It's my favorite MG.
Turn A is Post Cocaine-Pre AIDS 80’s good. It got pointy boots, bell-bottoms, that mustache with a tight shirt and just enough yellow gold to to let you know that this suit FUCKS and you are going to have a good time.
I think the radiator blades on the back of the legs is my favorite gimmick.
I have the hg and it is as beautiful as the mg, just lacking the chest gimmicks. The beam sabre effect parts are the same as with the G-self which is another super cool design. Fingers crossed for a Mg G-self.
I use to hate the mustache but, one day it somehow won me over. Now I have the kit in my back log. Love how the kit comes with a cow. Best gundam accessory ever.
You are correct in saying that the all blue chest is used throughout the whole anime, the white cross only showed up in Syd Meads artworks of the suits
That makes sense. Guess I love his design more than the animation.
The MG Turn A is one of the best looking MGs out there. Syd Mead did a fantastic job with it's design and Katoki really managed to put it to plastic in a fantastic way.
I remember when the Turn A was announced as the 100th Master Grade. People were so damn salty about it because Bandai had announced MG Destiny Gundam around the same time. People were crying because many of them never heard of Turn A and the 100th MG announcement was their first exposure to it. People shat on it because of the design and it that the show was unpopular. I was one of the many people who learned about Turn A due to that announcement but I liked the design and watched the series to give it a chance. I'm glad that I watched it because it became my favorite Gundam series of all time. I hope someday, we can get an MG or even a RE100 of the Golden Sumo.

12:14 the two イ stickers are color correcting stickers for the side skirts.
HOWEVER, the ア is a reflective sticker for behind the eyes that catches the light really nice (like the "A" in the chest of the MG AGE kits).

I’ve grown to love this kit over the years. Put some moonbeam wings on it and oh boy, beautiful. Fun fact: This was Bandai’s 100th Master Grade produced.

Prices are going crazy, glad I picked a copy of it, since Bamco probably won't make a remaster in the near future.
Lmao... This is exactly me. I hate it, its ugly, it is very not gundamish. The animation is shit. Overall mobile suit design is also shit. Some of my friend dare me to watch it. Okay.. It wont change my mind. And here i am... Watching several review of MG and HGCC of turn A. I DEFINETELY LOVE IT and WANT IT!!!

Beautiful, functional kit that articulates true to the anime. Has a cow. I own two of these MGs and want a third to play around with panel lining and weathering techniques.
This one and the Turn X are great kit, I wonder if we will ever get the BF variant to the Turn A with slightly different parts.

I got the updated High Grade of this and picked up two of the Gunpla Starter Set Vol.2 for the two Gundam Hammers. I gotta say, it looks absolutely great with them.

I always liked the Turn A’s design, but after finishing the anime when GundamInfo had it on their channel I for sure want this MG.
I've been eyeing this kit for a while now and after this review I'll definitely get it when it's available locally.

I have like 3 MGs of it in my Turn A shrine. It's such a fun build.

I really want to buy another MG Turn A at some point. I loved building this kit 5 years ago back when I was in high school, but unfortunately the right hand broke out of nowhere a few months later after trying to pose it. Though if I get the Turn A I would also need buy the Turn X to go together.

Although I'm not much of a U.C. fan, at the very least I will say that the SYSTEM ∀-99 ∀ Gundam
is a unique design, and I agree people should give the series and the mobile suits a chance; especially if you're a U.C. fan. Actually, this series takes place in the 'Correct Century
' from what I understand. What's the difference?
What I understand about the blue versus white chest piece, the original design by Syd Meade had the white one and in the anime it was blue. Atsushi Shigeta is the one that did the 'clean up' designs.
Anyway, if you get this MG, you might as well pick up the MG CONCEPT-X 6-1-2 Turn X
. There's a P-Bandai HG WD-M01MS ∀ Gundam Shin
for those who prefer a slightly more traditional look. There's also a P-Bandai MG WD-M01 ∀ Gundam / CONCEPT-X 6-1-2 Turn X [Nano Skin Image] and a P-Bandai MG WD-M01 ∀ Gundam (Moonlight Butterfly Ver.).

CC takes place several centuries after UC. So they're different timelines.

i just cant get used to how ugly turn A is, turn X absolutely blows it out the water. having to abide to traditional gundam motifs held back the turn A's design to the more humanoid proportions, while the turn X is allowed to embrace asymmetry and overlapping hard surfaces as well as a completely unique silhouette
