This brought back memories of the things I had as a small kid. Sure the 90s werent nearly as neat as the years before but I still loved playing with things that made you use your imagination or a friend, unlike so many things today that take the u out of fun

No Green Ghost game? You only play it at night - hold its board up to the ceiling light - to play the game you then turn off the lights, because the game board would GLOW in the dark - I can't remember, were there 3, or 4 "graves" you reach into? One had "spider webs" in it (feathers), another had "snakes" in it ( rubber bands) and the other had "bones" in it ( small plastic pieces) - so yeah the board had ...3 graves? You open each one with a big, black key...
Hadn't played it in a long time, its board got cracked ...

I bought my brother one of those water rockets when we were in our twenties (no, I'm not saying when that was.) We stood outside the garage where we worked and tried it out. It shot off vertically, so fast we missed it going and was out of sight before we could look up to follow. 'Well, that's the last we'll see of that!' We stood chatting for a bit and then started to go back in. It reappeared, crashing onto exactly the spot we'd been standing. It being a concrete surface we were sure it was now certainly destroyed. It was fine. Steve still has it somewhere. I bet it still works.

That's a great story! As I was reading it, I thought you were going to say it hit you in the head :-) I remember the distinct sound it made when it blasted off. This new model was quite a disappointment. I'll have to keep my eyes open for an original. The rubber washer may need to be replaced...or maybe not. Probably will still work as it is. Take care Mark!

The Dollar Store isn't even a dollar store anymore, it's a dollar twenty-five store.
The next generation will have 5 & 10 stores again, but it will be 5 & 10 dollar stores!

Hey Tom, I loved the wind up toys and the rockets. You're right. The fear of law suits has ruined toys. I shot off a lot of rockets with and blew up several chemistry sets. It was great fun! Thanks for the video.

    "Shafer always leaves you laughing"
I think that came from the cootie bug toy (game?).
I probably spelled Shafer wrong .

I was born in 1955, It was like you read my mind, I did not have all the toys there but I do remember the tv ads. Do you have any thoughts about the toy theme songs? Please leave your thoughts here. I look forward to seeing your next video! David from Sebring Florida USA 🇺🇸

The lawyers ruined all the "fun" toys, although in the case of "lawn darts (Jarts?)" they may have been right!
