I see this happening everywhere around me in my local mosque and community and relatives etc. I was brought up the hanafi/deobandi way however alhamdulillah i have been striving towards the correct understanding of islam by striving to follow the pious predecessors known as the salaf-as-saliheen. more videos and awareness like this are needed for many are being misguided by the baraelwi/deobandi cultural beliefs from pakistan/india.
How about those congregational duas at weddings after the nikkah? Also I see some parents who usually are of Asian origin, use black kohl and paint a dot on the corner of their babies forehead to ward off evil eye.
please bro. i seriously need help today all my family members came together and they were calling upon someone besides Allah . they were calling and saying ya gauus ..etc such type of thing s and were saying make dua he will accept it .Astagfirullah ... and they are engaged in some major shirk like that .. they dont tawheed . i fear for them .. what should i do plz help me .. tell me what should i do .. if they force me to do the same .. plz tell .. even if i tell them that this is major shirk and Allah will not forgive u for this then they will not belive me plz help .. it is urgent

Allah the Almighty said: “Do they attribute as partners to Allah those who created nothing but they themselves are created? No help can they give them, nor can they help themselves. And if you call them to guidance, they follow you not. It is the same for you whether you call them or you keep silent. Verily, those whom you call upon besides Allah are slaves like you. So call upon them and let them answer you if you are truthful” (Surah al-A’raaf 7:191-194) Allah The Sustainer said: “And who is more astray than one who calls on (invokes) besides Allaah, such as will not answer him till the Day of Resurrection, and who are (even) unaware of their calls (invocations) to them? And when mankind are gathered (on the Day of Resurrection), they (false deities) will become their enemies and will deny their worshipping” (Surah al-Ahqaaf 46:6) Allah the Most Exalted said: “And those, whom you invoke or call upon instead of Him, own not even a Qitmir (the thin membrane over the date-stone). If you invoke (or call upon) them, they hear not your call, and if (in case) they were to hear, they could not grant it (your request) to you. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disown your worshipping them. And none can inform you (O Muhammad) like Him Who is the All-Knower (of each and everything).” (Surah Fatir 35: 13,14) Allah the Almighty said: “Turn [only] to Allah , not associating [anything] with Him. And he who associates with Allah - it is as though he had fallen from the sky and was snatched by the birds or the wind carried him down into a remote place.” (Surah Al hajj 22:31) Allah the Most Merciful said: "And invoke not besides Allah any that will neither profit you nor hurt you, but if (in case) you did so, you shall certainly be one of the polytheists and wrongdoers. And if Allah touches you with hurt, there is none who can remove it but He; and if He intends any good for you, there is none who can repel His favors which He causes to reach whomsoever of His slaves He wills. And He is the Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful" (Surah Yunus 10:106-107) Allah the Exalted said: "And he who associates others with Allah has certainly gone far astray’’ (surah An-Nisa 4:116) Allah the Exalted said: “We wronged them not, but they wronged themselves. So their âliha (gods), other than Allah, whom they invoked, profited them naught when there came the Command of your Lord, nor did they add aught (to their lot) but destruction” Hud (11):101 Allah the Almighty said: “Surely, the religion (i.e. the worship and the obedience) is for Allah only. And those who take Auliya' (protectors and helpers) besides Him (say) : "We worship them only that they may bring us near to Allah." Verily, Allah will judge between them concerning that wherein they differ. Truly, Allah guides not him who is a liar, and a disbeliever.” (Surah Az-Zumar 39:3) Allah the Almighty said: “And when those who associated others with Allah see their "partners," they will say," Our Lord, these are our partners [to You] whom we used to invoke besides You." But they will throw at them the statement, "Indeed, you are liars." (Surah Al Nahl 16:86) Allah the Almighty said: "You alone we worship; You alone we ask for help" [Al-Qur'an 1:5] The Prophet (ﷺ) said "Whoever dies while invoking anything other than Allah as a rival, will enter Hell (Fire) And I said, "Whoever dies without invoking anything as a rival to Allah, will enter Paradise." (Sahih al Bukhari Book 65, Hadith 4497) Nu’man ibn Bashir (RA) narrated the Prophet (SAW) said: “The supplication is itself worship.” Then he recited. And your Lord says, “Call upon Me, and I shall answer you. The Janzillah just ask yourself the question; “did the prophet saw did it?” I don’t think so, so it is heavy bid3ah and we MUST stay away from it.
