Nice one mate enjoyed that, what a difference those wheels made on your van 👍 we were in keswick last week on the edge of derwent water in the caravan but had to come home a day early as the site flooded 🙈🙈 been watching your kayak vids in scotland absolutely epic pal , dont comment a lot as normally watching on TV but always give a thumbs 👍
Cheers Mick I really appreciate it buddy. Yeah I’m super chuffed with how the wheels look, very happy. Hopefully we can get better weather soon, I love the lakes even in the rain but it’s a real shame when you can’t see the fells because of all the low level cloud. Thanks for watching Mick I really appreciate the 👍🏻 and sub 😁
I tried whinging to a nearby sheep but it looked me right in the eyes, shook its head and then simply walked off a nearby cliff. 😔 I have that effect on people and animals 😂
Thinking about getting one of those jetboils, probably use it when I'm fishing. Like you say, a bit bulky for camping. Some great footage Mike thanks for sharing :)
Why did you keep putting your already boiled water back onto that 'leaning toward your nutts, very unstable burner?' You 'do' know that boiled man tackle would make those leg cramps feel like a walk in the park 🤣
I enjoyed that, I am heading to Norfolk this weekend for some Birthday MTB exploring, too muddy here in Yorkshire,. If you look on an auction site for VW plastic/valet/surf key or similar you can get a plastic key blank with a stout ring to wear around your neck or wherever, i clip mine on the in built pocket carabiner in my helly hansen rain jacket. and leave the proper key nice and dry in the under passenger seat safe, or if 2 of us go out, take a key each. The plastic key will not start the van but it opens the doors, and my thinking is if i loose it i can break into my van and retrieve the real key at least then i am in the van and safe, and a side window is less £'s and agro than a new key programming. I am pretty sure i have seen someone selling them classed as surf keys and they will cut them to match a photo of your original key so you do not have to bother getting it cut, The other thing i have seen done is leave the key in a key safe attached to vehicle,( behind rear light cover on tailgate ones). Did you fit a diesel heater yet, i can not remember? they are a real game changer i have done many if you want to pick my brains. DTE TV youtube channel fitted a nice small one under a transporter drivers seat last week too. Ed
Hi Ed, fantastic idea, thanks for all the info I’ll definitely check it out 😊 I wasn’t originally going to bother with a diesel heater because I’m usually in a tent anyway but lately I’ve been thinking of getting one installed so I can take my daughter away throughout the year comfortably without worrying about her getting cold. It may be a little project for Autumn time.
@@smoggyinthewild I had mine on yesterday, the dogs were shivering after going in the river. I fitted an all in one type ( fuel tank built in ) in my friends mobile mechanic transit, with a long turret plate we knocked up to go through the floor ( the combustion air in and exhaust and all joints are now effectively below the van floor) it took us about 2 hours to fit. It has been used a lot since autumn no probs running off a 20ah lithium powerpack thingy that he charges from 12v while driving or at home. Just needs about a 4 inch hole in the floor. Ed.
@@smoggyinthewild my insurance is for a modified vehicle with all the modifications listed and agreed value. So they are aware of it. They mount to the same bracket holes VW use for the factory option. Not too convinced they would be rite bothered, its always a tale of a friend of a friend who knew someone who's aunt bought a toilet brush of the son of a lady who's friends brother's insurance did not pay out. Whereas in actual fact they sort the claims by phone and photograph these days.
@EdTurner. 😂 yeah you make a good point…. Definitely something I’ll be doing end of summer I think. It’ll be great having the option to turn up the heat on the colder nights
Tentandearth camping restores electromagnetic balance and sorts sciatica!
Always good content, nice 1.
Thanks buddy 😊

Hahaha I do apologise Patricia 😂 Very entertaining as always. Camp looked canny despite the excrutiating pain and lack of people to whinge to!

Shame about the weather but good to get out. Anymore work done to the van? Looked mint mate.
Cheers Andy, it’s getting there now. Just a few more bits and bobs to do and it’ll be exactly how I want it. Super cosy on that first night tho 😁

@EdTurner. Sounds awesome, did you mention it to your insurance? If so do they need a certificate of inspection or anything?

Billy how do you know I don’t have a full film crew following me around? 😂
