbringer spending strategy hurts doom winds as a cd?

A little warning to all that consider to play Unholy DK. We still have talent point passives/buttons that are borderline not taken because they are flawed in design, we are also still over bloated with 2 talent points taking away any meaningful choices you can make when talenting. Gargoyle is a flawed design now, Decomposition suffers the same way Improved Death Coil does on live were you only get half the benefit when putting a second talent point in to it, Unholy Aura is still a 8 yard 20% pet damage buff leaving it in a place we just don't feel like we got value for investing 2 talent points in to it, Vile Contagion is still bad and just annoys me to no end, Pestilence has no business being a talent passive in the talent tree, Ruptured Viscera lacks the omph it needs to be a decent talent passive, i recommend reading the EU Death Knight/Beta Forum some players there has made some great suggestions to work around that passive. so in summary Unholy DK is okish, better than Dragonflight, but it has a long way to be even remotely fun to play, we are still wasting our time having to talent in to way to many passive damage modifiers in our last part of the talent row over having play style changing talent choices.
idk about that unholy dk is fun af to me currently i do pretty insane dps on a 2 minute cd with big pulls like 3 million.. on live..that is fun to me and being able to attack at range after setting up is really nice too
I have always loved all the druid specks but as always feral feels like a slower decaff rouge but im realy sad we have nothing cool looking every class is exploding with amazing looking abilitys and we have nothing that looks cool and feel a bit more....
My problem with arms is ... too many buttons that do "kinda the same but slightly different in rage to damage value". It's boring, bloated and repetitive. Not even 20% of the rotation feels fun to press.
My 2 mains for tww are ww monk & sv hunter. Damn the rework is just to good ❤ the only thing i dont like is exemple harm as passiv :/ but should the rework from enhancer not be damn good and unholy again no wound build have i won't switch and take this 2 😊

Havoc sucks because you are forced into fell rush builds in aoe, outlaw sucks because its just horrible plagued with lots of buttons maintenance buffs you are forced to track it or you just cant play, warrior losing annihilator, man blizzard reducing my enjoyment of this game with this patch for real, I had high hopes for a lot of fixes but looks like devs are adamant about not taking notes about successful Ret paladin rework, playing dps is blasting whenever you want, some complexity is good but specs like outlaw are made over complex for no good reason, they are plagued with boring button bloats
I think it’s fine for specs like outlaw to exist. It’s ok for some complicated specs to exist, not everyone has to play them and there’s plenty of accessible and strong options outside of them
Druid of the claw feels like a defense swap for pvp like tou would as a warr but it's sucks and the other hero talents is useless. You just play and get a free new bleed lol
Ret is the weirdest thing! It’s just like you said for me, it’s fun/flashy, but it’s still somehow bland. Speaking as someone who only mained ret for DF.. as a casual player, I’m probably going survival hunter and resto Druid in TWW, although monk is an option still.
Arms is a joke and has been ever since Colossus Smash was put into it, I hate how support-focused it is. Arms should be THE "ooga booga" spec in WoW, as simplistic as it gets, just bonk on head

Its always been "the one we dont talk about" for a reason and its the one they put about 10-15 minutes of developer resources per year into it as an elaborate inside joke to laugh at people actually playing it. If you have severe motor or joint problems and can only hit 8 buttons a minute... actually, you'll still be frustrated at how long you have to sit around with nothing to do. Almost certainly the worst spec in the game. I dont know why anyone would play it, does a warrior having a 3 button rotation frighten you with its complexity?

WW Monk has been most fun for me since Legion. Been looking at Monk or Pally main (playing multiple roles).
Been a shaman longer than Alliance have been and I have to say it’s a whole lot of fun atm on beta.

I would like M.B. to go back to being a buff you can maintain. I though that was pretty neat.

I like Outlaw and Assassination, but whenever I play them I mourn for any new player who rolled it first because they’re not going to have a good time. I think Feral should be A Tier and it is a fun and refined spec.
I wish they would bring back hemo and garrote on the Sword, mace, axe spec Rogue.

Big agree about Arms, I played it all throughout DF and despite its problems, it was a ton of fun throughout. Playing it on the beta is just depressing, the spec already wasn't hard and they dumbed it down even more. It is just so mind numbingly boring now, I'm jumping ship to a hunter or mage.

Shaman had been my main for most of my WoW playing career, but I finally gave up on it due to no love from the devs. Elemental can be fun, but it's way to complicated. Resto is good, but it never seems to be meta or strong. Enhancement is the funniest of the three, but it seems to always underperform. Why the heck didn't they just make Flurry baseline as well? That would free up a point for more damage or utility.

I've been an Arms player since vanilla and this is the first expansion where I might actually switch mains.
The hero talents are an absolute snorefest and barely do anything to change much of the gameplay that has so desperately needed change for a long time.
Sticking to the ret pally. Fun and simple. Just like me.
Enhancement IS crap. It's like elemental attacks instead of enhancing your weapon attacks. Not fun, not powerful... it's the Kamala Harris of specs, flashy, sounds good when you have not had experience with it, but terrible in practice. 😂

As one of 12 survival hunter I'm glad we gor a rework . But yohr rigjrbthe herontalents seem to favor bm or mm. We should have gotten black arrow
Sentinel is still the best hero talent, so BM is really the loser of the hunter specs in that area
Shadowpan was our chance at stealth monks, and they missed it. Sad monk main is sad.

