OMG, I had these games, and more. I loved Tip IT, Operation, Don't Break the Ice, and Mousetrap best. I actually forgot Tip It ever existed until this video, lol, and then the memories all came back.
Mousetrap was another fun game with lots of parts, but good quality parts. We had a game called 'Chop Suey'. you wound up a chop suey bowl and it vibrated and rotated. The aim was to pick odd shaped items out of the bowl with chop sticks. Each item had a point value. Something easy to pick up, like a cube, was worth a small amount of points. The round ball was very hard to pick up, so it was worth a lot of points. You had to pick up the pieces, not just scoot them out of the bowl. We all got very proficient with chops sticks. I once won a bet by picking up a round ice cube out of my iced tea with chop sticks. 🤣
I see Tip It, I'm in! My cousins had a great game closet, as we did. It's funny, looking back, the cousin who would try to cheat, or was a bad loser, grew up to be a creep 😅. Between the two families we had all of these, and so many more!
A great trip down memory lane 😌😌😌!! Remember having these games as kids and all the fun our family had with them. The days of landlines, no cell phones, no cable TV and no computers or internet!!! Yes, the good old days when life was simpler and more enjoyable!! The kids today could never have this much fun. Thanks for reminding us how wonderful it was!!!!
Does anyone remember the board game Mystery Date??? I still have that game... I can't let go of it.. Me and my sister got it in the sixties for christmas.
I was very fortunate to get a Super Spirograph set years ago. It has a bonus gold colored cog in it. The pieces are still made of quality plastic like the original ones. The difference is for holding down the round piece the cog (or round disk) goes into is reusable puddy is used instead of pins. I must add that I'm 61 years old and love my Spirograph and playing classic games. 😁
I was at an antique store in Ohio several years back and I saw an original Spirograph set from the 60s. I walked away and two minutes later, I said to myself; go get it, stupid. I went back and it was gone.
I loved Tip It! I mean, I totally lost it when my brothers or sister would put a bloody Red Disc right there... just before I had to go and get a Blue Disc.... (It's alright. I'm over it now. I was 7. Still getting therapy....)
I am a sales rep in the toy business and I'm sure these games directed me to my industry. How about 'Voodoo', 'Don't Spill the Beans', 'Kerplunk', 'Rebound', 'Shenanigans' and my sister's favorite, 'Mystery Date'. I also proudly owned an original GI Joe and still have my first Matchbox Car (I think it was 1964).
My favorite was Spirograph. You could make so many visual shapes and designs. It was really cool. There was another toy they did not mention. It was called the Air Blaster gun. from the 1960's. It was shaped like a gun from outer space and when you shot it, a blast of air would come out! The toys back then were so cool and fun.
I have bins of vintage games that I found at estate sales. These sales are a wealth of game finds but get there early. EVERYBODY wants them. Good luck!
Our Barrel of Monkeys game was just like the one you have with the brown barrel and the primary colored monkeys! We more times took them out to play with them more than the actual game!
I grew up in the 60s and early 70s. My sisters and friends played for hours, all of the ones showcased here. I still have Tip It, Don’t spill the beans, Kerplunk, Trouble and Hands down that my kids played with in the 2000s
Just found your program. LOVE IT! Thank you for the great memories. Now I will be watching your others and then waiting for the next and next and next!
Tip It was one of my favorite games. I had the same tip it game as you. I think it might still be at my mom's house. I still have my spirograph set too.
- Thx. Very fun :) - As kid of the 60s, I played all the games shown, had a few, even have an original Spirograph (though not my original), but do have my original Twister (not shown in this vid). - And, to this day, as I close the local coffeeshop, I can occasionally be heard exclaiming, "I'm the sole survivor!" (though not sure if anybody get's the reference anymore these days). - Such good games; such good times! :)
THE GAME OF TROUBLE. THE BEST GAME. MY GRANDMOM USE TO CHEAT AT IT AND TOLD US AFTER YOU TURN 75 GET EXTRA CHANCE ON EACH POP. WE KNEW SHE CHEATED BUT LOVED HER TO MUCH TI SAY ANYTHING
I saw a Spirograph at a thrift store and bought it for my grandkids who were 6 and 9 and they really liked it. The only downside is keeping the stationary piece still which was frustrating at times. The "I'm the sole survivor" commercial really brought me back!
I had a tip it. My mum and I used to play together. I also had rebound and don’t spill the beans in the early 70’s. I also had an art thing called pendulart and I still have it.
My grandparents on my mother side had all of these and whole lot more of these old time games. I'm sure a lot of people out there may still have these from the were younger.
