- In the opening round of the 2024 BMW Championship, Hideki Matsuyama cards a 5-under 67 and trails leader Keegan Bradley by one shot heading into Friday.

The PGA TOUR heads west for the second leg of the 2024 Playoffs, as Castle Pines Golf Club hosts the BMW Championship. The event returns to Colorado for the first time since 2014. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler makes his tournament debut on the Jack Nicklaus designed course at Castle Pines. The Texan won at Jack’s Place, the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday, earlier this season in Ohio. He claimed fourth place last week in Memphis. Rory McIlroy is also in the field this week. The three-time FedExCup Champion looks to bounce back after finishing 9-over and second-to-last on the leaderboard last week at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. The defending FedExCup Playoffs Champion and BMW Championship winner Viktor Hovland claimed T2 at FedEx St. Jude, which was his first top-10 since finishing third at the PGA Championship. He looks to join Patrick Cantlay as back-to-back winners at the BMW Championship. Others to look out for are Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Hideki Matsuyama and Ludvig Åberg.

Hideki is under 300 yards on average , he’s someone in the 100s in ranking on tour …

松山以外の日本人プロの皆さん、優勝できなくてもいいので、アメリカツアーに参戦出来るくらいの実力いや意気込みだけでも見せてください。松山がいなくなったら、目も当てられない。ゴルフファンの皆様も、誹謗中傷はもちろんダメだが、叱咤激励は必要だと思いますよ。もちろん、日本人が活躍してくれることを祈ってのコメントです。
来年に日本人プレイヤーが躍動するのではないかと思います。松山プロに続いてシードは確保した久常プロ、DPワールドTOURで勝った、星野プロ、中島プロ、また、コンフェリーツアーで勝った大西プロも参戦するかもしれない
そこそこ韓国勢と遜色ないレベルになってくるのではと期待しています。10月の習志野のZOZOが楽しみでしかたがないです👍

日本でのゴルフは幼少期から始めれるような環境ではないですからね。
日本の男子プロは試合数も減ってますし、兼業でプロをやれるスポーツではないですしね。
気軽に安く出来るインドアゴルフがもっと発展していけば未来はあるでしょうけど。
子供のころからゴルフ学べて、続けられるような環境に巡り合えたらラッキー
その僅かな人数から世界でトップを競える選手が生まれるのは奇跡に近いでしょうね
