- Many foreigners, especially Australians, tend to think Indonesia and Thailand are similar countries. Today we went to ask Indonesian people what they think of Thailand and what are the differences between the two?

Banyak orang bule pikir orang Asia itu sama semua. Terkadang orang Aussie juga suka bingung antara Thailand dan Indonesia. Hari ini kita interview orang2 Indonesia di Sydney untuk caritau apa sih perbedaan antara Thailand dan Indonesia?!

I am Thai...been in Bali last year for a month.Most of local people thought I was Indonesian and they first talked to me in their language :)..so I think we Thai and Indonesian look alike.I love bali and I am planning to come back soon.

Phuket is not cheapppppppp!! It's like a different country. Westerners are everywhere. Hotels, food, traveling fare are expensive. I prefer to go to Indonesia than going to Phuket.

I'm not rich but still I think Phuket is still affordable compared to Ubud and Seminyak in Bali, Labuan Bajo in Flores - East Nusa Tenggara, and Raja Ampat in West Papua. Love from 🇮🇩

When I was new to work and had enough money to go abroad, Thailand was the first country I visited based on the recommendations of my friends. beautiful country, friendly people, cheap hotel and food. And the locals can speak English more or less, so it's very helpful for tourists. Highly recommended.

Do you know that Thai's international airport named Swarnabhumi mean land of gold in Indonesian? When visiting Thailand ten years ago I was amazed by the MRT system in Bangkok. It was modern, comfortable, and practical transportation network. All of Thais were friendly, and polite, exept someone whom I met in a market, I forget what the place name was.

Btw, I'm Aster from Yogyakarta, Indonesia. I came to Thailand 3 times for holiday and Maejo University exchange. I visited Hat Yai, Bangkok, and Northern Thailand part.
I love Thailand drama, horror movies, and songs! Even their beautiful and meaningful TV commercial break! I love Big Ass band, Phum Viphurit, and their actor actress. I know it's hard to sing Thai songs, how to pronounce and read Thai alphabets.
But, i have a dream to continue my Master degree at Chulalongkorn Univ next year. I hope i can read and speak Thai fluently, so I can make Thai cover songs on my youtube channel someday 5555!

If you're in Bali, just visit their neighbour island East Java and Lombok if you want to explore just nearby Bali.
East Java has Blue Fire and sulphur sight in mount Ijen, also mount Bromo to see spectacular sunrise. Meanwhile Lombok, I can say it is like Bali with much less tourists. Most touristic place in Lombok would be Gili Trawangan (Gili T), Senggigi and mount Rinjani 😁

เราชอบคนอินโด กับคนมาเลนะ คือวัฒนะธรรมใกล้มาก คุยกันได้ เวลาฮิตอะไรก็ฮิตเหมือนๆกัน
ที่ว่าคนไทยกับคนอินโดคล้ายกัน ผมคิดว่า คนไทยมุสลิมกับ คนอินโดที่เป็นมุสลิมเหมือนกันมาก ส่วนคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนและคนอินโดเชื้อสายจีน ก็เหมือนกันมากเช่นกัน
จึงทำให้คนไทยและคนอินโดดูเหมือนกัน

ไม่ต้องมุสลิมหรอกครับ คนทางใต้ที่เป็นคนดั้งเดิมจะคล้ายคนมาเลย์อินโดทั้งนั้นเพราะทั้งหมดคือคนกลุ่มมลายู มันคือเรื่องของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์แต่โบราณ เหมือนคนอิสานคล้ายคนลาว คนบุรีรัมย์คล้ายคนเขมรนั่นละ แต่ถ้าเอารวมๆ คล้ายคนไทยสุดนี่ยกให้ฟิลิปปินส์
