Thank you for a well done presentation. I was aware of the fact of the attack but not the details. A few more diagrams for those not familiar with Sydney harbor nor the references to the landmarks would be helpful for any future endeavors. I will be watching the rest of the series in turn.
AUSTRALIA : The Far East Front: Japanese Submarines Attack Sydney (1942) - TH-cam I liked the comments in this clip about merchant shipping prior had free access to Sydney harbour prior to the war.
Good evening I am looking for someone who could point me in the right direction I grew up on a navy vessel that was built as a fuel / water carrier during the war and later on commissioned to patrol Sydney harbour to make it short it was in a re enactment movie called warrior's of the deep and was wondering if some how could give me more history about it I still have her navel flag
Sounds like the audio is compressed, which makes the background noise louder, and it wasn't in a proper studio, so there's a lot of reverberation in the room. Lavalier microphones would have improved the sound also. Having said all that, it's clear and understandable.
Thoroughly enjoying your podcasts. Download them onto my phone and then listen to them on the train as I travel to work. 👍👍
Just wanted to say thank you for producing this series as a non Australian naval history aficionado!
Mark felton got me to this
Thank you for this video. Very useful information and lots of great details.
Thanks cheapchippy - The Admiralty charts were navigational charts produced the Royal Navy Hydrographic Service.
Enjoyed your pod cast. Thanks. Can you please elaborate on the term 'admiralty charts ' of the harbour [20:34]?