Wait, did you say we don't have to take Defile anymore for Unholy? Won't that mess with our cleave? I just don't like the move because tanks often move mobs out of the area and the visual is terrible for seeing swirlys on the ground
Defile replaces DnD, you still have cleave with DnD even without Defile
Would love to say Monk... but if u play it in the beta, it feels awful outside of cds and procs... esp shadopan feels like the worst hero talent right now.. the sync is so off.. the tracking and playing around feels so bad... but in generell, ur starve energy so hard... even if u take all chi generator und energy talents... u starve and stay there with nothing to press... and there is veraity to choose talents other than those, cause its not playable... fells very bad. Eigher reduce the cost of tigerpalm by 10-15 or double the energy gain...

Seriously not having played the beta is hard to make up my mind. I like plate class however everyone seem to agree that warrior is kind of boring and ret is super fun. However DK some say is shit some say is fun. I'll probably start with Ret if anything just come I worked a lot to unlock all corrupted ashbrringer tints.
U were too kind with ENH. Sure stormbringer is good but would benefit a lot from flurry, which they hide behind a talent that build doesnt need. And totemic is just messed up. Also, dont u think stormbringer spending strategy hurts doom winds as a cd?

A little warning to all that consider to play Unholy DK.
We still have talent point passives/buttons that are borderline not taken because they are flawed in design, we are also still over bloated with 2 talent points taking away any meaningful choices you can make when talenting. Gargoyle is a flawed design now, Decomposition suffers the same way Improved Death Coil does on live were you only get half the benefit when putting a second talent point in to it, Unholy Aura is still a 8 yard 20% pet damage buff leaving it in a place we just don't feel like we got value for investing 2 talent points in to it, Vile Contagion is still bad and just annoys me to no end, Pestilence has no business being a talent passive in the talent tree, Ruptured Viscera lacks the omph it needs to be a decent talent passive, i recommend reading the EU Death Knight/Beta Forum some players there has made some great suggestions to work around that passive.
so in summary Unholy DK is okish, better than Dragonflight, but it has a long way to be even remotely fun to play, we are still wasting our time having to talent in to way to many passive damage modifiers in our last part of the talent row over having play style changing talent choices.
idk about that unholy dk is fun af to me currently i do pretty insane dps on a 2 minute cd with big pulls like 3 million.. on live..that is fun to me and being able to attack at range after setting up is really nice too

I have always loved all the druid specks but as always feral feels like a slower decaff rouge but im realy sad we have nothing cool looking every class is exploding with amazing looking abilitys and we have nothing that looks cool and feel a bit more....

My problem with arms is ... too many buttons that do "kinda the same but slightly different in rage to damage value". It's boring, bloated and repetitive. Not even 20% of the rotation feels fun to press.
Wanted to focus on my warrior in TWW ... seems like I just play Ret.

My 2 mains for tww are ww monk & sv hunter. Damn the rework is just to good ❤ the only thing i dont like is exemple harm as passiv :/ but should the rework from enhancer not be damn good and unholy again no wound build have i won't switch and take this 2 😊
You're playing Unholy VERY wrong in the beta. Best builds for M+ allow for both wounds and disease at the same time.

I love demon hunter but i can play it because i hate vengeful retreat it completely makes the class feel terrible imo

It's not a weakaura, it's the personal resource display. You can find it in the options, just search for resource

Havoc sucks because you are forced into fell rush builds in aoe, outlaw sucks because its just horrible plagued with lots of buttons maintenance buffs you are forced to track it or you just cant play, warrior losing annihilator, man blizzard reducing my enjoyment of this game with this patch for real, I had high hopes for a lot of fixes but looks like devs are adamant about not taking notes about successful Ret paladin rework, playing dps is blasting whenever you want, some complexity is good but specs like outlaw are made over complex for no good reason, they are plagued with boring button bloats
I think it’s fine for specs like outlaw to exist. It’s ok for some complicated specs to exist, not everyone has to play them and there’s plenty of accessible and strong options outside of them

Druid of the claw feels like a defense swap for pvp like tou would as a warr but it's sucks and the other hero talents is useless. You just play and get a free new bleed lol

Feral will never be balanced around bleeds, the devs do not know how to make dots work. Also ferals never know what they actually want!
Ret is the weirdest thing! It’s just like you said for me, it’s fun/flashy, but it’s still somehow bland. Speaking as someone who only mained ret for DF.. as a casual player, I’m probably going survival hunter and resto Druid in TWW, although monk is an option still.

The worst DK spec by a country mile. Its always been "the one we dont talk about" for a reason and its the one they put about 10-15 minutes of developer resources per year into it as an elaborate inside joke to laugh at people actually playing it. Its a really good spec for equality though. If you have severe motor or joint problems and can only hit 8 buttons a minute... actually, you'll still be frustrated at how long you have to sit around with nothing to do. Almost certainly the worst spec in the game. I dont know why anyone would play it, does a warrior having a 3 button rotation frighten you with its complexity?