My sisters and I had Barrel of Monkeys, Tip-It and Spirograph (among many, many others). Spirograph was very cool, until the wheel slip off the teeth and ruined the design. :) I think Spirograph was my favourite though. It was like making your own string art without the string.
I loved Spirographs. The problem was when the pens ran out or were lost. The included pens had smaller ink tips than standard pens of the day. You could still use regular pens but you had to push down really hard and that would often cause the base ring to slip and ruining the pattern. Oh well, still great fun ! Love your channel and keep em coming !
Does anyone remember a game from back then called Clean Sweep? It had little plastic brooms and hundreds of different shaped pieces of plastic like bottles, banana peels, old shoes etc and plastic garbage cans and you had to sweep up the garbage pieces? Also, a game with a big wheel you cranked and it turned like a ferris wheel sort of and there were different parts of plastic robots in each of the buckets on the wheel. The object was to build a complete robot before the other players finished theirs. I don't remember the name of that game though.
Does anyone else remember "Mumblety-Peg Plus"? For my sixth birthday I got the early version with the sticker on the box advertising "Now with razor-sharp knives!" and no safety warnings; just basic instructions printed on the inside box top. Bobby "Four Fingers" Kowalski and I would play this on my front lawn all day. My mom would bring us sulfa packs and bandages. I lost interest in it after a week, so I gave it to Bobby and he played it all through college, even when he went to keggers and other alcohol-fueled parties. That's how he got his nickname.
Sorry, Mouse Trap, Barrel of Monkeys, Masterpiece, Major Matt Mason, Gumby and Pokey, Hot Wheels, Tonka Toys, Lionel Train set, Chemistry set, Ker Plunk, Twister, Lawn Darts, Jacks, Marbles, Operation, Clue, Battle Ship. All great and fun toys.
I remember all these games as a kid. They definitely don't make games like they used to. I see newer versions on store shelves and just pass them up because of that fact. I try to find the early versions of games in thrift stores; not easy to find them complete.
Kool Beanz I played with all these toys.as a matter of fact I slapped my sisters legs with a Hot Wheel race track then my father gave me a lesson in hitting and back in those days belts were totally acceptable. 💥did I learn anything? Hell No! 😛 I was banned from family game night for being a poor sport😠 all the time. my little bro was a poor sport too. I wonder how he learned that? Dude would toss the game and get banned all the time. he grew up and took up heavy drinking.
We had toss across game back then. The bags were grey had thin white stripes on them. The game was bigger then. We had loads of fun it lasted too. Haven't seen that one and I looked ?
Those were fun to see again! Remember Jarts? My brother got stabbed with one right through his shoe. I always loved Mouse Trap-- not because I ever played it, but because my brother and I loved to put it together and let it run!
I had spirograph, but it got got thrown out a long time ago by my parents I wish I could still can get it. Is it still available?🤔 please let me know.😊 thank you❤
@ thank you very much for the info. I had most of those games and toys when I was young. They were a lot of fun, especially tip. It tothe balance that on everything.
Mouse Trap, another 60s game is still available but it is plastic junk that doesn’t stay together just like Tip-It. I still have my Barrel of Monkeys and my grandkids love playing with it.
anybody remember the "Acrombie Challenge" I think it was called....plastic men that you would stack in acrobatic stunts. ? or there was a game that had old sailing ships as pieces and you would go around the world collecting gems, bottles of rum etc. I think they were pirate ships and you would get into battles with the others and steal their cargo.... I have no idea what the name of it was.....
I kept running out of ink in the pens, I used my Spirograph so much. Once the economy improves, I plan to buy a new set. My original set came up missing one day, I think my mother confiscated it because I neglected my chores in favor of playing on my Spirograph!
I saw that game advertised on TV. I shied away from that game when I saw not so a bit so likeable character carrying one to school. It was my fault for being funny when he was giving a demo to a classmate. I almost tipped Tim's hat. Ahhh!!!
Thank you for posting your videos. I really enjoy them. I have a question I hope you can answer as you are a collector of old toys and games and may know the answer. In the early 70’s I used to have a board game called “Swords and Shields”. I used to really enjoy playing it. I don’t remember which company released it, it may have been Milton Bradley. It would keep doing it until being stopped or the water would evaporate. I would love it if someone could tell me what it was called and if it could be found anymore.
I forgot all about Tip It. This brought back great memories. Thanks
I had a tip it
@@laurabailey1054
I have a Tip-iT
Barrel of Monkees, Spirograph, Hands Down, Stay Alive. I had all those games when I was a kid. Brings back a lot of great memories.
