This is such a helpful video I've been dying to see. Thank you, Ms Yusuf. I intend to do my PhD in either clinical or organizational psychology. I have my BSc in psychology and I’m scared that I might not get a job in that area after I graduate. I'd like to know what your thoughts are about a PhD in psychology and what other areas would you advise me to explore. I've always wanted to go into tech, specifically UI/UX design and I have had a little knowledge about it. I enjoyed UI/UX design so much but most schools don't offer it, let alone provide full funding for it. However, my brother advised I could still pursue my PhD in psychology while building my UI/UX design skills as it would help me get a job even before/after graduation.
Thank you very much for this information. I have been having the same issue on deciding on a course to study. I did fisheries for undergrad but now i want to move to marketing and communication. So I have started checking out for school for communication.( most schools didn’t have funding for marketing and most were not offering it for grad school) but I just keep thinking about the job market for communications.
congratulations on your graduation!!. You can do a Masters in Communications with a concentration in marketing but if you don't like it, you could later switch to an MBA.
Hiii miss Yusuf🥰🥰… Thank you so much for sharing with us. You look really good. I’m looking to pursue a master’s in public health but I don’t know how to get a graduate assistantship. Please can you give some advice?
The usual way as I discussed I my video on application. Be careful also as some schools do public health as an online course and if they’re admitting you that means you don’t have to travel / study physically
Most likely not but it depends on the school. If you are fully funded, your assistantship might cover for the new program if you want to add it to the old.
Hello miss yusuf , My daughter studied law ,please which course is lucrative in usa that she can study for masters with her law degree. Urgent answer pls
Great content! My bsc is genetics and biotechnology but I want to do cybersecurity in masters, is it possible, cause I have experience in cybersecurity automation engineering? Can I use a proof of English letter from my university to apply for admission? Thank you.
Yes you can use a proof of English letter. For changing courses, might be hard to convince the visa officer but since you have experience, should be easier
Pls I m a fresh graduate of mass communication, pls can I still choose mass communication for my masters? And will it be a good choice for career over there ? And I hope it wouldn’t be academic career
Hello, I'm reaching out for advice. I hold an undergraduate degree in law and have some work experience in the field until late 2021. However, I transitioned into tech in 2022 and have been working in that field since then. Now, I'm considering applying for a Master of Laws (LLM) program in the USA, with the hope of securing a graduate assistantship (GA). My motivation for pursuing an LLM is that many tech roles require a science background, which I lack. Given my legal background and limited experience in tech, I'm wondering if I'm on the right track. Should I proceed with the LLM application, or should I explore other options?
Please I need clarification. I'm trying to create a CV for masters application. But I don't know what kind of CV is best suited for the application. Is it a professional work CV or an academic CV?
You can do one that covers both your past academic and professional past. But try to make it 3 pages max so it’s not too bulky. This could be helpful in not just applications but consideration for funding.
Its health related so the possibilities are there but do your research well on the job market / specifically the area within that you would like to build a career in.
@@Miss_Yusuf Hello. Thanks for the response. About the last statement, what do you mean by the needs for papers to practice after grad. Does this mean that Social workers have limited chance to get a job after grad?

You look so good, is Medical laboratory science a good course to study in America for masters and can it create a pathway to citizenship after graduation?
You can apply for Communication M.A or even same English if you want a career in academics. Even if you come and don't like it eventually, you can change to whatever you want.
Good evening, please what’s the job rate for education like I studied chemistry education as my first degree and I’m thinking of applying for my Ph.d in Education Is teaching jobs in high demand please?
Currently in 100L I’m studying international relations I hoping to apply for graduate assistantship in my 4th do you have any good courses in mind I can study to aid my career path
Awwwn It’s also hard cause IR doesn’t have a specific area for work and is broad. Think of what you’re interested in and select something related that’s in high demand.
Good. You could explore a career in academics through a PhD after your masters or the health if you acquire more hands on experience through things like internships.

Nice video. This is really helpful. But quick question, after getting to America and one wants to change course, will the tuition paid be refunded??

You could ignore your experience in tech and put forward those related to law / even if it’s pro bono work, volunteer or social work related.
Does that mean I should not include my tech experience in CV when submitting my application ?
Seeing you, I just smiled 😊😊you look good 👍

Hello. I followed you here from TikTok. I’m a fresh graduate of Social work. What do you think getting a masters in it?
You could still explore that for masters but the risks are limited funding in the departments and the need for papers to practice after grad.

Sure, its still within/related to your field
You look so good, is Medical laboratory science a good course to study in America for masters and can it create a pathway to citizenship after graduation?
And would you advice me to go for Canada or America please?
Most times Health courses are advantageous in terms of job demand. More research could be helpful.
Dicey one. Canada has a seemingly straightforward path to residency compared to America. However, in terms of earnings and tax, America is better IMO.
I read English in Education for undergraduate… what are some Masters programs you’d suggest🙏🏾

From what I hear they’re in demand. When you start don’t forget networking is very important for opportunities. All the best !
I want to apply for a masters in communication with an emphasis in Health communication. But I keep wondering how life after the masters would be.
One can only be hopeful. Try to explore volunteering roles or internship as you study. That’ll help
