ANOTHER DEALER GONE? The Caravan Company closes its NORTHAMPTONSHIRE site - with IMMEDIATE EFFECT!

With immediate effect the Finedon, Northamptonshire site has closed! The site is cleared out and all caravans pretty much gone, From a dealer that started in Leicester and expanded they continue now with a solo site in Dorset.

Thank you for tuning in to the travels of the Two Guys, Two Dogs, Four Wheels. We are by no means experts or professional You Tubers but we have a passion for our motorhome and travels in the UK and Europe. We come from a family background of caravan holidays from a static in the 70’s and 80’s in Ingoldmells to tourers for over 30 years with Andy’s parents and Jamie’s Grandparents, and our own caravans before switching to motorhomes.
We thank you for every view, like and subscribe so if you have not done this on our videos it would be most welcome. We have added some collections in the ‘Playlists’ of videos from tours we have done - we hope you find those useful too. Feedback always welcome (as described not yet in professional league).
We aspire to release at least a video each week, but this will depend on work commitments and frequency of our trips. We have no specific theme but most really are about our motorhome life, but many are site reviews and the old phrase ‘arriving at’ and recently we are adding in some day visits and motorhome and caravan dealer visits/reviews of caravans and motorhomes.

We found out today that GT Towing in Hatfield Hertfordshire will no longer be selling caravans as of the end of August. We have purchased our last 5 caravans from them and was very happy with their service.
Another dealer going such a shame.

Sad, but we have seen this before within the caravan retail sector. It’s fascinating how some caravan outlets cannot seem to tolerate the seemingly endless ebbs and flows but this most recent boom was exceptional so we should expect some fallout. 🙂

I know… it does seem that way. At this rate not sure what dealers we are going to have left near us. It feels like the industry is echoing the car dealers and thier franchises where lots of smaller and independents are gone - take Ford and Stellantis where the model now prefers less but larger regionalised dealers. @@thetrackertravels The isles are amazing. Just experienced our first wet afternoon and evening 🙂 I hope the world doesn’t turn to total online supply. We as humans like to interact with other humans. All we see these days is the big corporations and banks removing the human element of business. Where is the fun in pressing buttons on a screen and buying from pictures? I like to touch and test drive large purchases. Call me “old school” 🤷🏼‍♂️😃

Like everything right now prices have gone up… current market. Prices have settled somewhat for caravans though.

Particular brands or issues you are aware of? What is the specifics here? It’s not easy to make it a sweeping statement. There are different issues and challenges with different brands, pricing is in relevelling and adjusting phase. Everything has gone up in price over the last few years, cars, houses, food etc..