Barrel of Monkees only had four of them: Jones, Dolenz, Nesmith, and Tork. 😁
OMG, I had these games, and more. I loved Tip IT, Operation, Don't Break the Ice, and Mousetrap best. I actually forgot Tip It ever existed until this video, lol, and then the memories all came back.
I loved my Spirograph!
Preach! Best with a four-color pen, so you could change colors each time a full revolution concluded.
Me too! ❤

I must have seen that STAY ALIVE game commercial a thousand times back then. It really hit my nostalgia bone!!
"I'm the sole survivor!"
I see Tip It, I'm in!
My cousins had a great game closet, as we did. It's funny, looking back, the cousin who would try to cheat, or was a bad loser, grew up to be a creep 😅.

I used to have spirograph...what fun...I think us kids played all those games at one time or another..ty
Does anyone remember the board game Mystery Date??? I still have that game... I can't let go of it.. Me and my sister got it in the sixties for christmas.
Of course! My older sister had it. We tried to avoid picking “the dud!”
Today, that game might be classified as inappropriate :-)
🎶 Open the door for your Mystery Date... 🎶
I loved that game! Perfect slumber party game!
I remember it well. With my ADD I think it's the only game that could keep my attention. I can almost picture the dates. Thanks for the fun memory
I was very fortunate to get a Super Spirograph set years ago. It has a bonus gold colored cog in it. The pieces are still made of quality plastic like the original ones. I haven't seen these games in more than 50 years, thanks for posting:)
I loved Tip It! I mean, I totally lost it when my brothers or sister would put a bloody Red Disc right there... just before I had to go and get a Blue Disc.... (It's alright. I'm over it now. I was 7. Still getting therapy....)
😂😂😂
Trouble was another family favourite for us.
❤❤❤❤ still have mine!
When I was a kid I would go over to to visit the girl next door. We would watch The Flying Nun and play Tip It during the commercials.
I loved Operation. So addictive.
So many great memories of toy commercials and all made in America. You don’t see any toy commercials today,
Thats true -- except a few at Christmas.
I am a sales rep in the toy business and I'm sure these games directed me to my industry. How about 'Voodoo', 'Don't Spill the Beans', 'Kerplunk', 'Rebound', 'Shenanigans' and my sister's favorite, 'Mystery Date'. I still miss Gnip Gnop. That was a fun game!
I remember I got tip-it for my birthday. Really enjoyed it.
Loved all the toys and games!!! Played all of them!!!! Great fun times!!! ❤❤❤❤...😂😂😂😂...
That Spirograph stock music is something I have never forgotten since 1968.
I loved Spirograph too. I wish I still had it.
Good content bro.. I was born in 61... it's nice to go down memory lane on this type content....kudos!
Um, kind of like building Cootie bugs? I never learned to play the actual game.
I loved all these toys! My favorite was The Easy Bake Oven & Hula Hoop.
I fondly remember all the commercial jingles and received most of these games as Christmas presents. Spirograph was my favorite.
I grew up in the 60s and early 70s. My sisters and friends played for hours, all of the ones showcased here. I still have Tip It, Don’t spill the beans, Kerplunk, Trouble and Hands down that my kids played with in the 2000s

Thanks for the feedback Jim! Welcome.
I had a Spirograph when I was a kid. Loved it.
Spirograph was one of my favourite things. Trolls were lovely too
I have Tip It and have introduced it to the grandkids, they love it!
I loved hands down and Tip it!!
Tip It was one of my favorite games. I had the same tip it game as you. I think it might still be at my mom's house. I still have my spirograph set too.
These bring back so many good memories.
- Thx. Very fun :)
- As kid of the 60s, I played all the games shown, had a few, even have an original Spirograph (though not my original), but do have my original Twister (not shown in this vid).

I LOVED TIP it. I had all of these but Staying Alive. I still have my Spirograph.
If we spent the night at our Grandparents we’d always play Aggravation.
I was born in 1955 and had all those games except Stay Alive.
Did you get Lincoln Logs?
Spirograph is a lot of fun.
I just loved the jingle for the The Game of Life when l was a kid!
I had a tip it. My mum and I used to play together. I also had rebound and don’t spill the beans in the early 70’s. I also had an art thing called pendulart and I still have it.
I had American Plastic Bricks that came in a cardboard cylinder, they were cheaper than legos and quite popular in the mid 70s
Nice toys, I played them all, lol.
My grandparents on my mother side had all of these and whole lot more of these old time games. I'm sure a lot of people out there may still have these from the were younger.
Tip it looks like a great strategy game....i want it !
That LIFE game is circa 1971
My best friend had Hands Down, I always wanted to play it.
