- The big collaboration is here! In this video myself, AmbiguousAmphibian and Pr1vateLime take on the outbreak as three police officers. This was a gameplay event that was put together by a team put together of my moderators, Project Zomboid staff members and my patrons. Huge thank you to everyone that took part!

This needs to be a multiple part series, like do one from a regular people survivors pov and maybe firefighters or EMT too

@@HaleTheFreeVoice fr have like a wheel of occupations for people. Keeping traits minimal. And then have them start with an initial objective.
The RP aspect gives so much depth to this game... the whole "notes" thing is amazing, a shame it's almost impossible to implement that level of detail into this kind of game by default
Hopefully we get a story mode!
I disagree, with annotated maps already existing in the game I think it's completely doable to have notes and written messages scattered throughout the map.
Maybe a Dev could deliberately create ten notes each week? By the tenth week you'd already have a hundred notes all across Knox county, each one unique.
actually you can randomly find annotated maps to stashes or safehouses in the game already
@@sephsticles1016 Exactly as this video showed. Like how survivor homes are a thing, there could be survivor huts that you can find by stumbling upon them, or by finding a map/notes.

Complete Foreshadowing of the Hospital event.
I understand that it's RP but if that happened in real life it would be really unprofessional and really dangerous to not say any details. It was fun to watch though!
That last stand was truly amazing, the sad music fit perfectly. 3 Officers who are just trying to protect the people, face hundreds of infected surrounding the hospital with no way out. Firing their shotguns into the horde of unrelenting dead, trying to put themselves between the zombies and the surviving hospital staff and patients. Then they lose their first officer who's death bought just a little more time only to find all their exits were swarmed. The 2 officers try to find a way out for the panicking civilians, only to be scattered from each other and forced to run in their own directions. With one officer trying to clear the glass so some people could hop through the window, only to get bit on the ankle and forced to jump outside and try to run for the cars. All he hears is screaming from the civilians who are being swarmed, and over the radio his partner tells him how it's not looking good before the radio cuts and his screaming is heard. The final officer, not knowing if anyone is alive, limps back to the cars, and finds the horde waiting for him, seeing the hordes closing in from all sides he runs into the parking lot. He pulls out his pistol and makes his final stand, killing a few zombies before they swarm him and he is devoured.

As Carl ran he heard the screams of the final officer, knowing that to go back was suicide. He ran and ran and ran some more only stopping to rest for short breaks before continuing to run. He knew those screams would haunt him till the day he died. He made the choice to return to that cabin the officers mentioned and as he made his way there to survive till the end of this nightmare, he realized that he never learned the officers names. When a nameless survivor stumbled across the cabin a year later they would find a very safe refuge, a memorial, and a note but no one home. The memorial was simple, three hand drawn pictures of three men in police uniforms with fresh-ish flowers laid at their base. The note was as follows," Hey if your reading this my shit is now yours. I've probably been bit by a shambler or even just drank some Clorox to end it all, but it's not likely. I've been planning to go back to where those officers gave their lives. Louisville Hospital. I never got their names and I want to try and find their name tags and if they are a shambler I aim to put them down. Keep an eye on the place if I do come back. Should probably date this so some one knows when I left that is if anyone is alive. The date is June 14th I think.

Referring to the "floor burritos". One time, in County Jail (irl) I had just gotten my commissary order, HUGE order and we were making burritos for lockdown time at night. Anyways, in the process, my entire bag of ingredients fell onto the cell floor... I luckily kept that floor spotless, cleaned 4x a day so it wasn't TOO horrid. We both agreed never to tell anyone else about it, scooped it back up, brushed it off and cleaned it all as good as we could. Added the water, finished it, wrapped it up and ate till our bellies were full... Good ole' "floor burritos"...

I've always felt super awkward with RP to be honest, but the others did a great job and I felt like I could just be a side-character lol

TIL A Cop seeing a pile of corpses on the side of the road and immediately bolting for the nearby Pizza shop while dropping some cheesy lines is "Nailed it" level RP.

The whole notes thing is amazing, and is something that really should be implemented into the game either as a mod or as an actual feature so that whenever you run out of things to do, you can go in little expeditions to find notes and new places and stories within these notes. I personally try to write either notes, diaries, or annotate the actual maps so that whenever someone inevitably finds my corpse, they can experience what I did through my maps, notes, etc.
I would love to find notes in game as a standard feature! Adds a little bit of storytelling.

This puts a ton more depth in the PZ lore, I still remember the 2d graphics from the old days.
We really wanted to expand that outbreak scenario. We know so little about it in today's PZ, so this is our take!
This was awesome! The SCREAMS each person made when they got mauled was awesome! So gruesome!
Really nice touch by the editor to add radio effects to some of it too. That wasn't included originally!

I’d love to see a server where people RP trying to maintain some sort of society after the outbreak, with the occasional admin event to keep things interesting, like a huge horde moving towards where everyone is and people deciding to leave or stay and defend their homes
could base it in the abandoned town near riverside, plenty of space and starting zombie population is sparse to say the least

It was so fun, i rightfully regret taking on a role that was more engaging but had fun decorating the little closet with stuff, it was a fun experience even though waited 2 and a half hours in a locked room which i didn't mind, i knew what i got myself into, looks like you guys had fun playing too! Enjoyed my 2 mins of screen time...
Just so you know, in zomboid fashion, Mr Atomic Duck wasn't suppose to survive the attack on the hospital he just lucked his way out and I'm guessing he just gave up haha would've been great if he was the only survivor and just ended the video of him running away, either way great vid was well worth the wait

As others have mentioned, RPing in PZ is the way to play, especially once you have played long enough to have done everything. PZ is a game about creating goals and surviving through the journey

We need game starts like this. The NPC AI doesn't even have to be that good to make this happen on top of that.
Hopefully we get something like this in future!
This is what the official game needed: Scenarios that fleshed out the world in the perspective of First Responders. Whether if you're playing as a cop (Firearms), a firefighter (Axe-crazy Obstacle Destruction), the military (A Test of your learned skills), or even a Grocery Store Worker (Inventory Sorting/Obstacle Obstruction). Doing so would have given us some in-depth tutorials in how to play the game instead of throwing us blindly into the abyss.
Literally the three best zomboid content creators.

This is actually the most unique Zombie...er, "movie" I 've seen in a long time. Like a zombie-mystery, of sorts. That whole one-step behind, "what's gong on?" plot-line sets a great tone.
I love it! Good story telling and I actually wanna see more. You guys should all do each profession RP story starting from firefighter, and down the list. Can't wait to see more of this

Having official short campaign like these in the game would be pretty interesting.
Something that lead to the current outbreak where the path is linear but the player character is already destined to die.
Basically, there won’t be any extra supply outside of the story area, or any way for consistent resources for survival and that most action for survival purpose are disabled, so that everything is predetermined.
"The pizza tastes like crime." Pizza Hut isn't what it used to be.
Honestly, until this video, I never thought about the RP aspect of MP. This made me think about PZ in a whole new light. It has been such a desperately lonely game since the v.41 upgrade, not so great in a time of isolation. I'm so excited about playing this shit like a MathasGames Dr. Laura Ward episode !!

Love seeing the Community take advantage of the various functions the game has. One can say that Project Zomboid can be one of the most indepth Civilian Roleplay game without it evening knowing.
