It’s neat to see the Helium, that normally can be found for under $100.. up against something as good as a Visp.

Nice comparison. The OR helium does come with the pitzip option and is called OR helium HD. If that future would be a dealbreaker for someone looking for a rainjacket.

      good option
my guess is it would cost less than Either Zpacks or Enlightened Equipment options

I’d add another pro to the EE Visp, it’s made in the USA (hence the cost). I just wish mine had pockets :(

It's nice seeing the differences in the 2 jackets but saying something keeps you dry and seeing that it does is totally different. A few years ago I watched a TH-cam video about Nick's Boots. As the guy set in the middle of his floor in ( sock feet) comparing Nick's to White's giving pros/cons of each boot, and saying he's owned both pairs for 5 years plus. I paused the video while he was showing the bottom of the Nick's, took a screen shot and zoomed in to the perfectly white straight from the factory threads. The guy was a lier and probably paid to lie. Some reviews on TH-cam are particularly believable but most I take with a grain of salt .

I try to always include videos of previous hikes where Ive used the gears over the years either day, week, or longer thru hikes. Will be putting gear thru the ringed next year thru hiking the AT.