My sisters and I had Barrel of Monkeys, Tip-It and Spirograph (among many, many others). Spirograph was very cool, until the wheel slip off the teeth and ruined the design. :) I think Spirograph was my favourite though. It was like making your own string art without the string.
Cool videos man! You make some awesome stuff!
Thanks!
Life was so much better back then. No telephones or tablets
I loved Spirographs. The problem was when the pens ran out or were lost. The included pens had smaller ink tips than standard pens of the day. You could still use regular pens but you had to push down really hard and that would often cause the base ring to slip and ruining the pattern. Oh well, still great fun ! I loved my Spirograph, and recently purchased an anniversary set and the game of Life was a favourite of mine over Monopoly
I remember the Game of Life jingle!
I loved Don't Break the Ice. I'd play it so I could lose😊😂😊

I still have several of these old games and play them with the grandkids, chess they are to young yet
Tip-It was hella fun.
Sorry, Mouse Trap, Barrel of Monkeys, Masterpiece, Major Matt Mason, Gumby and Pokey, Hot Wheels, Tonka Toys, Lionel Train set, Chemistry set, Ker Plunk, Twister, Lawn Darts, Jacks, Marbles, Operation, Clue, Battle Ship. All great and fun toys.
Mom had Tip It, Spirograph, Etch A Sketch, etc
The new "Game of Life" is a lot more complicated to play.
I remember all these games as a kid. They definitely don't make games like they used to. I see newer versions on store shelves and just pass them up because of that fact. I try to find the early versions of games in thrift stores; not easy to find them complete.
I actually owned both Barrel of Monkeys & Spirograph
i also owned one of the most dangerous toys .. the original easy Bake oven
Battling tops was loads of fun
Spirograph introduced me to the lost art of symmography.
I had tip it and loved it
It looks like you never played with your toys, lol. They are in great shape.
And the spirograf was. Easy to get.. people tended to tire of them so u could always get one from a peer
The survival game sounds a bit sinister. I couldn't play anyway, I lost my marbles ages ago. Thanks Tom.
Kool Beanz I played with all these toys.as a matter of fact I slapped my sisters legs with a Hot Wheel race track then my father gave me a lesson in hitting and back in those days belts were totally acceptable. 💥did I learn anything? Don't spilled the beans, Don't break the ice games.the games trouble/headache.
Heh... I had Barrel of Monkeys, Hands Down, Game of Live and a Spirograph. Creeple People, Thing Maker, Time Machine...
Do you remember,Bizzy Buzz Buzz. I had one,I got it the same Christmas I got Spirograph, and Trouble. Those were the days.
I never had that toy but I do remember seeing them. I'll have to try and pick one up on ebay. Thanks.
I had spirograph, but it got got thrown out a long time ago by my parents I wish I could still can get it. Is it still available?🤔 please let me know.😊 thank you❤
I found mine at a flea market. They still produce it and you can buy a new set on Amazon. You can probably find vintage sets on ebay.
@ thank you very much for the info. I had most of those games and toys when I was young. They were a lot of fun, especially tip. It tothe balance that on everything.
We had Spirograph and The Game Of Life. Loved Spirograph but hated The Game Of Life.
You sunk my battleship!!😮
Mouse Trap, another 60s game is still available but it is plastic junk that doesn’t stay together just like Tip-It. I still have my Barrel of Monkeys and my grandkids love playing with it.
You can still get Spirograph at Hobby Lobby...

Hands Up Harry! Who remembers?
5:12 Is that Bobby Brady?
I kept running out of ink in the pens, I used my Spirograph so much. Once the economy improves, I plan to buy a new set. My original set came up missing one day, I think my mother confiscated it because I neglected my chores in favor of playing on my Spirograph!
I use other pens as long as they fit into the small holes.
I saw that game advertised on TV. I shied away from that game when I saw not so a bit so likeable character carrying one to school. It was my fault for being funny when he was giving a demo to a classmate. I almost tipped Tim's hat. Ahhh!!!
Where is the hands down commercial?
Thank you for posting your videos. I really enjoy them. I have a question I hope you can answer as you are a collector of old toys and games and may know the answer. In the early 70’s I used to have a board game called “Swords and Shields”. I used to really enjoy playing it. I don’t remember which company released it, it may have been Milton Bradley. It was a standard sized board with squares like checkers. The game pieces looked like little swords and shields. One opponent played as Swords and the other as shields. Do you know of this game? I never heard of it but I did see it on Etsy when I looked today.
Thank you!! THATS THE GAME! 😊Wow just seeing the pics of it brings back great memories!
I wish someone would find Dynamite Shack. It was a game with fake thumbs and a timer
I had that game....
