About four years ago I learned about color correcting for the first time and it was a revelation. I haven’t been without ever since. My under eyes are getting darker with age and concealer alone leaves them grayish. So in comes the corrector. I have tried some over the years. It depends on my day and mood which one I will use. My cheapest option is the Catrice instant awake under eye brightener which is similar to the Becca and Elf one. I tried the Nyx one that you reviewed but found that to be too dry and not hydrating. At the moment I love my Huda corrector but my favorite is from Sigma Beauty the Spectrum color correcting duo. And Just recently I saw a new to me Nyx option and can’t wait to try that as well. it’s called the Pro fix stick. It also comes in concealer shades.

Great video! The Caliray color corrector is very nice. It provides good coverage, non drying and pairs well with concealer. BTW, the new Tarte creaseless creamy concealer is amazing.

Second the cali-ray, although it is more liquidy it has a nice peach tone and works as a lighter coverage one and done. It is more on the luminous side imo, too.
Hi Carmel, like you I have deepset eyes and deep hollows with discolouration. The only colour corrector I've dabbled with was an Elf liquid concealer with doe foot applicator and found it too orange, so it put me off trying others. For me, as you mentioned, it's just another step that I don't really have time for and I think the sludge (teabag staining) colour under my eyes I struggle to find the right shade to cover. If I did decide to dabble again though, I would try the Nyx. Interesting video, thanks Carmel!! Xx❤

Hi Carmel, as you know, my under eyes are my main problem area, so this vid is appreciated. I have tried several correctors, but have had issues with them (mostly due to the extra layer of makeup like you said). But, my under eyes are so dry, that I should not blame the corrector or concealer. I tried Drmtology, NYX and others. Perhaps, I will try the Bobbi Brown one. I probably would only use a corrector occasionally too. I will try not to give up on hiding the blueish tones under my eyes as you always give me hope that I can improve the look of the area under my eyes. That is how I discovered your channel. Your videos are the best and so are you!

I Need color correctors! Natasha should have used that phrase for her corrector line 😂 Like you, I have dark circles, veins and sunkeness + bags now 🙄 My collection ranges from $$ to drugstore and they all work well but for different times. The Nars and LA Color are useful when my eyes are at their worst and I’m going out but I must use a concealer bc of the deepens of the peach. The Becca/Smashbox usually needs a dab of concealer but the Bobbi Brown I can use alone for light days as I bought the lightest shade and it oxidizes just enough to work 😊 I think you did a great job of explaining and demonstrating the options on the market today. Another product to consider is Eve Pearl’s dual concealer - two shades for each skin tone. I love the formula! I’m making myself wait and use up what I have before repurchasing. I have heard good things about Sigmas duo concealers but haven’t tried them.

After trying every color corrector under the sun, I've found my absolute favorite. Pixi Beauty's Correction Concentrate in Brightening Peach is a game-changer for my under-eye hollows, with Charlotte Tilbury's being a close second.

I will order this Pixie one right now-the Charlotte Tilbury Corrector in Medium has been the best I’ve found (I have the Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Natasha, Huda, Theatre makeup, Sisley…) and is the first step for my very dark trough circles. Then I go in with Sisley concealer shade 2, which further corrects, then Natasha Concealer, then Amazing Cosmetics brightening powder to set.

I’m a recent convert to colour correctors too! I love the Chanel one in peach, but it has to be said the Natasha Denona C3 wipes out all darkness and then I go in with the super moisturising VB concealer. It’s pretty much my only combo that’s full coverage but doesn’t make me look a million years old!

I have been experimenting with color correctors this year. First I fell in love with the Pixi corrector, but now I find it a little dry, and the product is getting harder to dig out. I also bought the sigma duo, but I can only use one of the shades so I hit pan in just a couple of weeks.. Now I have fallen in love with the Bobbi Brown corrector in a pot. It blends and covers perfectly! The pot is very small though, so I am tempted to buy the stick version.. Do you know if there is a difference between the two, other than the packaging?
@@Heidi-bp5jw Hi Heidi! It’s always strange when we fall out of love with a product, but I think it’s because our under eyes are always changing. That skin is so thin, if even if you’re a little dehydrated- it’ll reflect there! 😩 So in terms of the Bobbi Brown pot and stick, as far as I can see the pot is more full coverage and the stick is more lightweight and buildable. And obviously the stick is seen as more convenient for use. Hope that helps! 💕☺️

Hello Carmel, I don't use a corrector color under the concealer, I don't find much difference or maybe it's me who doesn't use it correctly and I often make mistakes regarding the concealer shades, in short a headache for me hahahha. Thank you for these explanations🤩🤩😄

I use color corrector for 3 years now. My favourite was Ilamasqua pigment, shade Emerge. I can't find it anymore because they stoped producing it. It's a shame because I used to get a lot of quality product for 25 euros (8gr). Since then I've tried everything that I could get my hands on to substitute it and I agree that Bobby Brown is the best for us who have deep blue or purple dark circles. I also have dark blue/purple circles and under my left eye big green vein so I simpathize with you 😅
